I was shocked how busy this place was on a Monday afternoon! This place has a little bit of everything for everyone! They have a coffee shop, bakery, seafood, Italian, and a butcher! The bakery is what caught my eye because the delicious pastries filled the air with the scent of sweet cinnamon rolls. Although somethings are pricey there, the bakery was around $3-$4 per pastry, not too bad. Great place to stop by for lunch, they have an open seating concept and lots of options for lunch! Like I previously said, it is a bit on the pricier side but its to be expected with a prime location in the RINO area. Tip: If you have time and you are dressed weather appropriate, take a walk around the perimeter of the building- even the alley way behind the building. Larimer St. in Downtown Denver is more incredible than ever. Thanks to the new Denver Central Market, the Arts District continues to be a must visit. Instead of wishing for farmer's market season to return now you can get all the pastries and breads from Izzio's at the Denver Central Market any day of the week. Best of all it probably is fresher than all those pastries you see outside in the markets during the hot summers. In addition to pastries, desserts, and breads they sell sandwiches and other breakfast/brunch items I've yet to try. From this location I've had both their morning bun and Colorado Queen (kouign amann) and both were delicious. Izzio's is still the only bakery in Denver I know that sells kouign amann so that keeps me coming back! They open early and unlike many bakeries are open until late in the day so it's also a great place to grab dessert after a meal at the market. I was only disappointed at the lack of croissant varieties I found on a Sunday morning. They were only selling plain croissants that day and I wasn't the only customer who asked if they were selling any other kinds, especially their very popular almond or chocolate croissants. Otherwise, it's nice to have a good bakery in RINO which is a quick walk from downtown. read more

And not too crazy sweet! It's even amazing 2-3 days later. Went to the soft opening last night. Being from SF, where collective markets are just beginning to pop up, this one impressed me. The venue hosts 9 separate, full size shops including a confectionary, an ice cream bar, a cocktail bar, a bakery, a butcher, a salad/produce bar, a pizzeria, a rotisserie, and a charcuterie and cheese shop. All places boasted quality offerings. I tried the rotisserie, bought some cheese and walked away with a coconut creme brûlée ice cream. Yum. My only complaint is that I couldn't take home oysters because the butcher didn't sell a shucking knife. Now I'm trying to figure it when I'll make it back to Denver to return! read more

Popping in for a fresh baked treat daily is going to be a test of my will power. Their only fail in my book, the breakfast burrito. It starts out a little pricey ($5), then if you want pork belly (because they don't have bacon) it's $2.50 more. Instead of green chili, or even salsa it has pico in it. So not only does it have no bacon (sin 1), it's bland as all get out (sin 2), and it's expensive (sin 3). That said, the cinnamon roll did an admirable job of helping me forget my disappointing burrito. read more

It's a bakery, it's a name brand, and it's close to home! They are open early, which is nice. Alas they don't do a good breakfast burrito. It's not mixed well, it's got no spice, the chorizo is meh, hubby got the pork belly and for 2.50 he got 4 peices, with no char, and just boiled mehness... Definitely nice to have baked goods near by, but i'll still drive a bit to get my breakfast burrito! They also do a good job with the order processing and getting the lines moving. read more

Great new spot to Denver that's got a little something for anyone. Produce, meat, coffee? Done. Sandwiches, pizza, ice cream? Done. Drinks in the same vein as the Union Station? Done... Also cheaper. The staff is incredibly friendly, and will share their favorites, where the meat comes from, how they cure it, and so on. Yeah! This place is an awesome addition to Denver and will be a regular stop for our family. Great, friendly vibe with local vendors such as produce, meat, pasta, ice cream, coffee, bakery and more. Stick to the pastries! They are amazing, the breakfast burrito however is just good and the paleo bowl temperature and consistency leaves a great deal to be desired. I was expecting a hearty breakfast bowl and instead got a few soggy plantains floating in what looked like soup. Weird, but definitely not in a good way. read more

As others have said, the Central Market is a welcome addition to Denver. Etai's has the best bread and sweets in town - in my opinion. And the gals at the counter could not be nicer. I have had the scones, the muffins, the croissants and the cranberry walnut bread. All a 10! Baking in the Mile Hi city is tricky - but these folks have it down! And the pies they made for Thanksgiving - apple and pumpkin were totally awesome! Make more pies!!! A real treat for anyone who likes yummy pastries! Highly recommended!!! read more

My experience at the Denver central market was phenomenal, it reminded me of the markets I grew up with that we all miss and love. All of the different smells and friendly faces lead you wandering around wanting to see everything. Really excited to check this place out on opening day! It reminds me of Eataly in NY or Chicago but on a smaller scale. It has 11 different vendors so this is a great spot to come to when everyone wants something different to eat. The place was packed but we received attentive and quick service everywhere we went. Coffee from Crema, which I love. The pastries at Izzio looked and smelled divine...I'll be back for you! We tried a margarita pizza from Vero Italian and everyone liked the fresh tomato sauce and thin crust lightly charred in the onsite pizza oven. The meatball sandwich from The Local Butcher Shop was tasty and served on a crusty baguette. Picked up some cheeses and marcona almonds from Cultured Meat + Cheese which I can't wait to try and of course, I couldn't resist the pumpkin pie ice cream from High Point Creamery :) A fair amount of seating by the Curio Cocktail Bar and also a few table outside. I couldn't help but eye all the other plates around me - a lot of things to come back and try next time. Family friendly spot but it was a little loud in there.
