I decided to try Eterna Day Spa because it was close to where I was living and had very good reviews. The online booking process was so easy! However, something happened with my appointment and I had a confirmation but it was not in their system. Rightfully, I was frustrated and annoyed because they did not have me listed and I had an event to go/flight to catch that day. The staff was receptive of the frustrations I had and did the best they could to make my experience a good one. Even though I had to wait about an hour longer than when my appointment was scheduled. I just want to emphasize that even though I had to wait the staff/manager/boss had very good customer service given the situation and were doing what they could to make everything right. The actual gel manicure and spa pedicure looked very good and I was pleased. The only complaint that I have is that the massage leg/hand part of the manicure was a lot less than I usually get at salons. Probably less than 2 min! I will def be giving this place another shot. Hopefully, the massaging of the pedicure and manicure improves! I know it's what a lot of people look forward to when getting their nails done. read more

Nicole did an amazing job of removing and replacing my acrylics. The chrome gel polish is flawless. She really took her time and did exactly what I asked for. I think they are a bit pricier than other nail studios but the high quality was worth the cost and I love that you can schedule an appointment online or with their app. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Ken nailed it on the spot and provided his professional recommendation to help my indecisiveness. I love when a stylist adds their professional experience to enhance what I think I want. I waited a month to give a review because I wanted to see how well they hold up. Honestly I'm shocked that they still look great, although not as full of course. I got a lash lift and tint done here for the first time. After watching a bunch of videos of this procedure being done, and doing some research, I finally did it. My appointment was at 5, but I arrived at 4:39 expecting to wait a bit, but luckily she took me right away. The person who did the procedure was very sweet and friendly. The procedure itself was not really what I expected. It was a little uncomfortable and a bit painful at times. I don't think this was due to the person doing it, it's probably just what comes with it. With each 15 minute round, there was always a slight stinging sensation. It really burned when the tint was applied. I asked if that was normal and she said yes, it's from the lash lift, not the tint, which is organic. Once she cleaned me up and I looked in the mirror, I honestly couldn't really see anything because my eyes were so sore and watery, so I thanked her, paid, and left. The stinging went away within an hour or so and I finally got to see the results. When I looked closely I realized that my natural lashes kind of suck, so maybe this procedure wasn't for my kind of lashes. It looks like I curled them myself with an eyelash curler. I think this procedure is definitely for people with naturally long and thick lashes. Even though it wasn't for me, I'm sure other people would love it. The customer service at this salon is top notch and I'll definitely come back for another service some other time--maybe lash extensions, instead! read more

I feel really bad leaving this review because I really like this salon. I love the online booking, everyone is so friendly, and is clearly focused on giving clients a good experience. I got a gel manicure here a couple weeks ago and has an overall positive experience. Last night, however, I had my first "dip" manicure. I had no idea what the process entailed or what to expect so I had no idea how wrong the procedure was going. The whole manicure took almost 2 hours. My nails were on the shorter side but at the end, the solidified dip was thick, uneven, and the skin under my nails was glued solid to my nails, which was painful. My nails looked like someone smeared uneven silly putty on or like I had been dredging a wet breadcrumb mixture and didn't wipe them off. At one point, my manicurist was trying to sand down my uneven pointer finger so much, that she reached my actual nail again, removing the color of the dip product put on. She tried to patch it up at the end of the service, but the nail still had uneven color on it. I was so flustered and overwhelmed when I was done, not knowing if this is what the dip was supposed to be, I rushed out of the salon after paying and called the nail salon from my old neighborhood to ask if they could take me last minute to fix it because what I did know was that my fingers hurt from the skin being glued to the nail and I didn't want puttied nails. I didn't even stop to take a picture because I was so flustered and anxious to get it fixed. I now know that the dip is supposed to look natural on top of your nails, not be overly thick and gloppy, and in no way should I have had my skin glued to the nail. I might consider going back to this salon because it is so convenient to my home, but I would never get another dip here again. read more

