We picked this lodge as the last time we were in RMNP we saw some kids playing out front in the play area with their dogs. It's a cute place, mountainy-decor vibes and the staff is really friendly. It looked like our bathroom and appliances were recently updated. We had a corner room and although we had a microwave and a refrigerator, it was located in the corner of the room in a way that the view form the beds was awkward (and the fridge door swung the wrong way). We stayed for 2 days and 1 night while we hiked at RMNP, with the RMNP entrance only 10-15 minutes away. There are fire pits to hang out, a small childrens play area, propane grills available and games for kids. My girls enjoyed the snacks and popcorn available in the lobby, with s'mores kits in the evening. The continental breakfast was decent enough to hold us while hiking. The pool was nice and especially the hot tub to soak in after a long day of hiking. We enjoyed our time here and would stay here again, although we would ask for a different room.

Very cute lodge! The rooms are super cute. We got a double queen bed room, and it's actually more like a suite with two single queen bedrooms, with a dividing wall, door and everything. Loved that idea, esp if you were go with family. Everyone has their privacy. The bed was decent. I prefer firm beds so I liked it. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was at the Appenzell Inn and included bagels, toast, prepackaged muffins, rolls, pop tarts, etc, as well as boiled egg, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. So decent spread. And very useful to carry with you into the park for the midday snack. On our last day, there were at least 2 herds of elk that roamed around on the road and around the lodge too. Very very cool to watch that! Overall really happy with my stay here and will definitely book this again in the future for a visit.

Very cute little inn, older but the rooms are updated. Comfortable bed and pillows. Perfect area outside to hang around a fire and let the dogs hang out. Propane grills available and games for kids. Popcorn in the lobby. Exactly what we needed for our visit to RMNP. friendly and accommodating staff. The walls are thin so you can hear everything in the rooms next door, and outside your room. The dogs liked that haha. Had a great stay.

The hotel is rich in history. Everywhere you look there is charm. We stayed in the "Cowboy Attic Suite". My mom immediately had an "experience". I heard a grandfather clock chime throughout our stay. I never saw one and forgot to ask where it was located. I love old clocks. My aunt had her own experience that woke her from her sleep. Everyone we encountered was nice and we appreciated the cander as we asked for their stories/experiences there. The bad....for what we paid, it was not worth it. The floor feels dirty. It is as though they have not thought to clean the carpets in quite some time. Under the bed is a nice layer of dust. The whole hotel could use a moist cloth and a good wipe down. The dust in the display cases throughout the hotel is obvious and off putting. We met Hannibal. Wish we would have booked the seance, but alas, we ran out of time. He was a hoot to talk to.

The entire outside of the hotel is torn up and under construction. There are very few parking spots available, and they are not reserved for hotel guests. We had to park at the Aspire Hotel and walk all of our luggage and belongings up to check in. We stayed in Room 215, which becomes extremely hot in warm weather because the sun sets directly on that side of the hotel (see photos provided). Since the hotel was built in 1909, there is no A/C. When we spoke with the front desk, we were told that once the sun set and temperatures dropped, opening the windows should cool the room down. Unfortunately, the room only cooled from 82 degrees to 79 degrees, and we could not sleep comfortably. Sunday morning, we requested a fan, and a box fan was delivered. Sunday night, the room finally cooled to 74 degrees -- but not until around 5 a.m. Paying $400 per night to be that uncomfortable was very disappointing. We recommend not staying at the hotel until construction is complete. If visiting during warmer months, make sure your room faces the front side of the hotel to avoid the intense afternoon and evening heat The bright spot of the stay was the staff at the restaurants and coffee shop, who were wonderful as always.

Close to downtown, beautiful nature sounds, easy to find, lovely room with a view to the river. We didn't really get any customer service experience since they give you a code for your door instead of a key card. Can't comment too much on that. The room was great, it had cups for water and coffee, plates, cutlery, a cutting board, and toaster, a fridge and well equipped for a short stay where you can bring your own snacks/food. Had a lovely time there.

It's a beautiful setting, but several issues impacted my experience. First, I felt the advertising was a bit misleading. I saw a pool listed on Orbitz, but I discovered there isn't a pool anywhere on the property. Instead, there are two above-ground hot tubs. I went to the one on the second level, but I found climbing the narrow metal stairs with wet feet to be a bit dangerous. I also noticed that the rooms are slightly dated and showing their age. In my room, the curtain rod was actually falling out of the wall, which told me they need to keep up with better maintenance. You should also know there is no lobby or front desk here; I just received a code via text message and entered it to get into my room. While efficient, it felt a bit impersonal. My biggest complaint, however, was the construction noise. I didn't realize they are currently expanding the inn and building two new buildings on the same lot. Unfortunately, my room was right next to the construction site, and I had to deal with loud noise all morning. I think this place has a lot of potential once the upgrades are done, but between the maintenance issues and the noise, I didn't find it to be the relaxing getaway I was hoping for.

So leading up to our stay I stayed in contact with the front desk Katie, letting her know it's our anniversary weekend and she was the sweetest. When I say this lady went above and beyond and didn't have to, she did! When we arrived, first off there is only 12 rooms, and each room has an actual key!! This place is literally nestled on a side of a mountain w other little resort around. The check in process was so cute. Katie checked us in gave us some yummy cookies and I even bought a cute 4seasons inn sticker to put on my car. The room we booked was a private suite w a private spa grill and seating area. There is seating area by the grill and by the spa. And it's also on the 2nd floor just an fyi if you're wheel chair bound or whatever limitations you may have. So we go into our room and she literally decorated the whole room for us for our anniversary and had a bottle of wine w two wine glasses and fire wood already in our room for us to start a fire. The room was VERY spacious. Has a kitchen that worked a full coffee maker. A good size fridge and the freezer worked amazing. The toiletries that come w the room smell just fantasists. The best morning I woke up to wild turkeys on the ground just gobbling away and elk and deer. There is a community grills and a spa and a few other amenities. The thing I love about this place is it's literally less than 5 mins from the National park and far enough away to be secluded but 8 mins from EVERYTHING in town. And in Estes park there is so much cramed in that town! I LOVED everything. Not a thing was bad about my whole stay.
