But it seems the company is under new ownership. My more recent job with them was subpar. When I reached out to them, they tried to blame me for misusing the item. The item was a diner booth bench. I was sitting on it! How could I misuse it?! Eventually they agreed to pick up and fix it but not before I had to fight with them to do so. Everyone makes mistakes. It's how you deal with them that makes all the difference. If they had simply apologized and fixed their mistake, I wouldn't have to be writing this bad review.

Hector did a great and professional job of replacing the old and worn out seat cushions in our Castro convertible loveseat. My wife and and I were impressed by the attention to detail that Hector gave to the project, as well as his amiable and knowledgeable advice on the best options for the replacement cushions which would be appropriate for the loveseat. We are very happy with the end result. We would definitely use Hector again for future reupholstery projects. read more

We had 11 chairs and a couch that were reupholstered in one week and they are stunning! They replaced the seat bases for us in addition to adding piping to all the pieces. They moved all the furniture for us without asking. We are very impressed by their professionalism and hastiness. Hector is such a great guy and his work is beautiful! These guys do great work. It is kind of a dungeon of a work space, but well worth the steep walk down to the steps. I had the cushions to my four dining room chairs re-upholstered, plus they changed the straps and foam padding to higher grade ones for a exactly as much as I thought the work would go for. Very pleased with their craftmanship. read more

I cannot praise Estilo enough. Hector and Claudio were terrific to work with. Not only were they the best priced shop on the Lower East Side, they were creative and fast. The two chairs I needed reupholstered came out beautifully. read more

I would give no stars if I could they reupholstered my DSW…read moreloveseat and couch 5 years ago. it took longer then promised but looked ok. it was expensive and supposedly the fabric used was of high quantity. now 5 years latter both of the blue couches are now partially PINK. when I contacted them they said their work was only guaranteed for 6 months. Additionally they were dismissive and implied that maybe I used a cleaning product that caused the change in color. and they added that 5 years was a long time this is not the work or customer service that I would have expected.
