Had a great experience getting my lashes done & brows waxed since moving up to the city from SoCal at the beginning of COVID lockdowns. Lynda is very sweet and accomodating. Lashes: I loved the fact that she was very knowledgeable and educational about what kind of lashes work best per client. She measured my lashes, recommended that the best lash size is to go a maximum of 3 sizes up from what one's natural lash length was, and explained that this was to ensure that your natural lashes would stay damage-free. Clients get to choose from a more cat-eye look or a rounder look which I believe you can customize further if you already have a preference. She also went in-depth on aftercare tips. Overall, in comparison to the competitors in the city, Lynda's prices on initial and refills are very reasonable. I also love that you can directly book everything online. Her lash studio, located in the back of New Starting Hair & Beauty Salon, is kept very clean. For health and safety reasons, she requires her clients to fill out a COVID disclosure form, sanitizing hands, and a temperature check upon arrival. Was able to make a same day appointment and Lynda did an extensive explanation of the options and process which I appreciated. She recommended the natural vs mink since I wanted them for an everyday look, but I ended up having to trim them anyway since it was a bit too long for my first week of work. My actual lashes are 8m and she recommended to go 3m up to 11, but I think I'll get 9 or 10 going forward. Maybe go only 2m up if you want them more natural looking. Took a 90 min nap and woke up fab. 5 stars if I didn't have to trim! read more

I get lash extensions regularly, but these were the worst ones yet. Lashes were quite short and underwhelming but did not look bad and she was quite nice so I was not going to complain. The lashes, however, were applied completely wrong. Several lashes to each lash and too far down the shaft making them very uncomfortable. It has been about a week and 90% have fallen out without my eyelash attached. They're falling out in clumps of 2 or 3 meaning they were not applied correctly. I have attached a before, after, and week later picture. Save your money and get them done somewhere else even if you have to pay a little more. Complete waste of money. read more

I've felt very deceived by the 5 star ratings, the website and yelp photos of it's location. first of all, it was difficult to find this place, because it's simply a room lying in the back of a dinky hair salon. it's the kind of salon i wouldn't even step inside for any reason. the website doesn't tell you how to get to lavish boutique, as if the business wants you to think it's a store you'll see walking on a street. let me make the official announcement here that lavish boutique is inside CK SALON. on yelp, the photo of the eyelash room looks stylish and modern. even the website looks modern. but all you see when you get there, it's just a small room. you must first walk through dinky CK salon to a small room in the back. makes you feel classy, doesn't it? i feel like i'm about to do some illegal business coming here. i've been getting my eyelashes done (at various places in SF and LA) for the past 3 years and NEVER in my life was told that a beautician would not apply an eyelash length 3 sizes more than my natural eyelash length. it's not safe, she said. it's been done on me for years?! if that's the way you do business, fine. put that on your website! apparently, if you just want a simple classic extension, by all means, try it out. but if you're looking for 3D volume or want lashes more than 3 sizes longer than your natural length. don't bother coming here. it's a limiting eyelash extension boutique. they wouldn't tell you otherwise, not until you're finally lying down on the work bench. i'm not upset by her work. i'm upset because disclaimers weren't being made ahead of time. it makes me mad that i'm going into the appointment thinking and expecting to get 3D volume at a certain length and was told at the last minute that i'm not going to get what i want. surely, i'm not the first customer to experience this. so for the business to continuously not make the effort to make this disclaimer tells me how purposely deceiving lavish boutique really is. read more

This place really disappointed me. I'm originally from Los Angeles and was looking for a new lash pace in the Bay Area that I could go to every month and it looks like I still haven't found that despite the promising reviews of this place. I had extreme fallout within a week of getting them done which disappointment me the most. Most professional lashes last me 4+ weeks just by maintaining them well. She books her appointments back to back, with each session being an hour. With that, I can see how she rushed with my lashes because my right eye still looks decent while my left was rushed for time, thus looking extremely sparse within the second week. While her service is a good price, in the end I don't think it would be worth it with how often you'd need a fill due to the poor quality they were put on. My last disappointment was her unwillingness to cater to the style of lashes I had wanted. I told her which lengths I typically get and she told me they were too long to do and refused to do them. She's extremely nice and she does have a clean studio. I would recommend her if you wanted to try lash extensions for the first time but would definitely look at other places also, especially if you want to find a "go-to place" or are used to higher quality of service. read more

Lynda works quickly but efficiently- I don't have to spend hours lying there. My refill appointments are usually around an hour or so. The studio is extremely clean, and she plays relaxing music. Also, I've never had any eye irritation with the stuff she uses to keep your lower lashes down, and I have very sensitive eyes usually. The best part is that I feel like the lashes stay for a long time if you follow her instructions. I need to go in every 3 weeks or so, and I touch my eyes way more than I should. I've been going to Lynda for lashes and Brazilians for the past year, basically since she's been opened. Lashes- Love them! I used to get them elsewhere in the city and lynda is meticulous and the lashes always look amazing. She fills up fast so book early on! One thing I love about Lynda is on days I come in for my 3 week fill she'll ask me how did the lashes fare, she even asked once when she saw me in glasses if I felt they were too long since they were touching the lens. Last month I went to Lynda for my first lash set. I thought I loved them, but I was out of SF for a few weeks so I booked a fill with someone else in Santa Barbara. She told me that Lynda had glued the single extensions to multiple of my natural lashes. Which a big no-no. Doing that damages natural lashes because it pulls out extra lashes when they aren't ready to fall out.
