We had a wonderful time at woodlands . The weather was perfect . The room was just right ! The fire , the grill the two tv's helped . The best is the beautiful patio on the river . Bravo Woodlands ! We will be back !

The entire place front to back!

From start to finish no! Misrepresentation in photos to start, construction at the back door and that's your scene large equipment and beeping all day! The room is subpar and smells! The lady at the front was super nice and patient with me, helped me check in early and had an ionizer but really no other option to move us away from the noise. If you want to relax you have to stay away from your place! Parking is no good and no good access to the room to bring luggage. This is def an overpriced disappointment. Being in a Paramedic I just needed to get away and relax. This definitely feels like a complete rip off .

Cabin view

3 days of complete relaxation. Not that there aren't many things to do in Estes Park, Co but after a two week road trip sitting on a porch watching a river flow was exactly what we wanted. The "cabin" was super clean. The kitchen came supplied with enough coffee and condiments for a week. The kitchen is complete. I cooked 3 meals and didn't feel like I was missing anything. There is a grocery store just 10" away. Gas BBQ outside each unit. Laundry is so convenient. You pay at the front desk and detergent is included. No search for quarters. These are home machines so no over heating dryers like commercial units. During our stay there was no daily maid service but clean towels are easily accessible. This is a family owned resort. Everyone was so friendly. Even the DVD choices are on the honor system. If you plan on coming make your reservations early. They haven't had a vacancy since we arrived and there are NO VACANCY signs all the way up the canyon.

Our stay at Woodland was amazing. Such an amazing view and property. Check-in/out was easy, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the binder included in the room easily answered any question we had (e.g. wifi, hot tub, free DVD rental, laundry, check out porcedures, etc). Our place and the amenities were so nice. We loved the inlcuded coffee, silverware, and dishes, plus a grill on the patio; close to town and hard to beat! We would definitely stay here again!

I absolutely loved this place so much to the point where I almost cried when I had to leave!!! So clean and has everything you could ever want! They had a grill with grilling utensils, bowls, plates, coffee maker, coffee. Tea, popcorn, board games, microwave, refrigerator, dishwashing soap, paper towels and so much more! It was like having our own condo. So peaceful! The view was remarkable and it is not far from the downtown estes park area so it's a quick ride for groceries, shopping, etc. Pleade consider staying here! You will not regret it!

Tag after wiping off couch

I took my husband and son up for the weekend and decided to stay at this resort again because we had enjoyed our last stay. This stay we weren't so lucky. The room was filthy, I wiped down the couch as I had spilt some water on it and the picture below is the rag after wiping it, yuck. There were holes in the walls and everything pretty much looked like it needed to be updated/repaired. The final straw was I pulled out several plates that had food stuck on them still. I tried to go down to the office to mention the issues and see if we could maybe get a different room and due to COVID was never able to talk to anyone until we were leaving. When checking out, I told a gentleman who worked there about our the cleanliness of the room and his only response was "we must have missed that stuff during the deep clean". What deep clean? It looks like this place hadn't been cleaned in a long while.

Absolutely loved it here. Quiet, cozy, clean and such an incredible view from our room. I will definitely stay here again!

Dishwater was nice! Full kitchen allowed us to make dinners a lot!

- It was a clean cabin right when we came in. It didn't seem like a cabin, but more like a hotel-room feel and service with a nice kitchen. There was a vaulted ceiling on our second story room, and the fireplace wall was painted brown. It was just perfect, and the dishwater (clay and very clean) and reminded me of cabin life. - We overlooked a river, which was always full of great cut throat fish. My husband caught 6 one day! Bathroom was clean, and the sink space was super helpful for two people getting ready at the same time (long, big mirror too!). - We kept our bedroom window open at night and the river was the most perfect white noise we could ever ask for! - On our deck, there was outdoor metal furniture, but it could've been better. It was clean but not comfortable or good-looking compared to everything else. - No animals bugged us except for the cute magpie bird family in the tree by our deck! - We found that there was no iron or ironing board in the room, but they do have two ironing boards and irons, as well as two washers and dryers, on the complex close to our room. - The hot tub was open 10am-9pm. It had some dirt on it but was super hot (105 degrees) and had jet streams for back massages that were nice. - The movie collection is awesome and the location is only 5 minutes from Safeway Grocery and downtown, and 3 minutes from Rocky Mt National Park. - The bed and pillows are very comfortable, soft yet firm, and the shower head is nice and has good pressure! I will say it's hard to get the right temperature, it's either too hot or too cold and you have to adjust a lot to get it warm.

Cabin #1 and #2 in the distance. River with bridge entrance to property seen.

