I have been wanting to have Microblading done for many years. I am a 2 time cancer survivor and have very little in the way of eyebrows because of my treatments. Now that I am well enough to have the procedure done, I came to Joanne on the recommendation of a good friend. I didn't want to pick some random salon off the internet for something relatively permanent. At our first meeting for my free consultation, I was immediately impressed. Joanne was extremely thorough, taking measurements and photos. She then drew a detailed stencil over my brows of what she recommended, so I could decide if I liked it or wanted to make any changes. I scheduled the actual procedure for the following week. Again, super impressed. She took more measurements and confirmed what we had discussed during the consultation before she began. After another stencil for my approval and guidelines for her, she applied a numbing cream. The procedure was a piece of cake. I never felt any pain during or afterwards and my brows look amazing! I have a follow up appointment in a month so she can check my healing progress and see if I need any touch up. So glad I came to Joanne. I could not be happier. Have been getting my lashes done here at Home for a little over a month now. I never thought I'd get lash extensions cause I didn't find the need for it and I thought maintenance would be brutal. But I'm so glad I got to try them out cause now I'm hooked! Since I got them, I don't have to care about using mascara anymore or an eyelash curler. I wake up and they're already nice, thick, and curled. Not to mention how much they add to your appearance and how beautiful they make you feel. Maintaining them was also super simple. Evelyn did my first set of lashes back in mid April and I've been coming back every 2 ish weeks for a refill since. She is very gentle when doing my lashes and takes her time to make sure they come out perfect. My appointments usually last for an hour and half but time passes by quick with chatting or taking a mini nap. And when I wake up, I have a beautiful set of thick lashes! Evelyn is amazing! I've never thought about getting lash extensions but gave it a shot after realizing how straight and short my lashes are. I started going to her for a few months ago and they make such a huge difference. She's very gentle and makes the process so relaxing. And they last well in between appointments (3 weeks apart). I let her know I would be in a work meeting and she said "okay" and I asked her to turn off the music bc it was distracting, she then said "okay" and turned it lower. When she was done I noticed that the lashes were almost mink thin. She then told me I had to pay an extra $35 bc she didn't "have time" for a new set and outside lashes. Paul is a pro at body wave perms. Worth every penny! I highly recommend him. I am Asian so have always had very straight flat hair. Since I recently had a baby, I wanted to get a body wave perm so I could just wash my hair and go instead of spending hours blow drying. A close friend of mine has been going to Paul for years so I thought I'd give him a try. I have suffered prior trauma from bad perms in the past when I told the stylist my hair curls very easily and they wouldn't listen to me so I ended up coming out looking like my Taiwanese mom. Not cool (no offense to my mom). I expressed this to Paul and he reassured me he would check every 10 min. If the curl took, he would immediately neutralize the solution and take the rollers out. He also did not curl the hair to the roots because this is what makes it look like older Asian moms. I was a little skeptical until I saw the final product and boy was I happy! It's been a few weeks now so the curl has relaxed a little but still looks very natural. My extremely long hair which fell flat before is now full of body and looks great. I don't have to do much with it which is even better. Definitely going back to see Paul when the curls need to be refreshed with a new perm. So I went back in today for an eyebrow touch-up, and Joanne said she has some new products. Joanne is always up to date on the latest & greatest products (and even some that are not even out yet!) I normally get a solid brow tattoo, but we went with the microblading again. First off, this salon is very clean and well kept. I walked in and was welcomed by this young lady and only had to wait 2 minutes to get seated in the lash room. Joanne was very sweet and kind and explained all the details I wanted to know about the lash extensions and how it worked and what I would be expecting for after care as well. One star added that I called the stylist and told him about the situation and he called me to go in and dye the whole head in a darker color. Problem was fixed and he didn't charge for the service.
