I'm just down the street and I do delivery... Customer has been waiting for 25-30 minutes for the pick up.. they said it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. When I came to the door at the same time is another gentleman. The guy went in left me standing took a menu to him let him stand there and look and ask questions about the menu. And when he was busy looking I said to the guy at the door, "I'm just here to pick up somebody's order." It was supposed to be ready in 15 minutes so it's probably an easy pick up I have cash and I handed him the money! He said, if you could just wait afew minutes.. let me help this guy so I stood there for 10 minutes while the guy looked at the menu and after asking several questions from the menu, He asked if he can I just come inside!? ‍ Really??? That was just so very Rude! I will not come back here to eat here nor well I pick up and deliver food from here again, I have three other customers waiting! I used to come every week with friends & family! It is actually 7 PM and no one else was in line! read more

This was a terrible experience. We were fooled by the long lines we had seen so we went early only to discover the hostess was artificially delaying patrons so a line would be created. The tables were rickety and the place smelled of stale beer. The food was average at best. Don't waste your time on this difficult and creepy establishment. read more

Service was pretty good! It was nice to have them anticipate what we would need - haven't had that in awhile at a restaurant. Cute little patio, albeit a bit noisy due to location. Plenty of parking. The food was so-so. We ordered the red kid's enchilada, mixed fajitas (steak and chicken), and green chicken Encinas. I will say the portions are very generous. The fajitas are enough for 2 people, maybe even 3 people who eat smaller portions. The meats were tender but lacking in flavor. Red enchilada sauce was like "entomatadas" which was okay, but salty. Green enchiladas were too acidic. Overall, ALL of our meals were very salty. I would return but for margaritas and chips/salsa, and the service - not the food. Parents: there is a clean baby changing station in the restroom! Thankful for that! Restrooms are clean! read more

Great place! Get here early when they have a live band on Saturdays! My favorite thing to order here are the steaks! Great atmosphere and the owners & management team is always "hands on" working with their staff. Where do I start.. The staff is Amazing. If you're looking for pure flavor, organic ingredients and a family environment. You won't regret it. Best guacamole you will ever taste. The value and quality of food you get for the dollar is close to unmatched in Southern California. The food was outstanding, service both friendly and prompt, and you can chose to eat inside, or outside on a well shaded patio.

Waitress was extremely rude, i asked for a different hot sauce then the non spicy one they gave me. My order was 2 chimichangas plates and they gave me 2 small salsa containers. When I asked for a spicier salsa she gave me attitude and said they we all out. I asked for green one and she said it was xtra change. Its hard to support local restaurants when they act this rude and give you salsa for 1 taco. WILL DEFT NEVER BE COMING BACK HE AND WILL SHARE MY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. This is still the best Mexican restaurant in Fallbrook - the staff is fantastic, the food is to die for - the Salsa Verde is absolutely the best I've ever had!!! I really don't like giving bad reviews but this place was so disappointing! Beginning with not acknowledging me while I waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for about ten minutes while employees walked to and from while deliberately avoiding eye contact, and ending with having to go find someone to get our bill I was disappointed. The food was awful, the drink glasses were dirty and the only redeeming quality was our clearly overwhelmed servers kindness. He was literally the only enjoyable thing about our visit. We won't be back but we hope things improve there. read more

Absolutely ridiculous service. We show up to eat and the hostess had no desire to have us dine and states it's a 30 min wait. We decided to order take out, but it took her almost 30 minutes to come back to take our order so we decided to stay and eat since we waited. People leaving all walking out without masks ( I could care less) until they wouldn't let us be seated because my daughter didn't have a mask. I asked if they had extra, Ofcourse not. Double standard much. So sad. Please look into your service and treat everyone the same. read more

Tortillas are hard and dry. I tried three taco meats. Chicken taco, carnitas taco and carne asada. Chicken was dry, the carnitas had no flavor and the Carne asada was also dry and bland. 18% gratuity was also already built in the check. I'm very disappointed with this place. We were super excited to try this place, but when we got there we stood at the host stand about 10 minutes before anyone "greeted" us. When they finally came out, the man who spoke to us was cold and not friendly whatsoever. He didn't even look at us. We were not happy with how we were greeted so we left. Had the shrimp quesadilla, it was very flavorful and full of shrimp. I have never had one before and I would totally eat one again. It reminded me of fajitas. The quesadilla was a little messy because of the sauce but not a deal breaker. Their chips and salsa are some of the best around with a mix of flower and tortilla chips. So so good. read more

We are new to the fallbrook area and this is our favorite Mexican restaurant so far! The staff has all been so nice and welcoming. It was also very clean and nice for such a small building. The paper place mats were probably the only thing that wasn't up to my standards but that's just me being picky. We really love Casa Estrella so we decided to try their other location in town, but we were disappointed. It was busy so we chose the patio, and the constant LOUD traffic just feet from where you're sitting is not what I'd call a relaxing environment. We ordered and I was really looking forward to trying their version of the California burrito - 10 minutes later I was told "we're out of carne asada". I ordered a bean, rice, and cheese burrito instead but it was a big sloppy mess and I quit after eating 1/2 of it. My lady's dinner wasn't much better - bland tomato sauce used instead of the usual zesty enchilada sauce, and a beef taco served in a "made in house" shell which looked and tasted like the usual boxed shells you'd find at your local supermarket. The waitress was notified that our meal was less than desirable, but she made no effort to remedy the situation. Someone in management should have at least popped by at that point. When I realized nobody was going to come by I requested our bill, paid it, and tipped her well. I very much doubt we'll be back. read more

This might be the one Mexican place where the to go food is better than the eating in food. Last time I ordered here, I got a quesadilla and shrimp fajitas to go. It was so delicious, fresh, and large portions. We dined in, the other night. I got the chicken quesadilla, and it was barely filled, with about an 8th a scoop of sour cream, and no where near enough guac and salsa. I asked for more salsa, which was reluctantly brought to me after about 15 minutes. The tortillas were quite dry. So disappointed. My friend got a burrito that had about 10 lbs of wrapper. And maybe an ounce of filling. The service was just terrible. The margarita tasted like hummingbird food. Way too sweet. I do not recommend. read more

My favorite Mexican spot in north county San Diego. Their margaritas are killer and they have the best chips and salsa EVER! You can expect a wait, but it is so worth it.
