I rate Vivian's lash services as second to none! I absolutely trust her. She has demonstrated a depth of knowledge I've not experienced with other lash service providers. Vivian is trained and continues to keep up with her education. On my first visit she provided good information on her application techniques to either create a rounder eye versus a wider look. She asked probing questions to get a good idea as to what I wanted. She asked about my work out regime and makeup, explaining how heat and oil affects the lash adhesive. I told her my lash extensions would curl sideways. She explained why and vowed that kind of application would never happen at her studio. At the end of our first visit I left pleased with my new, very natural look. Three weeks later, I returned with most of my extensions still working for me. I've been with Vivian for all of 2025 now. I have been doing my lashes for years. I can't tell you how happy I was to find Vivian for my lashes. She is very detail orientated (my love language) and has really learned how to do them exactly how I like; full and plush with a splash of natural (Natural as in.. I wish I had long voluminous lashes naturally lol) . She is such a joy to visit every 2 weeks, I truly look forward to our appointments. She keeps me organized and always helps me reschedule my appointments before leaving. Her room is always relaxing and very clean and you can see how much she cares about her business with all her little special touches. Idk why this took me so long to post, but whatever. First of all, Vivian took FOREVERRRRR doing my lashes. And maybe some people would be mad about that, but those people are basic and uncultured and don't know that professional lash extensions are an ART FORM. Yes, I say that because my previous set was done in a less professional setting and that was a whole situation . Vivian took almost 2 hours fixing me up, but dammit did we HIT. IT. OFF! She was funny, she was cool, she was always professional. This girl is a boss lady, yessir. She made me feel like I was talking to one of my girl friends and I didn't even know her lol. Since the other technician is the only person I'd ever had do my lashes, I had no idea the damage that had been done due to poor technique and improper application of my extensions. Vivian was so nice, knowledgeable, and honest about the struggling condition of my lashes and gave me feedback on not only how to avoid further damage by only applying the proper length/weight to healthy lashes and not overburdening my weakened ones but also providing recommendations for lash growth serum. Needless to say I never went back to my previous technician, and I've been exclusively going to Vivian for the last several months. My lashes have not only been repaired due to her meticulous care but have also grown long and strong due to the serum use. She is a true ARTIST! I will be loyal to her for my lashes always. I really wanted to try a Yumi lift. Compared to lash extensions and regular lash lifts it seemed like by far the best option for me, given the length the effects last, the price, and how you don't have to be super careful once you've had it done. I went through the Yumi website's list of certified people and Vivian popped up. It was super easy to book an appointment online, and prior to the date I got handy reminders and instructions. The location is in a cute part of San Mateo with good street parking, and a smaller lot by the actual storefront. Vivian was really informative, and she made sure I understood what effect Yumi would have on my eyelashes, and what all went into the procedure (as a first timer, it was great). She had on relaxing music and the whole place smelled nice, it was a very spa-like atmosphere. Throughout the whole thing Vivian made sure I was comfortable, and she made it a really nice experience (she's super chill to talk to).
