Both inside and outside seating is very nice. Inside its very traditional and cosy andalusian style. The food is tapas. Very delicious food and served very appetizing. Efficient and freindly staff. The best restaurant experiance we had in Sevilla. I can warmly recommend this restaurant.

Meh, this was right in front of me while walking back to my more centrally located hotel. It was almost empty, and I was hungry, so I went in based on the yelp reviews. The bulls on the wall give that authentic feel we tourists like, and the English menu made it easy to order. I tried the first three items listed as specialties - cod, eggplant and a fish pate. The first two were disappointments. Pate was pretty good.

Great wine and tapas. Loved the decorations. Great service. The bulls on the walls were so cool. Lots of praise for the tradition of Bull fighting.

Service was quick and servers knew English plus they were good looking! The grilled squid and crispy eggplant with creamy tomato sauce and prawns were EXCELLENT! Also, one of the servers noticed, a drunk person came in and almost fell on top of me. He made sure I was okay and that I safely walked out to the street. So sweet! Thank you for the experience!

This place had great tapas! It was the first place I went to in Seville! Had the salmorejo which I didn't like. I had a egg with French fries which was good. I had fried (which everything is in Spain ) goat cheese on a Crostini with an amazing sauce! I had the jamón and the manchego which is one of my favorite tapas. The stuffed zucchini was also very good! Love the pisto with the fried egg on top ! The fried cod was good also. My favorite was the sweet fried eggplant which tasted like French toast sticks! Which I didn't expect at all! Overall this was a solid tapas place! Don't forget to check out my profile!

On our first night in Seville, we walked out of our flat and checked out a few places I'd bookmarked in one area. We were both exhausted and pretty hungry, and so wanted somewhere that definitely had a couple of vegetarian options, and that we could manage with particularly crappy tourist Spanish. The first four places we tried didn't work out, either too full or nothing I could eat on the menu. Estrella was busy but not rammed, and it was actually warm enough to eat outside with coats on, which felt like a real treat in January! Service was fairly quick and no problems communicating, and they have English menus (also other languages, I saw a German version, so who knows what other options there are). This is traditional style tapas, and I liked the garbanzo and spinach dish, and fried goat's cheese. The omnivore I ate with enjoyed pork cheeks and a few other meaty bits, and he said they were better than the veggie options. It was tasty, but it was also really heavy and pretty oily. It was totally fine for one meal, but it did put us onto the track of finding more modern tapas that was a bit more about fresh foods, which was a helpful lesson.

    Eggplant and whiskey sirloin

Great authentic tapas recommended by our Airbnb host and multiple blogs online. We had to wait in the door way for about 30 minutes around 8:30- it's was bustling! But as soon as a table opened up they sat us down. We would recommend the whiskey sirloin, Iberian steak, fried eggplant, chicken brochette- but so many delicious options came flying out to tables around us. It is helpful to try to make eye contact with running servers if you need to order more as they are busy going to and from the kitchen with tapas. Great atmosphere and delicious tapas. We got 4 tapas, bread, wine and beer for all around 23 Euros- and both my husband and I were full.

Nice dinner. Recommended by Bonifacio, our hotel concierge. Walked by it earlier since it's off the beaten track. Got a table inside with nice AC Ordered the house red wine - nice Ordered tapas: Grilled squid Stuffed mushrooms Lamb skewers Fried eggplant and shrimp Bacalao Fried camembert cheese Bread came with the tapas (Check out my photos) Nice decor inside with bulls along the walls It all came to almost 40 Euro Nice evening dinner in Seville

This place a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Loved their grilled squid and stuffed mushrooms. The fried fish platter was just okay as it needed a bit more seasoning.

