Hector and his team were professional, expert in their repair, and helped us out in a really short time frame. I was a little nervous with who to trust our magnificent, vintage 70's couch refurbishing with, but it came out INCREDIBLE and it was done in like 4 days. We were actually very close to throwing this couch out - the bottom material and springs had fallen through, leg broken off and stripped, holes in the fabric. Since we were moving in a couple days, we were super tight on time. I called all around Williamsburg and BK, but no one had availability until Hector here called me back and said they could refurbish it! He provided the contact for a really reliable, well-priced, and nice mover that picked up the couch for us. Hector was able to use the original springs and reattach the legs, they replaced some of the wooden boards underneath, two bottom seat cushions, and sewed up a few holes in the seams... it's like a brand new couch, We were so impressed. Note that you should supply your own fabric but double check that with Hector - I supplied my own fabric. Also note that the work takes a while - this is not a chop shop - expect the work to take a couple of weeks. I brought in a modern danish chair that had great bones and fabric and cushioning that was past saving. I also brought in a wooden folding chair with faded and stained fabric. Hector directed me to Joe's Fabric for replacement fabrics where I got a great price on two different types of textiles. Hector had great suggestions as well and was genuinely enthusiastic about my chairs. It was so much fun. Just picked up the chairs and the end result is breathtaking beautiful. The word "artistry" comes to mind - that's how perfect their work looks. The design pattern for the folding chair was so artfully placed on the seat and the back and the danish chair looks like it could be in a museum. I'm just thrilled with the work. and the price was better than any other place I checked out. Estillo is located in a basement and there are steep steps down to their door. I am not a spring chicken so Hector and his colleague carried my two heavy chairs up and helped me to the corner as I looked for a cab to get home. I very much appreciate that. Thank you! It's important to know that this space is in the basement and if you walk by when they're closed you would never know the business is there. Their "sign" is on the backside of a cellar door, so it can only be seen when the sidewalk cellar doors are open. I have a white Ligne Roset Togo love seat that was impossible to keep clean and decided to have a slipcover made so that I could preserve the original couch but not have to look at the dirt. I got quotes from a few different places and Estilo not only had the best price, but I live on the LES liked that I could support a local business. As they were extremely busy this summer, it took a bit longer than anticipated to get the job done, but I wasn't in a hurry. I visited the shop a number of times to check in and got to see a lot of their work, which always looked great. I could tell they take pride in what they do. The design of the slipcover is a little different than I expected but it's really well done, looks great and solves my problem. I definitely recommend them. read more
