Anh did an amazing job, saving my lashes from the previous butcher job that was done by another lash artist that I saw on a whim during my trip to Hawaii. I was able to book an appointment easily online and sent in a $40 deposit via Venmo to hold my appointment slot. Anh texts you instructions to get to the small private studio (1 bed, 1 client at a time). When you get there, dial 423 to be buzzed in. Thank you so much Anh for taking the extra time to detangle my lashes, work around the super long lengths that were left, and making sure the new fill looked very even and filled the gaps as closely as possible. It's difficult for a lash technician to do foreign fills and some won't do them at all, and Anh did a great job of being gentle with my natural lashes. I asked for my previous artist to put 12mm lashes on, but Anh let me know that she had actually put on 14-15mm, which is why the old extensions were so heavy and long on my natural lashes. I asked for her to do 9-12mm light wispy volume fill ($165 before tip - $115 for light volume fill, plus $25 for foreign fill, plus $25 for wispy, minus $40 from deposit) from inner to outer corner, and the new lashes were so light I couldn't believe how great they looked when I opened my eyes. She had such a gentle hand and is so quiet that I fell asleep, and since I prefer not making conversation that was perfect for me. It's been almost a week, and only a few fans have fallen out (the natural process of lashes falling out) so retention looks to be pretty good. I've been really happy with every appointment I've had with her. I have had both lift and extension services (classic and volume). She's very attentive and helps you understand your lash health (against the look you want to achieve) and has great tips for how to care for your lashes. To put into perspective: she knows when I am not using my lash serum on the regular because my lashes are weaker and therefore what my lashes can take on changes. I found Anh through yelp. At first, I was a little hesitant because she didn't have that many reviews but it's probably because her business is relatively new. I read through each review, looked through the pictures and gave this place a try and I'm so glad I did! I've had lash extension plenty of times before but this time around, I wanted lash lift and tint. My lashes were long but were also straight. They also didn't hold curls that well without waterproof mascara. I didn't want to damage my lashes by curling them everyday but I want to have curled and fluttery lashes. So, lash lift was another option next to extension. I've never had a lash lift before and was looking around for salons that would offer this service. Since, it's my very first time, I had to make sure that the product would be suitable for my skin. I contacted Anh if I could get a patch test and asked a bunch of questions before the actual service. She was very helpful. She answered all my questions and she also provided a patch test to ensure there wouldn't be a disastrous allergy reaction. Fast forward, I got my patch test and no allergy reaction then following up to the day I got my lashes lifted. It was a straight forward process. It took about 1-1.5? It went by fast because Anh was personable and we were chatting it up. My experience with And was very pleasant. She was friendly, honest, and has reasonable rates. I booked a light classic lash extension with her Saturday. Took about an hour, the session was fine. Quiet. Peaceful. I typically like for the technicians to explain what they're doing so I understand the process better but she barely spoke. Which I don't mind.. just meant if I was curious about something I had to ask. Hard to know what you're curious about if you can't see anything though (eyes are closed for the entire session). Within a day of my extensions appointment my lashes were shedding and by day 2 it looked like I barely had anything done. I had wanted them done in advance of a Mexico trip.. so I asked for a touch up and she informed me it would be the full price of a touch up.. aka $65. Typically I would not go for it... that's super steep considering I JUST got them done 2 days ago but if I was going to have them done for my vacation, I might as well have them done right so I swallowed my pride and accepted the $65 charge. She squeezed me in last minute on a Tuesday night (very kind of her) touched up my lashes and gave me some super bonding glue or something in hopes it would stay better. Next morning, same thing... tons had already fallen off. I don't sleep on my face, didn't get them wet for 24 hours as indicated in aftercare... It's now 2 days after my touch up and I'm pretty much once again at my original lash situation... barely anything left and I'm out 190 bucks ($105+$65+tip). I would not go back.. but hey, maybe lash extensions just aren't for me (I find this hard to believe, lashes should be able to last more than 2 days)... UPDATE: I have been away on my bachelorette trip (mexico) since posting the original review. As seen in Anh's comment she has been texting me asking if we can talk. However it was clear that her intent was for me to remove my review here. It wasn't to help solve my retention issue as she seems to allude to in her reply, it was trying to figure out how we can work out a plan that would include me removing this review! The woman before her was using way too much glue and putting lashes on multiple lashes causing them to break off and damage my natural lashes. I came across this place, and I know some people may be hesitant because she has very little reviews, but don't be! Her business is newer, but the 5 stars is totally in line with her services. She takes her time, and listens to exactly what you want. She's also super easy to talk to (which TG because who wants to lay down for 2 hours and have awkward company). I was recommended Cilia Studio from a friend after I had shared how badly my first set of lash extensions went. The first thing I noticed with Ahn is how communicative she was. She asked me if I had extensions before, what kind of look I was hoping to go for and why she would/wouldn't recommend certain extensions.
