We were visiting Ithaca for a long weekend from Long Island and looking for a quick dinner and they did NOT disappoint! We got a half cheese half meatball pizza. The sauce was just enough, the cheese is generally applied and the meatball slices are ample & thicc. Definitely check out ETAPie! Love this place. Great pizza and great service. The crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings all taste good. The people that work there are cool and friendly and understand customer service, which is largely missing at many places in Ithaca. Just love this place. Best pizza in Ithaca. Spent the day on Cayuga Lake and on the way home we ordered a medium veggie pizza. To say they loaded it with onions, mushrooms and green peppers is an understatement. They offered me lots of different options regarding the three toppings I was adding to the base. I chose sautéed mushrooms, sliced sweet Vidalia onions and green peppers. The base is their delicious crust topped with red sauce and mozzarella cheese. Yes, occasionally I have some pizza with cheese but not often. This is a place where I occasionally splurge and eat off plan. If you like pizza you will love this pizza. This pizza does not disappoint. I tend to prefer traditional NYC style, but the creativity and execution of these out-of-the-box pies is wonderful. Oh. My. Good. GOD. To say this place is an unassuming gem is the understatement of the century. As someone with celiac, I absolutely loathe the process of going through yelp with the keywords "gluten free" and finding place after place that has maybe one or two options, if any at all. Enter ETA Pie. SUPER gluten free friendly menu! I was able to build my own pizza, which was made right in front of us, and the toppings I requested were so generously portioned that they were falling off each slice!! My husband got the Buffalo Chicken personal pizza for himself which he gave an enthusiastic three thumbs up (borrowed one of mine), and then we shared a single order of their Traditional Buffalo wings. We're here for the weekend visiting from Buffalo, after all! Now I'm risking having my Buffalonian card revoked by saying this, but the truth is the truth. ETA Pie's Buffalo wings (with the milder medium sauce) are better than any wings that we have ever had living in Buffalo our entire lives. There. I said it. I ordered a 1 topping 14 inch pizza last night with garlic sauce and goat cheese and it smelled amazing on my way home! The lady behind the counter was very nice and pleasant to talk to. I was a little disappointed when I got home to see that my 1 topping (mushroom) pizza had a couple pieces of meat on it. In not a vegetarian anymore so I was able to pick them off and eat it normally but if I was served this pizza 2 years ago I would not have been able to consume it. This leaves me worried about how seriously food safety is taken at ETA PIE. Their Create Your Own option is SUCH a good deal and they do NOT skimp on the toppings! We started simple with the Napoli (basically a margherita) and it was not at all disappointing!! Nice chunky-but-light tomato-basil-infused sauce, just right amount of fresh mozz on a tender-but-sturdy and near-perfect neapolitan-style crust. It was perfectly balanced. Could use some parchment in the box to prevent sticking and the ordering site didn't work on our iPhone...(Minor issues.) Another excellent pizza choice in the West End! I'm a pizza snob. I worked at a very good pizza place in high school, the old guys taught me a lot, and I am critical of most pizzas. I am usually a traditionalist, but I will try funky pizzas from time to time. Caveat: if you do a funky pizza, you better spike the landing. I am always stunned by how many pizza places can't even make a C-average pie. You'd think we ironed out this basic technology decades ago. All that being said, this place is A+. Fantastic! High quality ingredients to start with. I had the Juarez, which was funky (no red sauce, but had habanero pineapple sauce instead - I was concerned going in, but the kid behind the counter said it was his favorite, so I threw the dice). A week ago if you tell me that there is a wonderful restaurant in Ithaca that I wasn't aware of I wouldn't believe it. Eta Pie is a secret treasure place that opened 2 years ago. Because it was a little far from downtown and I didn't have a vehicle, I never noticed it. After getting a haircut at Ace today around 4:30pm, I was looking at google map when I saw a pizza place with rating of 4.9! I said to myself that I have to try it. The experience definitely worth it. Small but nice store with excellent service and very special pizzas! I had a pizza with spinach, mushrooms, eggplant, and red sauce. It tasted a lot like pizza with additional stir fried spinach. I am sure Chinese would love it. I was also surprised that they offer delivery options on DoorDash and Grubhub. read more

We tried a pizza from ETA pie last evening. It was far and away the best pizza i have had in Ithaca since moving here 30 years ago. We ordered a pizza loaded with Marzano tomatoes, Italian sausage, banana peppers, Italian sausage -- crazy combo, I know, but our favorite. They got the proportions of all ingredients correct and it was delicious and the crust was perfect. We will certainly be back again, especially since it's on our way home from work. We ordered 3 medium pizzas, the glouster, the Vallarta, and the sauverne. Amazing, great crust and overloaded toppings. My favorite was the sauverne, which was ooey gooey cheesy decadence. The vallarta is what we'd say is medium spicy level, it builds really nicely without being too spicy. The only note we could possibly come up with is that if you want the toppings to really shine you might want to consider asking for the cheese to be half of what it is. Me personally I loved how gooey it was so I wouldn't change it. read more
