service here sucks. the girl that attended us had very little interaction with our table, and they appeared to be running around serving other customers although there was plenty of tables open. she messed up on a breakfast burrito, the drinks here are super watered down, food is mediocre but if you dont know better i dont blame you. we didnt get utensils until after we got our food approx 35 minutes after ordering. i didnt even want to tip but i felt bad for the waitress. people give this place praise but we wont be coming here again. theres better choices for far less money. read more

This is by far my favorite Mexican food restaurant, it's a bit of a drive to get to because I don't live in Fallbrook, but it is worth the drive. I really enjoy the puffy chips and the really fresh ingredients. I went to the previous establishment they ran at the other location and although my friends raved about the place, I thought it was just okay. When my boyfriend brought food back from the new Estrella's I was apprehensive, because I remembered how the food was before. When I tried the food he brought it was phenomenal, the fresh ingredients, the lack of excessive grease and the chips and salsa were awesome. I seriously crave their food now! Plus, now every time a family member comes from out of state, I make sure to take them here because it's the best out there. Great meal, with good quality, good portions and not expensive. read more

Best Mexican food in Fallbrook by far! I had rolled tacos and I know that those are pretty hard to mess up, but the guacamole and pico that were served on top of them were excellent. Husband had a tamale and an enchilada and both were amazing. Filled with lots of meat and the portions are huge. Estrella's brings both flour tortilla and corn tortilla chips with the salsa. This place has the best Mexican Food in Fallbrook! The staff are all family members and take great care of the patrons. My family and I go there whenever we get the hankering for good food and drinks as well as to talk to the owners and other people we know there. It's a very cozy place and has limited seating but is worth the wait as it get crowded sometimes. I especially love the Flauta's, Carnita's, Beans and Chips but occasionally try something different which never disappoints! read more

My family is considered regulars here, to the point that the bartenders and ownership know my uncles margarita order. They have a great selection of craft beer, and the food is amazing. Always a great experience. The only hard part is that you'll want to get there early because it is always a packed house. Well worth the wait though. Every single visit I've had with Estrella's the food just doesn't cease to make my tastebuds get excited. The flavors are just so intense and so AUTHENTIC! I grew up eating Mexican food from my mom to my aunts and my grandmother and I'm talking about REAL MEXICAN food. This has been the ONLY restaurant that I've been to so far that the food is actually authentic real Mexican food. Nothing but great things about this restaurant in regards to the food. I never was a Mexican food lover...until now! Being from NJ, there was not much opportunity to eat this type of food there so we never took advantage. So when Estrella's moved from Bonsall to Fallbrook, I was quite intrigued by the lines of people out the door. Now I know why. Everything I have ordered has been excellent. I love, love the flour chips with the salsa, and the chicken fajitas has become my new favorite. So bright, colorful and flavorful. MUST READ!! I've never felt the need to leave a review for a place but I've never had an experience like this with an employee, seconds after going into the restroom and locking the door an employee or manager with black short hair came to the door trying to open it I said it was busy and I heard him cussing outside the door at me, after about 3 minutes I was finished and before I could wash my hands the door was shook again trying to jimmy the handle to open it after one of the other employees yelled someone's in there he started cussing again and telling me to hurry the f up, shaking the door handle again to try and get in, after leaving the bathroom and having to push past him he cussed me out as I remained quiet to grab my wife and leave as I left the female waitresses apologized for him but it took everything I had to not kick the door in to the bathroom as he did to me. After waiting in the parking lot for 10 minutes my wife convinced me to leave and not get into an altercation. But I could've been a woman in that restroom or my wife with a man trying to Jimmy the door open and I don't accept that never returning here unless the employee is removed. Waitresses were the best and food was great but to avoid going to jail I'm going to look towards other options for food. read more

Background story is that the state demolished the previous location to expand HWY 76. Glad they did.
