Needed a new waxer in my area so I gave this place a shot and decided to book my appointment with Stephanie! She was super nice and understanding about me being 8 minutes late. She was really easy to talk to and we had great small talk. I'm most definitely sticking to her for now on :D read more

I came to Elite Wax in San Mateo for a Brazilian and I'm honestly so glad I found Wendy. From the moment I walked in, the space felt clean, private, and calm -- which matters a LOT for a service like this. Wendy is the kind of person who makes you feel comfortable immediately. She's warm, professional, and super efficient without ever feeling rushed. She checks in with you throughout, has a gentle technique, and you can tell she has years of experience. The Brazilian itself was way more manageable than past places I've been -- and I had minimal irritation after, which is a huge win for my sensitive skin. Also: she's thorough. Like... she cares about the details and it shows. I left feeling smooth, clean, and genuinely taken care of (not like I was just another appointment being pushed through). If you're new to waxing, nervous, or picky about who you trust -- book Wendy. This is 100% my new go-to spot. read more

I'm a new client to Elite Wax, and I was looking for a new place to help me with my Brazilian Wax and eyebrows! Following all the stellar reviews this company has already received, I was excited to come. I was scheduled with Wendy for my appointment, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Wendy was welcoming and very friendly, which made our first meet smooth and more comfortable for me! The room was very clean, and ready for me the moment I walked in and walked out! She took care of my , made sure to clean and protect my skin, educated me more on a good look for my eyebrow shape (bc I've had a lot of trust issues with my eyebrows), and maintained a hygienic workspace. She also has great music taste LOL Choosing Wendy was the best decision I've made!! A very sweet lady, I absolutely adore her!! Please come, it's like having girl time with one of your besties... except your is out heyyyyy!!! read more

Wendy is the best!! She makes you feel so comfortable and is really informative when it comes to your waxing. I've gone to many chain waxing businesses through the years but nothing as good as Elite. Will never go back to anyone besides Wendy! read more

I tried waxing for the first time, and I thought it would be difficult, but I was surprised by how quick, effective, and super professional it was. I would go back a thousand times, and the results are incredible. She made me feel comfortable and confident in her work and experience, The place is super clean and the vibe is peaceful. read more

I like this place because their waxing / technique does not give you in-growing hair later. Will continue coming back!

The most therapeutic wax I've ever had! Tran is amazing, took such great care of me and all the products used smelled so good and felt awesome on my skin. Thanks so much, I will be back! read more

Wendy is my go to! She is amazing and the only person I trust to do my waxing. Nobody is as friendly, heart warming, kind and attentive as she is. She also does the sessions so quickly that it makes it as painless as possible. Ive recommended her to multiple of my friends and they've all loved her. 10/10 recommend. read more

Thank you yelpers for sharing great reviews which led me to my new favorite waxing studio! I Booked with Wendy easily online for the next day. She was waiting out front for me as the location can be tricky to find your first time. The vibes were super cute and clean ! I had a great wax with Wendy and look forward to coming back again. Definitely recommend! read more

First time here, both at this location and for waxing in general. Wendy was incredibly kind and professional and made me feel comfortable from the start to end. She even gave me a lot of helpful tips prior to my visit for first timer as well. The space was clean and private. She uses wax imported from I believe she said Italy, and it was very gentle, more gentle than I had expected! You can tell she really cares about her clients. I would definitely recommend! read more

This was the best wax experience I've had to date! I booked a last minute appointment, and Tran was already waiting outside as the place is kinda hard to find for new clients. She was so warm, bubbly, and friendly, which made me feel immediately comfortable. We chatted the entire time, and that really helped distract from the waxing itself. It went by so quick, I was so surprised! It's so hard to find someone you trust who is able to make what is normally an awkward service, a completely comfortable experience. So glad to have found, Tran. Thank you so much! read more

I went here and got a Brazilian, mustache, and armpit wax by Wendy. I was super nervous at first, but she instantly made me feel comfortable and the wax was less painful compared to other places I have been too (I have a low pain tolerance). She was very professional and knowledgable in this field! The suite that she is located in felt cozy, personal, and luxurious, unlike other wax centers. Definitely felt like I was pampering myself by booking here. I would 100% come back, I already booked my next appointment! Would totally recommend! read more

