I got the hybrid set. The technical application was good, and at one week in they're holding up well. The direction and retention look great, which speaks to solid workmanship. That said, the lash design and mapping were not a fit for me. The set came out much more glam than what I was hoping for: very long, volumized, and low-set. On my eyes, the lashes hung forward, hit my glasses, and partially obstructed my vision. They also felt heavy on my naturally fine lashes. It's just not my personal style. The full set took about an hour, which made the experience feel more focused on speed than on customized eye-shape mapping. I do want to give credit where it's due: when I reached out, the studio was responsive and professional, offered to fix the set, and ultimately issued a partial refund, which I really appreciated. The studio is also reasonably priced and easy to book. This may be a great fit for clients who like bolder, dramatic, traditional glam lashes. If you're looking for a lighter or more natural/modern style, it may not be the best match. One additional thing to note is that the studio uses an open floor plan with multiple beds and clients in a shared room, which is consistent with the lower price point and worth knowing before you book. read more

Within a day of posting my review the owner, Lisa, reached out to me and offered to make it right. She brought me back in and gave me a new full beautiful set of lashes that are fluffy and perfect. She showed me all of my options and asked me exactly what I wanted, explained to me the care process, and what She'd be doing - she wouldn't let me leave until the lashes were completed fixed. Came here to see Jessica and was the first time getting my lashes done for my bachelorette party. She was very friendly and attentive to what I was looking for. Since it was my first time we did the classic set which was natural looking but still adds volume. It was perfect for a pool party setting. I got compliments on them and will be going back for my wedding set. I'll probably try a bit heavier of a set for the wedding for that extra glam look. This place is good and they definitely know what they're doing. I did a ton of homework before booking my first appointment here and what I like about this salon the most is that eyelash extensions all that they do. I would definitely have to say that the technicians here have really specialize their craft and only focus on eyelash extensions. Getting a procedure like this done is both very expensive and not something you want to play around with using a technician who doesn't do this 100% of the time. Lisa has done the last couple sets of lashes that I have she is amazing. Another thing that I like about this place is they really take into account how many false eyelashes you can actually support with your own eyelashes without damaging them. Of course every girl wants the longest and most fullest set of lashes but not everyone can support the weight of them without damaging their own and that's really important to me. It's clear that they don't want to just make a buck off of you but actually care about you retaining your natural eyelashes afterwards. Bottom line, false eyelashes are very expensive and require upkeep in order to maintain how beautiful they are. I found Lisa in February 2016 and have been a loyal customer for 2 years now. My review is long overdue but I've been a client here long enough to give a really thorough review. I like my lashes full and dramatic so I go with the volume/classic mix. I usually go 3 weeks between fills. If I have a lot of special events, I'll refill every 2 weeks. A handful of times, due to my schedule, I had to wait 4 weeks between my fills. Because I go with the volume/classic mix, 4 weeks still looks pretty good. It's not as full as I like but I'm not left with just 2-3 lashes at this point. I've been going to iLash Studio for 2 years now without ever taking a break for my lashes and they are not affecting my natural lash growth or volume at all. I wear makeup only occasionally near the eyes (waterproof liquid eyeliner, eyeshadow). Just be gentle when removing makeup and you should have no problems. And make sure to use oil-free products so you don't compromise the lash glue. I think it's not recommended but I have zero problems going into saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, laying face down for massages, etc. Lisa's glue works so great and the extensions refuse to fall off unless my lashes are ready to fall off with it. I obsessively check any lash extensions that fall out and am amazed every time that my own little Asian lashes are able to hold onto her volume fans. Also, every single one I see fall out only has one of my lashes glues to her extensions; she is so good!!! The extensions she uses are so lightweight and soft that I never notice they're there. I mainly go to Lisa for my extensions but I have gone to Thuy before due to schedule conflicts and I had an amazing experience too. I trust anyone Lisa has trained and would have no hesitation booking one of the other girls if Lisa's schedule didn't work with mine. If you've been considering getting eyelash extensions or aren't 100% happy with your current lash technician, I would highly recommend you try out iLash Studio! read more

