I was a little nervous about having my couch reupholstered without having a personal recommendation, but I read the positive reviews here and decided to move forward. I could not be more pleased with the outcome--the couch looks great, and Hector completed the project right on time. Reasoable price, excellent service, skilled work. Highly recommend! read more

Hector and his small staff are fabric wizards! Deserving of the highest praise. Not only was the craftsmanship on-point, his prices and turnaround time cannot be beat. For reference: I had a fairly delicate/complex project, a full re-work of an original Saarinen Womb Chair from the late 1940s. Museum-quality furniture. It wasn't a job that could be done by many, but Hector was confident in his appraisal of the piece and knew exactly how to handle it. So glad that I put my trust in Estilo Upholstery and will certainly return for my next "big ticket" item. read more

Hector is simply the best! He recovered a swivel chair and a leather chair for us, and both turned out great. Very easy to work with, completes the work on time, and the results are outstanding. read more

Hector and his team were professional, expert in their repair, and helped us out in a really short time frame. I was a little nervous with who to trust our magnificent, vintage 70's couch refurbishing with, but it came out INCREDIBLE and it was done in like 4 days. We were actually very close to throwing this couch out - the bottom material and springs had fallen through, leg broken off and stripped, holes in the fabric. Since we were moving in a couple days, we were super tight on time. I called all around Williamsburg and BK, but no one had availability until Hector here called me back and said they could refurbish it! He provided the contact for a really reliable, well-priced, and nice mover that picked up the couch for us. Hector was able to use the original springs and reattach the legs, they replaced some of the wooden boards underneath, two bottom seat cushions, and sewed up a few holes in the seams... it's like a brand new couch, We were so impressed. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Hector & Claudio make my life so luxurious! I needed the cushion on my fainting chair to be restored and what a wonderful job they did! Hector was able to keep the down feathers and added foam and now the cushion is a firm and tight as a drum! What a splendid job and I am thrilled the chaise lounge gives me the comfort and support I need. They finished the cushion really quickly and with the same high standard excellent craftsmanship and professionalism. I only wish I had more space to have more furniture just to have them reupholster. Ancore and Bravo! read more

Note first that in November 2017, this business moved from the Lower East Side Of Manhattan to 612 Grand St in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I have submitted two edits to Yelp and they have not updated it yet. Hector did a beautiful job reupholstering the seat cushion from my 1920s arts and crafts rocker. Great workmanship at a reasonable price. read more

These guys are the real deal. Hector is a true connoisseur. Not only was the work perfect, but Hector came to my projects with lots of ideas that made the final product that much better. They reupholstered 2 of my Eero Saarinen executive arm chairs in knoll boucle, ivory fabric. They also tackled my grandmothers lounge chair from the 50's in maharam pebble wool. Both projects were perfect and the price reasonable!! Both projects were heirloom quality and irreplaceable. Will come back! read more

Excellent work, friendly service. Hector and his team turned our battered and torn kitchen chairs into beautiful, functional pieces. They look brand new! This worked well during the quarantine - we communicated by text, dropped the chairs and fabric off outside of his shop, and picked them back up again when they were ready. "Contactless" and efficient. Hector's prices were very appropriate for the work. I will definitely be working with them again in the future. read more

Note that you should supply your own fabric but double check that with Hector - I supplied my own fabric. Also note that the work takes a while - this is not a chop shop - expect the work to take a couple of weeks. I brought in a modern danish chair that had great bones and fabric and cushioning that was past saving. I also brought in a wooden folding chair with faded and stained fabric. Hector directed me to Joe's Fabric for replacement fabrics where I got a great price on two different types of textiles. Hector had great suggestions as well and was genuinely enthusiastic about my chairs. It was so much fun. Just picked up the chairs and the end result is breathtaking beautiful. The word "artistry" comes to mind - that's how perfect their work looks. The design pattern for the folding chair was so artfully placed on the seat and the back and the danish chair looks like it could be in a museum. I'm just thrilled with the work. and the price was better than any other place I checked out. Estillo is located in a basement and there are steep steps down to their door. I am not a spring chicken so Hector and his colleague carried my two heavy chairs up and helped me to the corner as I looked for a cab to get home. I very much appreciate that. Thank you! This is old-school craftmanship and old-school customer service. I look forward to using their services again. read more

I had such a positive experience with Estillo. Hector was a pleasure to work with and went above and beyond to meet my super tight schedule. The work he did is beautiful! The chair I brought him was in terrible condition to the point where I wondered if it could be fixed. I was stunned to see the final result - and he was able to keep all of the original components. The cost was very reasonable as well. I wouldn't hesitate to use Estillo again and will definitely recommend them. read more

It's important to know that this space is in the basement and if you walk by when they're closed you would never know the business is there. Their "sign" is on the backside of a cellar door, so it can only be seen when the sidewalk cellar doors are open. I have a white Ligne Roset Togo love seat that was impossible to keep clean and decided to have a slipcover made so that I could preserve the original couch but not have to look at the dirt. I got quotes from a few different places and Estilo not only had the best price, but I live on the LES liked that I could support a local business. As they were extremely busy this summer, it took a bit longer than anticipated to get the job done, but I wasn't in a hurry. I visited the shop a number of times to check in and got to see a lot of their work, which always looked great. I could tell they take pride in what they do. The design of the slipcover is a little different than I expected but it's really well done, looks great and solves my problem. I definitely recommend them. read more

I've never written a Yelp review before, but Hector killed it so I wanted to give a shout out. His bid came in $100 cheaper than the 3 other places I checked with & he knocked it out in a day and a half. Chair turned out great. I'm v pleased. read more

Great job recovering a leather seat cushion from a 1920's arts and crafts rocking chair. These guys are total professionals. They matched up the pieces of my floral fabric so well, it was like seamless. The owners are nice, genuinely caring that you have a great result. Hector and Claudio give sound advice about your sofa and cushions. They know all about foam, fabric, etc. They are very affordable and their workmanship is perfect. As I live in a co-op, I needed a small mover with a COI (Certificate of Insurance) which I learned is difficult to find. Hearing of my problem in finding a mover, Estilo had a suggestion in JR Trucking and JR not only had the COI he was affordable, professional and nice. Estilo is close to the L train. For upholstery, I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

Love them! They *gladly* reupholstered my super fake Eames Lounge chair and ottoman for waaaay less than every quote I received from less enthusiastic upholsterers.