I went here to get a Brazilian, armpit, upper lip, and eyebrow wax done with Tran! I was pretty nervous because this was my first time getting a Brazilian and armpit wax, but Tran ensured that she took extra good care of me throughout the entire way. I really appreciated that she didn't rush the process. Not only is her technique quick and as gentle as possible, but her easygoing and kind personality helped put me at ease. She also gave me really good tips of how to take care of my area throughout the healing process. (I have a sensitive skin type). I would definitely be coming back here for my next wax appointment. I highly recommend Tran, she's awesome! read more

I had moved to the area from the south bay and was very hesitant to try new places since I really liked the one I'd always go to. However, after reading the reviews and getting tired of the commute just to get a sugaring done, I decided to try this place a few months ago and honestly it was a great decision to do so! Wendy made me feel welcome and comfortable and informed me about her practice and everything I needed to know before she got started. She worked very fast and it was almost virtually painless. She was also super thorough with making sure she got every inch possible. She's also super sweet and funny and honestly it's always a great vibe with her! I highly recommend this place. If you have any doubts about trying it out, I say just go for it. She's wonderful and I'm super happy with the results. Wendy is my new go to for sure! Thanks so much, Wendy! -venus read more

I loved loved Wendy! I was a squeeze in and called her if I can be added to her schedule. I was totally fine to be turned away but Wendy took me to her schedule even though she was back to back. She made me comfortable, she kept conversation going, and I just love the vibe. Highly recommend her and will definitely go back!!! Already going back next week for my brows. read more

Amazing service good people very accommodating anytime you. My wife really likes this place. A+++++++++++++

Wendy is the best waxer I have ever gone to! She is so professional and quick and she is the sweetest person to talk to. I went here for my first wax and I always came back because she does it so well and even. The wax she uses is really good and does not irritate my skin. Everyone's skin is different and she always manages to give me the best experience and the smoothest, cleanest brazilian. I recommend Wendy 100% !! Perfection read more

I'm extremely disappointed and concerned about the service I received today. This was my second time getting a bikini wax here. The first time I had no issues, but today the experience was completely unacceptable. Immediately after the waxing I felt intense burning and pain, which I initially assumed was normal irritation. However, when I got home I discovered blood on my underwear and noticed that the skin in a very sensitive area near my genital region had actually been cut. There is a visible cut or something red open vertical wound that should never happen during a professional waxing service. It is extremely painful, especially when I urinate, and I am very worried about possible infection. I have been getting waxing services for about 15 years and have never experienced anything like this before. This situation is very concerning and not something I expected from a professional service. I cannot believe this happened to me! read more

I was nervous as I'd not had my eye brows waxed for quite awhile after moving cities away from my regular person. From the start, Wendy was friendly, easy to relax around and did an amazing job on my eye brows. I've found my new spot! Pros: Great brow waxing in a comfortable and relaxing environment. Saw Wendy for the "manzillion" which is the male version of the Brazilian and she was fantastic! The one I used to see before (7 years) had to retire and I've been to a few since but I think I've found my new go-to person. She takes good care of you and makes sure you are very bare when the wax is done including taking out the stragglers that didn't come off during the wax itself. She's super cool and her vibe is calm and cool as a cucumber. She also offered to take care of my other areas that I didn't include as part of this appointment but was able to include that in this appt such as my ears, nose and eyebrows. She is a pro and only uses hard wax which in my opinion is the best kind to use instead of the soft wax. Soft wax sticks to your skin which causes more redness on your skin but hard wax only sticks to your hair and practically hovers over your skin. She also has a variety of hard wax depending on the sensitivity of your skin. I'm definitely going back to her again in 6 weeks or so. read more

AMAZING This was my first time waxing the and she made me feel so comfortable through the whole process. Girly knows her stuff ! She also did my brows and I love them ! Most places just do a cleanup, but girly here took her time to find the brow shape that compliments your whole face. I love that she was incredibly detailed. Overall: 10/10 def recommend ! 1000+ Stars for me! LOVED Wendy! First time getting a wax and Wendy made all my fears and preconceptions about waxing fade away. I just found her through Yelp, I booked on her site (super easy), I had a question and posted on here and she answered SO FAST (I really appreciate that in a business), and I liked that the cancellation policy was 2 hours before not like a whole day (not that I would, but just in case of emergencies!) Parking - Street parking in front on the Main Street and directly across in the residential area which is where I usually park. It's in like a shared building but you just need to go into the door in front and go down the hall and turn right. I wasn't sure how the set up was inside her suite, like if she had a waiting room or anything but it's just the one room. So I just knocked and waited outside the door because she was still with another client. Update - Wendy is just so sweet! She remembered me when I came back from my second appt. I've already booked my third appt for the summer! read more

