TERRIFYING experience!!! i got my lashes done by Lucie. My EYEs got burned for 2days and yellow looking mucus developed on my lashes. i Came back asking for a removal! The owner, Lucie refused to do a refund to my Card. i rather flush my $64 down the drain than giving it to them. DO NOT GET LÁSHES from this PLACE. **Plus they make you sign a Consent and Release form. Basically you are F**ked. you cant take them to court, if for, all the damage they do to your EYEs. BE WARNED!!! tiny print in the consent form, the line goes something like this "i agree and release, forever discharge from any and all claims, damages and legal actions in connection with procedure and conduct used to apply eyelash extensions." now, i regretted that i have signed that consent form. Lucie and Ken are both amazing. My lashes get so many compliments because they look like natural lashes. It's a little pricier then most but spending a little bit more money for lashes that last is worth it . I walked in with my friend yeste, Ivory greeted us with a big welcoming smile. Then Anne-Caro took care of me. She is amazing, great smile and told me some problems with my feet and made me relax and enjoy the manicure and pedicure. She took her time which i loved, most people just rush over and within a couple of minutes its done which sucks. I will definitely tell my friends about this place and about Caro. After having a bad experience with them due to the online scheduling app around 6 months ago, the owner of the spa reached out to me and asked me to come back and give them another try. Didn't want to at that time but to my surprise, she still kept my contact info and reached out to me recently and asked if I would come back & give their eyelash extension service another go for free! I thought what could I lose so I took her up on her offer and they got me into an appt. Very pleased with my new full set of eyelashes: they are very natural looking and compared to other places, the technician was able to get me done in an hour and it doesn't itch or bother my eyes. I badly needed a summer pedicure and a new manicure after my nails were destroyed by a very bad powder dip job at another salon. I checked Yelp, and found this place. I called, as I was taking both my daughter (mini mani pedi), and my son (toenails clipped) as well. I wasn't going to take them to Red Door as I was so upset when they put their "No Children" policy up. I also didn't want to pay as much as I would at a day spa like Woodhouse (my current favorite), and I wanted to make sure that they were clean and wouldn't clip their cuticles as another salon did with my daughter, even after I asked them not too, and cut her. Aside from how horrible I felt, I never heard the end from our pediatrician! Granted, Wheaton is definitely not the most convenient location for me, but I'm willing to drive a little for quality. Linda, did my nails. She was very friendly, helpful, patient, and did a great job, I will definitely be back to see her! The lady who did my daughter's nails was okay, but tried to overcharge. My son liked the guy who did his toenails. He seemed quiet but kind. My son said he did a good job. Granted, he's only had his toenails done once before. He basically had an expensive foot bath and toenail clipping with a little leg massage as I won't allow any pumice exfoliating or cuticle trimming, and h-e double hockey sticks would freeze over before he allowed anyone to put nail polish on him! Everyone there is very nice, the location is great, and the app makes scheduling very easy. The prices are very reasonable, and they offer a good student discount. I am very happy with the manicures, pedicures, waxing, and facials I've gotten at Eterna. I've had a manicure/pedicure with Linda as well as a manicure/pedicure, eyebrow wax, and facial with Aramesh. They are both wonderful! My only suggestion is that it would be nice if the website had more details about the differences between different types of manicures/pedicures as well as descriptions of the different types of facials. read more

My friend and I made an appointment a few days ahead of time for 2 manicures and eyebrows. We got there and there was a wait, but the employees kept checking in and apologizing. It turns out there was a staffing issue that came up last minute. My friend ended up being taken a while after the appointment, and they upgraded her regular manicure to gel, and covered the cost. They also lowered my cost by a bit (I waited a bit less). They had me download a handy app for $5 off my visit, and I will be using it the future to book appointments. My friend and I came in at 6:30 on a Sunday, in a rush, after going to a different nail salon that wasn't open as late as Yelp said it was. We were worried that they wouldn't let us get our gel manis since they close at 7, but Lee, who was my technician, very kindly told us that she could squeeze us in. Total lifesaver! Edit: I previously posted a one-star review on how I had an uncomfortable experience with one of the nail techs (Annie) aggressively commenting and making me feel anxious about my sweaty hands, as I was born with a condition that causes that. As soon as I came from the nail salon I posted a review on here explaining the experience. The owner, Seyi, immediately responded on here and sympathized with me. She called my phone and immediately went to the store in Wheaton to discuss the situation with Annie and to explain to her that her behavior was unacceptable. She followed up with me and her words were very comforting. She ensured that I received a refund and that if I ever come back, that she would personally allow me to be on the other side with another nail tech who is more understanding of my condition. :) All I can say is that after this experience, it is so amazing and refreshing to see a successful business owner that is so compassionate about her customers concerns. It is tough finding a decent nail salon in this area, however, Eterna Day Spa is a good find at a decent price for manicures and pedicures. Sy, typically does my nails and takes his time and is fairly meticulous about trimming my cuticules and painting my polish smoothly. Eterna Day Spa is also one of the few salons in the area that uses OPI gel polish and not the bootleg gel polish brands that some of the other salons use. This is important since the other brands tend to chip off in under 2 weeks, unlike OPI which can last up to 3 weeks. read more
