It is so upsetting. I asked for natural and while a slightly lifted look was an upside, she shaved my eyebrow and then stenciled on me a brow that goes against my hair growth. How is that natural? I've gotten both lash extensions and brows with Analise and have always been 100% satisfied with her work! Her studio is easy to find and there is ample street parking in the area. I've gotten lash extensions at Lashed several times and they have always been consistent. I usually get volume lashes in a wispy cat eye style and my retention is always great (~3 weeks, which is standard). The best part is, the lashes don't take over 2 hours! I've been to other lash artists where I have to lay down for almost 3 hours for a full set and I start to get antsy. Analise is also super careful when applying the extensions so that they aren't stuck together or irritating my eyes in any way. Her volume sets have just the right amount of volume while still being comfortable and light on my eyes. Most recently, I came back to Lashed for a brow touch up. I've gotten my brows done several times with different artists and they were starting to fade after a few years. I sent photos of my brows before my appointment and Analise gave me some feedback and also sent some examples of brow styles that would work for me since I had previous color on my brows. During the actual appointment, she took the time to draw and measure my brows and make sure that I liked the shape and style before starting. I got soft ombre powder brows and I was so surprised that there was 0 pain! As I mentioned, I've gotten my brows done for years and have a pretty high pain tolerance, but they do start to get uncomfortable/sore after a few passes even with numbing cream. However, Analise works with such a light hand that the "pain" was a 0 out of 10! After the appointment, Analise gave me very clear aftercare instructions with ointment and cleanser for my brows. I'm happy to say that after a week, the scabbing period is mostly over and they healed into such a nice and even color. When I changed my mind on lip blushing 2 days ahead of my appointment and asked if we could do a different service instead, to honor my deposit, she canceled my appointment and held onto my deposit, which was not what I asked for. I wanted to keep my appointment but simply change the type of service. I don't see how this would be an inconvenience as both parties would still be engaging in a transaction. All I asked was to change the service because I no longer wanted something semi permanent on my face and wanted to go for a lamination/lash lift instead. Rather than responding initially when seeing my message she takes over a day to respond and canceled my appointment before even responding. Mind you she also previously asked to switch the day of my appointment and then proceeds to no longer offer appointments on Fridays. Seemed like she wanted to get out of the appointment on a Friday and was happy to take my money when this could've easily been resolved. Unprofessional and unclear booking conditions. Kind of bizarre that we get penalized for changing our mind on something that is semi permanent on our face. when she initially responded I immediately communicated that I don't want a cancellation and just want to change the service she tells me to reschedule to another day. But expects me to pay another $75 deposit. So I didn't feel comfortable continuing on working with her. So I filed a claim to get my deposit back and she falsely claimed that I canceled the appointment. In the claim she only provided pictures of me asking for an appointment but never showed that she canceled the appointment. Kind of disappointed. $300 for lash extensions-- I really wanted to like this studio. Paying a premium, I was hoping for high quality and great customer service. Analise was very attentive when I first reached out. She answered all of my questions (and I had many) promptly, so it set my expectations high. Flexibility on appt and day of service all went well and my lashes looked great leaving the studio. A handful of days later, my lashes started to fall off rather quickly. 1.5 weeks later, most of my lashes on my right eye were gone. I emailed Analise, expecting a prompt response like she did the week before. Unfortunately, she has not responded. I got my first tattoo with Analise & she did not disappoint! My cousin and I booked her May Promo for tiny tattoos and she was able to accomodate us both. When we arrived, she gave me many options as to what font and size I was going for. She was very thorough in providing me the proper aftercare to make sure my tattoo healed nicely. I did not have an exceptional experience here although I do seem to be the exception based on reviews. My first visit I received repeated texts to switch times. I acquiesced and agreed to times changes. Truth is that I made three appointments and I can no longer remember how many times she texted requests to move each of them. I had gone to the eye doctor in the morning. Analise noticed that I'd gotten eye drops. It had not occurred to me that this would be a problem. She wiped my eyes off. I would happily have rinsed them myself and done so thoroughly. When I left she told me to let her know if any lashes fell off. A lot fell off. She met me the next day and replaced them. Two weeks( or one) I scheduled a fill in. Again repeated requests to reschedule times. By this time I was exhausted by what I experienced as unprofessional interactions with no regard for my time. BOTTOM LINE: A super convenient salon to get your lashes done in the Inner Richmond. Love getting my lashes done by Analise whenever I'm in the city. She's so nice to talk to, really laid back, and just wants to do a good job. I showed her an inspo pic before my first visit and we ended up going with the Glam Set. I always leave her salon feeling so glam! For reference, my lashes last about 2.5 weeks on me before I need a fill (which is completely normal across all lash salons for me bc my lashes grow FAST).
