We ordered queso for an appetizer, then 4 dishes (4 people). 3 of the dishes arrived at a reasonable time, but the 4th was not delivered. After 5 minutes we inquired about the 4th dinner. Again, after 5 more minutes we asked again. Another 5 minutes we found a "manager", who went back to the kitchen to inquire about the food. A full 10 minutes after that, the 4th plate arrived. 2 of us had already finished our plates. Excuses were: waitress was training, didn't understand the order. Kitchen didn't receive the order. Only one of us received a drink refill (after asking), the other 3 of us never received a drink refill. "Manager" was slow to come to our table to address any issue. We waited another 15 minutes then asked for the check. This is the first time in about 6 months that we have returned to this location. Usually the food is about a 7 out of 10, tonight the food was about a 6 out of 10. And the last dish (carne guisada) was awful. My son took a few bites and said it was not edible. I tried it and agreed. They took it off the bill. Probably won't return for a while (if we run out of other local options). In general we dine out 2-3 times per week (lunch or dinner).

Our waitress was wonderful. She was accommodating, communicative, and professional throughout the evening. The food was tasty and well presented, and overall the group seemed happy with their selections. I ordered the bolognese. It was not the best I have had, but it also did not feel like a standout dish on the menu. I would be open to trying other options next time. Overall, we had a positive experience and would return. They have this ceiling fans open that I don't know what's the reason behind opening it when the weather is so cold. And who puts string lights close to a ceiling fan??? It was a nightmare for me and my family members.. the ceiling fan and all the outdoor dining is a big safety concern! The ceiling fan got broken after it hit the string lights and one of the propellers broke and suddenly flew to my face, luckily I saw it and just turned around but still hit my neck to shoulder area. It was a huge, thick fan propeller and I don't think people will understand this if you didn't experience or saw it in person. Everybody was in shock and panicky because no one is turning off that ceiling fan even if it was still broken and hit ME on my neck! My family had to shout a few times just so everyone is aware to turn off the ceiling fan! Compensated all of our food but it will but our life will never be the same again.. the trauma you this restaurant caused us! And I think the staff wasn't really fully trained to execute an emergency because they don't even know what to do and at the end they just offered me free wine and the calling card of who ever we need to talk incase we have future claims with them. Other than that, one of the staff members were a little bit nosy and staring at us and giving us that annoying look! And that's unacceptable and inappropriate. To conclude this, someone needs to be liable.. definitely not coming back to any restaurants named after this company in future. Luckily, the food and server was good but still not a solution to a horrible accident that could have been prevented by the staff or maintenance. Safety of customers is the top priority but they have ZERO of that yesterday! Thank God for the EMT and for my family who took care of me.

When I then asked if I could please have a knife (I'm seven months pregnant, for context), she started to walk to get one, took two steps, turned back and said "you can go get it yourself". It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive, especially given how quiet the café was at the time. We stayed for a while after and watched her standing by the counter organizing utensils, so it wasn't a matter of being too busy. We really like this place and will continue coming back, but this interaction stood out in a negative way and didn't reflect the level of service we've experienced before.

The salad bar is always fully stocked and clean. Since I work close by (8 minutes) I tend to eat at Jason's 2-3 times per week for the last 4 1/2 years. I've gotten to know several of the employees. They are all nice and friendly. I see Asst. Mgr. Carlton working the register, the food line, delivering food to the customers, and cleaning the tables. It's unusual to see a member of management to all of those tasks. David keeps the Drive-Thru hopping. I never see a line building up. When it's slow he will take for a front register or delivers food to the tables. Rommel and Lu are the masters of the food line. They are in a constant hustle to get the food made and out. Jarod is in continuous motion with taking orders, on the food line, or running dishes to the tables. They Yasmine keeps the salad bar super clean and stocked. She always has a friendly greeting and smile for me. The rest of the staff are friendly and always in motion. This crew seems to be a well oiled machine. The food is super fresh and served quickly. Jason's Deli is definitely on "My Keepers List".