I have to be honest - my first experience here was a 1- star experience BUT I am a believer in second chances. (Especially when management reaches out and has stellar customer service) Similar to the first appointment there was a scheduling mistake and I had to wait 20 minutes despite being on time. I hope scheduling improves. Other than that: Kathy was amazing! She took care of these to'e up cuticles. They really needed someone meticulous. I really like how she shaped my nails also. I do see some minor chipping/peeling (after a week) but overall love my gel manicure. Heng did my pedicure! She is also amazing! Super detailed and pleasant to speak with. Love both of them! I had a pretty good experience here. The only reason why I give 4 stars is because I had a HORRIBLE reaction to the glue. I guess whatever kind of glue they used triggered a reaction in my eyes but they were red and swollen for about three days. My eyes were bloodshot and they hurt sooo badly whenever I blinked. I am a little scared to return bc I don't want anything bad happening to my eyes... i highly suggest doing your research on the adhesive used and just make sure it's something you may not have a reaction to. I've had lashes done plenty of times before and this has never happened... the woman who did my lashes was so sweet. She did an AMAZING job!!! It's conflicting- I recommend because she did a GREAT job. But MY eyes hurt so badly afterwards.. Doesn't necessarily mean it'll happen to you (the reader) too... I started using this salon because my previous one started hiring inexperienced technicians. The experience in Eterna was excellent, so I didn't mention the name of my favorite manicurist - Heng, when I made the next appointment and get another person (I didn't get the name). The girl looked sweet and attentive, but she asked every step as if she was doing it for the first time in her life (the task was simply to update the gel French manicure). When it started peeling and crumbling the next day, I was at the airport on the way to another cost, so I contacted them from Seattle - I have sent a photo and asked about their policy. They answer with the booking a new appointment at the day after my return. Today I was there and my technician this time was Heng again, so the nails are excellent again. However, I was surprised when I told about the discount for the previous time (to be honest, I expected a refund). The admin and her assistant spoke to me reluctantly and literally pushed five bucks. When I objected to my wasted $50 and valuable time, they said I was entitled to 10% and according to their records, I paid $35 only. I checked my account - I paid $53. This is a good question for their auditors. I always admire American small businesses, but paying for work not done is a charity, not a business. This is a matter of right policy: you must stand for the quality of service provided, not hiding behind the good reputation of a few excellent craftswomen in your salon to cover up your poor management and hiring mistakes. Shame on you. I will continue to use this salon only because of high skills of Ms Heng, but I wouldn't recommend the place itself. read more

First time going here and will not be my last. Found this when another spa cancelled my appointment due to weather and Eterna Day Spa responded. I am so glad they did, close to work and very friendly. Made my appointment and they took me two hours later. Went in and they greeted me nicely. Everyone smiled and the owner/receptionist at the time said they were ready for me. She had texted earlier and said that Sophia would be my specialist and she came to the front and walked me back. Sophia was very professional and began quickly. She seemed to know exactly how to do her craft. I was there for a nose and ear wax and she moved quickly as knowing how sensitive this was. I have been a client with Eterna Spa for about a year and I can honestly say my experience has been mixed. All I can say is don't choose Sophia. She's too rough and impatient. What did it for me was when I had a late appointment that started around 7:45pm est and she had dinner before having me. I noticed her looking and feeling fatigued, which admitted to me. So I thought nothing of it. As she proceeds to do my acrylic set and shape my nails (in a rush and this is typical Sophia fashion!), the nail file she was using kept cutting the sides of my fingers... I expressed pain and moved each time I felt pain and not surprisingly I started bleeding and she says "it's because you moved that's why the file cut me." And in my defense I told her it's my reaction to feeling pain in 1st place. Before mind you I started my appointment even later than 7:45pm as I got there she was finishing up another client. I had sent a picture of what I wanted my manicure to look like and my results were near opposite! She chalks it up to well I did the best I can even when I asked to change somethings. She also told me that "it's because I have sensitive skin that's why I'm bleeding" (as she shrugs). After my acrylics was done my fingers were sore and swollen throughout the night. The worst part was when I went to start my gel pedicure. I looked around and it was just the two of us and everyone has either clocked or finished their appointment. I go to put my feet into the water and it was burning hot. Naturally I removed my feet and asked to reduce the temp by adding cooler water and then she says: "oh if I put cold water you'll say it's too cold if I put hot water you'll say it too hot." I'm like why are you acting like this the client needs a good and relaxing experience, but nope not this time. She shrugishly adds cooler after I asked twice... it was still hot and then I asked again and she yells. "The water is warm now and it's just you." First I was shocked by her response and gave up and put my feet in the water... I let her finish, I paid and didn't tip. Just as I was about to leave I had asked her if she was leaving so we can leave together because it was dark outside and I had parked in a dark garage of the mall, she says "oh it's safe, I tell you." So I walked by myself. Her tone and attitude through my appointment was rude and off putting and no one was there to witnesses it. The moral of the story is DON'T GO TO SOPHIA!!! read more