I found Elite Wax by searching the area around me for a place that offered great waxing service, and from the moment Wendy picked up the phone to the time I walked out of my appointment just 30 minutes go, it did not disappoint. Wendy is SO accommodating, friendly, professional, and, most importantly, skilled at what she does. I waxed my full arms, full legs, and eyebrows, and Wendy was phenomenal. I will absolutely be back. She made me feel so warm and welcomed, and we had great conversation as she was doing her work. I loved it and highly recommend it to anyone looking for great work done! read more

Wendy is amazing!! This was my first time trying the hard wax and I got a Brazilian, the pain was super bearable. I've gotten sugar waxed before but this is honestly better in my opinion. With sugar waxing it was pulling my skin and I would get sweaty to where the sugar wax wouldn't stick. My skin was definitely not getting pulled you can tell it's just getting the hair and with Wendy she has a small fan aimed where she was waxing so it kept me from getting sweaty. LOVED THAT SHE HAS THAT!!! Wendy made this such a great experience for it being my first time with hard wax. You can tell she really loves what she does and is great at it! Service was great and Wendy is great!! I will definitely be a long time customer from here on out! read more

Tran is amazing! Super talented and efficient. Don't hesitate to get your care here.

Wendy is awesome! This was my first wax with her and she did not disappoint. I booked a last minute Brazilian and underarm wax. She really knows what she's doing. Makes the wax quick, easy, and not super painful. It had been months since my last wax, but she made me comfortable and got it done fast. I also hadn't gotten my eyebrows done in years. They were very bushy and she suggested a little shaping. I decided to trust her and I'm so glad I did! She reshaped and trimmed them and I love the results. I highly recommend Wendy. She's perfected her craft. read more

This review has been long overdue. I started waxing with Wendy years ago prior to her branching out on her own. I chose her in particular because of all the wax technicians that were working at this particular place, she was the one that received the BEST reviews. Since then, I have not waxed with or trusted anyone else....she is THAT good. I had even brought my teenage nieces to wax their lip and eyebrows with her for their first time. They were a little nervous but she made their experience great one just as I know she would. My nieces are just like their auntie and they don't want to go to anyone else either. Wendy uses the best products. Her space is always clean and sanitized. She makes you feel relaxed and just well taken care of. I know for a fact that alot of Wendy's clientele followed her from where she used to work. That's because she is THE BEST at what she does. I know because I am one of them. I lived in San Bruno and instead of different wax locations near me, I made my way to San Mateo to Wendy. I now live in SF, and I will still make my way to Wendy. To have clients that will support you in branching out on your own and that are willing to drive miles because your work is THE BEST speaks volumes about how good they are!! GO TO WENDY @ ELITE.....YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! read more

I have been searching for a licensed waxer and came across Wendy. Wendy is a professional, kind, and knowledgeable individual. She utilizes only the highest quality wax and ensures that her clients feel safe and relaxed during their appointments. Upon my arrival, she graciously offered me water and inquired if I needed to use the restroom. Remarkably, I experienced minimal discomfort during my face and body waxing session. Wendy worked swiftly and efficiently, and the pre- and post-care she applied did not cause any irritation to my sensitive and eczema-prone skin. There is street parking available in the area. I now look forward to my future waxing appointments! Thank you Wendy! read more

Wendy at Elite Wax is the best!!!! Got my eyebrows done by her for the first time and I love them!

I hit the jackpot with both Wendy and Tran. It was my first time there, and I made a mistake in scheduling my appt, but they were accommodating. So, I got the pleasure of meeting both ladies in one appointment. They were both extremely friendly, did a fantastic job, and pain-free. I will be back very soon. read more

Easy to make appointments, fast service, very friendly environment. she can handle almost any body part and uses top quality wax.