Know in advance there are two options, if you want to eat here …read more.. 1. Book a table online ... There is a cancellation policy, so you will need to put down a credit card and around 15 Euro per person to hold the time/date. You will have access to a sit-down table and a waiter and full-plated menu and fancy tapas. VERY IMPORTANT ... Know by sitting at a table with a reservation, you will pay 3 - 5 times the price for the same tapas on the bar side! 2. Show up and get a seat in the bar area for tapas. This is first come, first serve and there was a line of around 5 people when the restaurant opened at 1 p.m. It probably wouldn't be a problem getting a bar area or table if you show up 15 - 20 minute earlier. Otherwise it's a free for all. We would have preferred the bar side and less money ... however, we had a little one in a stroller so we didn't want to jockey for a spot. Had we known showing up a little early at the opening time was so easy, we'd have done that. The waiters are all older in the restaurant side and act pretentious ... as fine dining waiters do. They have little patience ... aren't very friendly ... and are very brusque. They act like they are you doing a favor by waiting on you. Also, be prepared to speak Spanish. The food here is good to average. It's expensive (on the fine dining side) I would imagine the food is the same quality ... just smaller portions on the bar side. We didn't try it. On the sit-down side, things get pricey and you have to order larger portions. We ordered: - Iberico Ham ... 20 Euros. They brought a big plate. There was no smaller order. It was very good. Not the best that we had but better than anything you'd get in the US. - Croquettes ... 12 Euro. Another big order size with no smaller available. These were the best Croquettes we had in Seville. Fried perfectly with a very loose and cheesy filling. Almost like a breadless grilled cheese sandwich. - Cuttle Fish ... 12 Euro. This was pretty bad. It was like eating giant strips of rubber with no taste. Way too chewy and hardly any batter. It was served with no nipping sauce and was like eating a basket of small tires. - Creamed Spinach ... I have never tasted anything like this. It was like eating spinach blended with cream with church insence mixed it. I'd imagine a basket of poppuri soaked in salt water would taste similar. It was not great, although very unique. For 8 Euro, a big pass. - Cheesecake ... Not great. Tasted like a square of sweet cheesecake with strawberry jelly on top. I can't imagine you couldn't find something similar in a supermarket for much cheaper than the 6 Euro price. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. It was immaculately clean inside and it didn't really look as ancient as you'd expect. It looked like a Spanish restaurant you'd expect. However the food was pretty average compared to other restaurants in Spain. We saw the table next to us both got steak and left it about 3/4 eaten, so it couldn't have been fantastic as they didn't look like the GLP1 type. This is one you must hit in Seville, just because it's so famous. It's on a cute street. However, don't expect it to be the best food you try in Seville and if you can do the tapas bar side, you'll probably have a better experience than in the formal dining room area.

There was a show going on when we arrived around 10:50, so the main entrance was closed off, but we went through the side entrance and ordered drinks at the bar. I got a small glass of the orange wine, since I heard that was the specialty in Sevilla and wanted to try it. It was a sweeter wine but had a slightly bitter after taste. There were already a lot of people there, so it was a bit hard for us to see the performance, but from what I could see, it was really good. When it finally ended around 11, the lights came on. My friend and I didn't want to wait around for the next performance, so we finished our drinks and left. They also have plenty of seating outdoors in the courtyard, so if you want to just grab a drink but not watch the show, you can always sit outside and chat.

Where do I begin? Let's talk about the ambience. To call this place rustic would probably capture…read moreit best, it's really probably more like a cafeteria or a school room at a very old school. Tables perhaps a bit close together, not terribly comfortable. Loud, busy. As far as the service, it was our impression that our waiter was the only person serving the 30 or so tables in their dining room. Suffice it to say the service was not fast and not good. Inexplicably, every time we ordered a Coke we were asked if we wanted a Coke Zero. If I wanted a Coke Zero I would have said the words Coke Zero. Even when I asked for another Coke, he again asked "Coke Zero?" It took next to forever to get the check, and forever to get a cappuccino. At one point I took it upon myself to point the waiter to a table behind us that had been desperately attempting to get his attention. This was all not good. As to the food. First, our fault for not knowing what tataki meant. We did not expect to receive salmon that was seared on the outside and raw on the inside. So that one is on us, although we also think the meal came tepid at best. The lamb on couscous was dry and tough. The pork cheek stew was actually pretty good if a bit gluey. The calamari was good. The sushi as they called it was average. What they called the tiramisu was more like a pudding with some liqueur and chocolate on the top, and a little bit of breadish stuff in the bottom. Not my idea of tiramisu, and probably not yours either. So we could not get too excited about these various dishes. But what was particularly frustrating and bizarre was that two people sitting across from us ordered food that looked absolutely delicious. So we got to sit there wondering why we didn't order what they ordered. They ordered a large beef dish with potatoes which is on the menu, and we think they ordered a large octopus meal although we are not sure. Everything they had looked better than anything we had. So it may be that we somehow just picked the wrong items. So it was a strangely frustrating meal. This place has good reviews and we expected good tasting food. Unfortunately it did not work out that way, and the ambience and service were negative contributing factors. I can't entirely write this place off, only because the food other diners received actually looked very good. But I don't think I would go there again.

We ordered their roasted lamb with cous cous, garlic shrimp croquetta (that was the croquetta of the day), pork cheek stew with potato purée and the chocolate panna cotta for dessert. We devoured every bite and it was hard to pick a favorite. Both the lamb and pork dishes were 11/10. Not just the taste but the presentation of every tapa was fantastic. Their drinks were also great. The dessert was to die for. This place is super packed during peak dinner hours and there is barely any room to stand. Since we walked in around 11pm, we got a seat and were well taken care of all thru the night. Also noticed alot of veggie options on the menu which was great. Service was awesome ambience is chic. I am certain I am going to crave their tapas once I am back home. Highly highly recommend this place when in Seville.
