Literally one of the best Mexican food I have ever had in my 45 years life. When stepping in the restaurant, I was not even hungry at all. They first started the show by putting one of the best delishes salsa front of me, rich taste coming from real organic tomatoes, produced locally, then chips fresh from the kitchen still hot! Then we ordered fajitas, it came in a regular plate instead of iron cast platters, don't worry! I prefer my fajitas this much delicious in a regular plate instead of pricy restaurant's sizzling but plastic ingredients and over priced fajitas ... I say I wish I lived in the town.... Poor us, we don't get this quality Mexican food even at the restaurants like Javier or El Matador in OC! Real but real Mexican food is here! read more

You could tell the tortilla chips were freshly made, overall the food was delicious. Price point was affordable especially for the big portions you get, you're almost guaranteed to take home leftovers! Tables are very limited as it is a smaller place so order a chamoy margarita at the bar while you wait. Good spot for a date night. read more

I love Estrella's! They have the best margaritas. Their margaritas have set the bar high for any other place. I have yet to go to a place with as good or margaritas. I usually go for the classic house margarita but they do have other options that are really good as well. When seated they bring you a basket of fresh chips and salsa. The basket of chips is a mixture of flour and corn tortilla chips, I have never seen thy before and they are delicious. The salsa is mild but you can request a spicier one if desired. The food is really good as well. I usually get a bean and cheese burrito with rice because I don't eat meat and my boyfriend likes to get a California burrito with shrimp. I have also had a wet burritos, fish taco, and a shrimp burrito. All of the food is really good, haven't tried a thing that I didn't like. read more

Best margaritas ever! I would say on par with Las Olas in Carlsbad. We also hired Estrella's to cater my sister's wedding at our place...the guys that came were so chill and funny. This is by far our favorite Mexican restaurant. My husband and I eat here on our anniversary every year. We live about an hour away but for 8 years it's been our tradition and so worth it. The chips are salsa are the best we've ever had and the entrees are delicious. We've never had a bad experience with the food. The service could be a bit faster considering the restaurant is on the smaller scale. Definitely worth a try! read more

Friends and I went a few weeks back. For the first time at a restaurant, I ordered an enchilada, yum! The three of us each ordered a margarita, all of which were delicious. I know mostly due to one friend drinking less than half of a medium sized one and having me finish. They had a chili mango margarita which I highly recommend. While the venue is small and there can be a wait in the later evening, it was delicious! I look forward to returning. read more

Favorite Mexican food in all of San Diego. We drive from San Marcos to enjoy their food. Salsa is chunky and excellent served with flour and corn tortilla chips. Family owned, great service. Great salsas, yes they have a hotter one so be sure to ask. They give you both corn and flour chips which is a nice change. Carnitas plate was excellent, it wasn't fatty at all which surprised me. The BEST Mexican food I've ever had! When I say Mexican food I mean REAL Mexican food, not your bland Americanized kind of Mexican food. Every time I come to eat here, I'm never disappointed. I had just finished a job and I was starving! Not knowing where to eat in Fallbrook I turned to Yelp. At first it was hard to find a place to park but I took that as a good sign. Right after I sat down they brought me homemade chips and salsa...so good! I ordered a carne asada burrito and could barely finish it, but since it was so good I ate all of it. Amazing food and drinks! I am a picky eater, but I will eat here anytime!! If you are in the mood for some great Mexican food, this is the place! It is a family owned business, and the staff is very friendly! They have free wifi, you just have to ask for a password. The chips are AMAZING!!! I bring all my friends here. It isn't the best place for a big group as it can be crowded, but it is fun for a small group of friends. It is super family friendly and I love going with my family. Really great food here. We have been here numerous times and never had a bad meal. I love the flour chips and salsa. The chipotle steak quesadilla is delicious and huge. I ordered it thinking it would be like an appetizer and an entree too. I ate so much my back hurt. Ever since then I just get the quesadilla. Best Carnitas burritos ever!! I grew up in Montebello/East LA where we had "real" Mexican food, not the gringo style most places serve these days....but Estrellas gives you traditional Mexican with quality.