Lisa was super nice and very informative, she educated me on lash upkeep and hygiene which I really appreciated having that knowledge upfront. I honestly have had much better experiences at other salons previous to this one and have since found a better one in Palo Alto. Maybe it's because the salons in the city are much higher quality in service/staff, but I really don't think this studio is that great (my personal opinion). For starters, I feel they overcharge for what you actually get. For example, if you are expecting a 90 minute session because the actual booking claimed 90 minutes, don't. They will do what they deem is "appropriate" aka they don't actually do what you're asking for, and when you question their decision, they say it's because you don't understand how their salon works, rather than finding a way to give you what you want. Most importantly, their lash extensions do not last. I've given this salon 3 fair chances, but every single time, most of my lashes were gone after the first week. Furthermore, the remaining lashes twisted and turned all sorts of directions (I know how to care for lashes. I've been doing them for 2 years). Given the price you pay at this salon, I find that pretty unacceptable... so I didn't even bother coming back and getting it fixed. I just looked for a better salon and found one! (Wink lashes in Palo Alto). If you're accustomed to paying reasonable prices for quality work/lashes that actually last 3/4 weeks, I recommend trying out Wink or any other salon. Lisa at iLash studio is such a perfectionist and truly amazing at what she does! These eyelashes are truly weightless and I am sooo addicted to them. It's silly how eyelash can give you that much extra confidence. It makes my small little eyes look bigger and they're so fun and flirty! I still use my latiesse in addition to the lashes because I was told by a friend that it makes my lash extensions last longer. Lisa told me I would need refills by 3-4 weeks but I didn't have to come back until 6 weeks later! And a little secret... She is so meticulous that her refills are basically a whole new set because when they're grown out she just doesn't leave it. Having longer, thicker lashes does make a difference. I can wake up not needing to put make up on and still look nice. It takes about 2 hours to get it done, it does sound long but it's worth it. So you've all probably heard that once you start getting your eyelashes done you can't stop. Well it's true! I've been going to Lisa every month ever since I met her this summer June 2014. So after 6 consecutive months of visiting Lisa I've decided to finally write a review. I'm actually sitting in her studio now writing this review as my friend is getting her eyelashes done! So as Im making a recommendation to you, I've already convinced my friends. First of all, I have extremely sensitive eyes. I had a terrible habit of rubbing them as well (which is probably why I'm lacking in the eyelash department). When my friend told me about eyelash extensions she had already been going to Lisa for awhile already and she talked me into trying it. When I met Lisa she was really sweet. She walked me through the process and made me feel extremely comfortable since I was concerned about my eye sensitivity. After I was finally convinced it wouldn't be a problem she had me lay down and placed these awesome gel patches on my eyes that were meant to protect my bottom lashes and soothe the lower part of my eyes. The rest of my experience was painless as promised. After 45 minutes I appeared to have visible lashes for the first time in my life. Even with mascara I wasn't able to get such a long natural look! I only had a half set done my first time but nowadays I've been upping on the lashes and getting full sets. My eyelashes have also gotten significantly stronger as well since I have learned to take better care of my eyelashes. I would highly recommend Lisa if you're looking to get high quality eyelash extensions. These aren't cheap falsies but they are indefinitely worth the investment if you want long, strong, and natural lashes. Prior to moving to iLash Studio I had gone eyelash extension-less because I had concerns about my eye health and the last place I went to the lash extensions wouldn't stay on for very long so I had to visit every other week for a fill. Lisa has great availability times and easy online appointment system. It's never been hard for me to book an appointment for a fill. During my first appointment I addressed my concerns with my eye health and she advised me to use a cleanser to clean my eyelash extensions. I've gone to Yweight in the past for my eye lashes & decided to give myself a break due to the maintenance. Once I had them removed my lashes were completely damaged & non existent. Coming from someone who used to wear strip lashes, my eyelashes don't feel heavy, or look super fake and plastic looking. The training is top of the line and their students won't get certified until they meet Extreme Lash standards.
