In a snapshot, where's my experience: - rushed service - no prep work at all- just began sticking stickers all over my eyes - Nothing about the materials laid out looked professional; looked very much like a DIY at-home -kit - pinched my corner eyelid with the tweezer within minutes of me laying down - that one really hurt - she worked on me in complete silence. No music or any attempt to chat (the latter of which I'm fine with, but some may be put off by it). She did turn on some music briefly for 15 minutes when the products had to settle, but every song was followed by advertisements, so not at all relaxing - was not given any follow-up care tips until I specially asked about them I would have been able to overlook some of the things above if the results came out nice, but unfortunately they didn't. Day after: - corner eyelid has a tiny area that's red and raw (and painful to touch); I'm guessing it may have been burned from chemicals used. I had mentioned the stinging during appt, but was told it's normal - right eyelid slightly swollen - eyelashes are not even; very jagged The reason I gave two stars as opposed to just one is that the technician seemed friendly enough. If you want to pamper yourself, this place is definitely not what you're looking for. Based on the other reviews, I'm assuming she just did a bad job on me as she was rushing to be somewhere else... I won't be giving this place another chance though.

Now that I am well enough to have the procedure done, I came to Joanne on the recommendation of a good friend. I didn't want to pick some random salon off the internet for something relatively permanent. At our first meeting for my free consultation, I was immediately impressed. Joanne was extremely thorough, taking measurements and photos. She then drew a detailed stencil over my brows of what she recommended, so I could decide if I liked it or wanted to make any changes. I scheduled the actual procedure for the following week. Again, super impressed. She took more measurements and confirmed what we had discussed during the consultation before she began. After another stencil for my approval and guidelines for her, she applied a numbing cream. The procedure was a piece of cake. I never felt any pain during or afterwards and my brows look amazing! I have a follow up appointment in a month so she can check my healing progress and see if I need any touch up. So glad I came to Joanne. I could not be happier. Just a heads up, she does not take credit cards.

Do NOT go here unless you want a shaven, completely unnatural stenciled look. I've been dealing…read morewith the outcome of this botched nanoblading job for a year spending thousands to correct. It is so upsetting. I asked for natural and while a slightly lifted look was an upside, she shaved my eyebrow and then stenciled on me a brow that goes against my hair growth. How is that natural? I look horrible. All I wanted was natural little hairs. do not go here. It's so upsetting. My impression and direction was always that this would have been precise hair strokes, not a stenciled tattoo which is completely fake looking. Never was it explained to me that this was how it would be executed and by the time she started it was too late. There was no discussion or approval.

Jane is wonderful! She explained every step of the process, and I felt completely relaxed and trusted her from the very beginning. I also really loved the peaceful, meditative atmosphere, with The KLOUD9 and the beautiful sound of Crystal Singing Bowls. I left Love Cheni feeling relaxed, light, and most importantly -- beautiful!

After getting a lash lift from Jane, I came home and got this response from my boyfriend: "Have you…read morebeen trying a new mascara?" I told him "no, there are my real lashes without any makeup." He didn't believe me. It was by far the best compliment I've received on my lashes, and he noticed them within a few minutes! The process was simple and surprisingly quick. You lay on a reclined chair, and Jane puts a warm blanket on you. She cleans your lashes, sticks them to a pad, and puts the solution on. I recommend having a podcast or music set up beforehand because it happens pretty quickly. You slip on the earphones and 30 mins later the process is done. Afterwards, beautifully-curled eyelashes. I just got them done on Friday, so I'll update how long they last. But so far, so good. I waited 24 hours before washing my face and 48 hours before using any oils or creams. This might be my next addiction. I'd love to never have to use mascara or eyelash curlers again! Tip: I received $5 off the service for paying in cash.

I got the hybrid set. The technical application was good, and at one week in they're holding up…read morewell. The direction and retention look great, which speaks to solid workmanship. That said, the lash design and mapping were not a fit for me. The set came out much more glam than what I was hoping for: very long, volumized, and low-set. On my eyes, the lashes hung forward, hit my glasses, and partially obstructed my vision. They also felt heavy on my naturally fine lashes. It's just not my personal style. The full set took about an hour, which made the experience feel more focused on speed than on customized eye-shape mapping. I do want to give credit where it's due: when I reached out, the studio was responsive and professional, offered to fix the set, and ultimately issued a partial refund, which I really appreciated. The studio is also reasonably priced and easy to book. This may be a great fit for clients who like bolder, dramatic, traditional glam lashes. If you're looking for a lighter or more natural/modern style, it may not be the best match. One additional thing to note is that the studio uses an open floor plan with multiple beds and clients in a shared room, which is consistent with the lower price point and worth knowing before you book.
