Tucked away like a hidden gem, this place has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to slow down, enjoy life, and order one more cup of coffee just because. The coffee was absolutely fantastic, the vibes were perfect, and the hospitality was something you don't find every day anymore. A special thank you to Mr. Charles and the boss lady Shannon for making us feel so welcome. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Great coffee, great people, and the kind of place that reminds you that small-town charm is still alive and well. We came in as travelers and left feeling like friends. If you're anywhere near Fallbrook, do yourself a favor and stop by. We planned on a quick coffee break and ended up making one of our favorite honeymoon memories. 10 stars from us. This place has been our go to Mexican food since it opened. However... I believe the management is slipping a bit since the 2nd location opened. On a Saturday night.... the restaurant was half full. We were seated quickly... but... it took 15 mins before we were given chips and salsa...at the 25 min mark they took our drink orders...and at the 30 min mark the food orders were taken. I feel that the management has let the service slip a bit since the main restaurant has opened... thier not paying attention to what's happening at the smaller venue. The food is great... the staff is nice and friendly... but the timing of service is needs serious attention... watching the bartender play on her phone for 10 mins before she pours the drinks also didn't help this evenings visit. I will continue to go there and support the restaurant... I just hope that management reads the reviews and take the appropriate steps to speed up the service. 30 mins from the time your seated to get a drink and food order in is way too long... especially if you only have an hour to go eat. read more

If you are looking for delicious and authentic mexican food, this is not the place you are looking for. Sadly, Robertito's surpasses this place by far. Not to mention the management is less educated than the typical high school student, they believe they are a 5 star restaurant simply because of their ratings on yelp... can you say retarded? The management made me never want to visit again, I ordered a carne asada burrito with no tortilla for take out, instead they gave me a carne asada plate. When I got home I called back to ask for them to give me what I ordered, the manager resulted to arguing with me over the phone and refused to refund me the money. If I wanted what I truly ordered I had to pay for both plates. OUTRAGEOUS!!! I would eat there if they had the same management as in their Bonsall location. read more

Hey this place is pretty cool. Start off with some margaritas. The have a zillion different flavors but I've tried the mango. There is a beer that comes in a foot long glass- thats pretty rad and all my bros love it. On the downside there always seems to be wait but its usually not too long. I guess its better to have to wait for good food than be seated at an empty place with bad food. The favorite in my family are the carnitas and chille relleno. We loved them so much that we used them to cater for our barn wedding. The chips may be the best thing. It's Friday 9:30 pm, Estella's closes at 10 pm.. We were refused a to-go order due to they running out of food. I requested the manager, yet received a giggly girl who labeled herself as she worded it, "sort of a supervisor." She stated they were, "super busy and ran out of food and they are now prepping for tomorrow's service." Maybe Estrellas should not have expanded their business, seeing they can not keep up with the demands of their clients. Not to mention on our previous visits, their bartenders drink behind the bar and are not shy about it. They just smile and say, "sorry, we've had a bad night" - then take their shots. Went there for the first time last week. The flour chips were good but greasy. The guy bringing the drinks had no personality...no smile...the Margerita was bland. My friend ordered an enchilada and said the sauce tasted like tomato soup. I ordered the chile relleno..the sauce was very bland - like a can of plain tomato sauce. Everything is very bland. I could eat only a third of the chile because it was very hard. When the waitress finally came back to check on us, I told her about the hard chile and that I couldn't eat it. Estrella's always dishes up a good meal. Whether you want a huge platter of food or a more affordable and reasonably sized a la carte item to eat at home with a healthy salad, it's good. You can also get a take-home alcoholic drink. The full meals tend to last me three dinners, partly because I eat them with fresh fruit and salad at home. If you eat in, you can probably split one with another person unless you're both very hungry. I'd rather order by phone and pick up than wait during the busy times, but that's a personal preference. read more

While we cook most of our own food, we occasionally pick up restaurant food and share a dish, supplementing with a fresh salad and fruit at home. Estrella's dishes are delicious, and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend. We have not tried their drinks, but we hear they are very good. The safest way to enjoy any restaurant food during the pandemic is to pick it up by curbside pickup, transfer it to your own dishes, and discard the packaging, washing hands before eating. The Estrella's observatory can be easily reach from Vermont Ave in northbound direction, then uphill from Greek Theatre and Griffith Park. The observatory has been renovated few years ago, and a great exposition about space was added. You have great views over CA and at clear nights you can even have a look in the observatory telescope. One meal can be pretty big, so we order one meal for every two adults and eat our own salad from home on the side if anyone wants more.