The staff were very kind and attentive, even gave us a better room since someone else cancelled! The cabins are awesome and have full kitchens! I will definitely be returning with family and friends. Great for any season. The river out front has Adirondack chairs to take in the scenery. Grills in front of every unit!

Loud. Right by a noisy road. Easily hear other guests. Parking is a mess. Amenities not well cared for.

Everywhere you look there is charm. We stayed in the "Cowboy Attic Suite". My mom immediately had an "experience". I heard a grandfather clock chime throughout our stay. I never saw one and forgot to ask where it was located. I love old clocks. My aunt had her own experience that woke her from her sleep. Everyone we encountered was nice and we appreciated the cander as we asked for their stories/experiences there. The bad....for what we paid, it was not worth it. The floor feels dirty. It is as though they have not thought to clean the carpets in quite some time. Under the bed is a nice layer of dust. The whole hotel could use a moist cloth and a good wipe down. The dust in the display cases throughout the hotel is obvious and off putting. We met Hannibal. Wish we would have booked the seance, but alas, we ran out of time. He was a hoot to talk to.

The entire outside of the hotel is torn up and under construction. There are very few parking spots available, and they are not reserved for hotel guests. We had to park at the Aspire Hotel and walk all of our luggage and belongings up to check in. We stayed in Room 215, which becomes extremely hot in warm weather because the sun sets directly on that side of the hotel (see photos provided). Since the hotel was built in 1909, there is no A/C. When we spoke with the front desk, we were told that once the sun set and temperatures dropped, opening the windows should cool the room down. Unfortunately, the room only cooled from 82 degrees to 79 degrees, and we could not sleep comfortably. Sunday morning, we requested a fan, and a box fan was delivered. Sunday night, the room finally cooled to 74 degrees -- but not until around 5 a.m. Paying $400 per night to be that uncomfortable was very disappointing. We recommend not staying at the hotel until construction is complete. If visiting during warmer months, make sure your room faces the front side of the hotel to avoid the intense afternoon and evening heat The bright spot of the stay was the staff at the restaurants and coffee shop, who were wonderful as always.

Close to downtown, beautiful nature sounds, easy to find, lovely room with a view to the river. We didn't really get any customer service experience since they give you a code for your door instead of a key card. Can't comment too much on that. The room was great, it had cups for water and coffee, plates, cutlery, a cutting board, and toaster, a fridge and well equipped for a short stay where you can bring your own snacks/food. Had a lovely time there.

It's a beautiful setting, but several issues impacted my experience. First, I felt the advertising was a bit misleading. I saw a pool listed on Orbitz, but I discovered there isn't a pool anywhere on the property. Instead, there are two above-ground hot tubs. I went to the one on the second level, but I found climbing the narrow metal stairs with wet feet to be a bit dangerous. I also noticed that the rooms are slightly dated and showing their age. In my room, the curtain rod was actually falling out of the wall, which told me they need to keep up with better maintenance. You should also know there is no lobby or front desk here; I just received a code via text message and entered it to get into my room. While efficient, it felt a bit impersonal. My biggest complaint, however, was the construction noise. I didn't realize they are currently expanding the inn and building two new buildings on the same lot. Unfortunately, my room was right next to the construction site, and I had to deal with loud noise all morning. I think this place has a lot of potential once the upgrades are done, but between the maintenance issues and the noise, I didn't find it to be the relaxing getaway I was hoping for.

So leading up to our stay I stayed in contact with the front desk Katie, letting her know it's our anniversary weekend and she was the sweetest. When I say this lady went above and beyond and didn't have to, she did! When we arrived, first off there is only 12 rooms, and each room has an actual key!! This place is literally nestled on a side of a mountain w other little resort around. The check in process was so cute. Katie checked us in gave us some yummy cookies and I even bought a cute 4seasons inn sticker to put on my car. The room we booked was a private suite w a private spa grill and seating area. There is seating area by the grill and by the spa. And it's also on the 2nd floor just an fyi if you're wheel chair bound or whatever limitations you may have. So we go into our room and she literally decorated the whole room for us for our anniversary and had a bottle of wine w two wine glasses and fire wood already in our room for us to start a fire. The room was VERY spacious. Has a kitchen that worked a full coffee maker. A good size fridge and the freezer worked amazing. The toiletries that come w the room smell just fantasists. The best morning I woke up to wild turkeys on the ground just gobbling away and elk and deer. There is a community grills and a spa and a few other amenities. The thing I love about this place is it's literally less than 5 mins from the National park and far enough away to be secluded but 8 mins from EVERYTHING in town. And in Estes park there is so much cramed in that town! I LOVED everything. Not a thing was bad about my whole stay.
