So this review is gonna be lengthy because of how fabulous our stay was and how the staff went above and beyond for our anniversary weekend. So leading up to our stay I stayed in contact with the front desk Katie, letting her know it's our anniversary weekend and she was the sweetest. When I say this lady went above and beyond and didn't have to, she did! When we arrived, first off there is only 12 rooms, and each room has an actual key!! This place is literally nestled on a side of a mountain w other little resort around. The check in process was so cute. Katie checked us in gave us some yummy cookies and I even bought a cute 4seasons inn sticker to put on my car. The room we booked was a private suite w a private spa grill and seating area. There is seating area by the grill and by the spa. And it's also on the 2nd floor just an fyi if you're wheel chair bound or whatever limitations you may have. So we go into our room and she literally decorated the whole room for us for our anniversary and had a bottle of wine w two wine glasses and fire wood already in our room for us to start a fire. The room was VERY spacious. Has a kitchen that worked a full coffee maker. A good size fridge and the freezer worked amazing. The toiletries that come w the room smell just fantasists. The best morning I woke up to wild turkeys on the ground just gobbling away and elk and deer. There is a community grills and a spa and a few other amenities. The thing I love about this place is it's literally less than 5 mins from the National park and far enough away to be secluded but 8 mins from EVERYTHING in town. And in Estes park there is so much cramed in that town! I LOVED everything. Not a thing was bad about my whole stay. read more

I stayed here recently and have no complaints. I loved having a fireplace in the room, and it had all of the amenities that we needed. I stayed in room 2, and the ceiling fan was broken, however, the guy at the front desk brought us a floor fan so we were happy. We used the hot tub every night we were there, and were very impressed with how quiet the entire area was, even with no vacancy. We were a late arrival and the hosts were nice enough to leave the key and instructions for us. The water pressure was great, and the complimentary conditioner and shampoo smelled great. We also loved the turkey visitors each morning. Would definitely stay here again if I'm the area. read more

We were leaving a terrible experience at a previous hotel and found this little gem. Mark was a WONDERFUL host along with Diva, one of three wonderful onsite pooches that were also available for "dog love". Mark's hospitality was lovely - in the form of chocolate chip cookies fresh baked daily, and the room amenities - coffee, tea, lotion and soaps were marvelous. In spite of being "off season" and fresh snow on the ground, the room was clean, warm and comfortable and the environment was enchanting. The location was less than 5 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park, Fall River gate, and the 4 seasons provided a 15% discount at the Trailhead restaurant. I will definitely be returning to this inn when I am in the area next. read more

They are just down the street from the rear entrance to the RMNP which took us less than 5min to enter vs 30min through the front entrance. I turned to Yelp, I got burned. That's a first. What do I mean by that? My room wasn't at all as what I would call four stars. We're all of these reviews from along time ago?!? I'm not a hotel.com fan anyways, but after researching the Yelp reviews, I decided against my intuition and booked this room around $100 for one weeknight. It reminds me more of a motor inn than a cabin. If I had to guess, I would say there was about 13 rooms. We had room #4. It was up the steps and past a couple of rooms. My first red flag was the old fashioned door key. Is that safe? Couldn't someone have stayed a made a copy of the key? Can I get a deadbolt? An inside chain lock? Nope. Another unsafe observation was that as you walk by the rooms you can see straight in each room you pass by. Cheap curtains covering the glass entry door, beside another full sized window, just was not enough privacy. Plus, when you leave, you have to maneuver around the closed curtain. A gas fire place added to the "this isn't so bad, at first glance" opinion. Then I looked around... the 1970sish decor was not what I was expecting. From the outside, it looked new... so, don't let the outside fool you. The worst part... the bed. The hardest, most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. One small, flat pillow for each of us! The sheets were gray and had dark lint all over them. All of the towels were white, so I'm not sure what else they washed with the bed linens to create the dark lint. I literally slept 3 hours. The shower water temperature went from the set temp to hot scalding, with no in between or warning. Dirty washcloth hung over the shower curtain... I was hoping to escape the petri dish bed, but no luck in the bathroom. The sign at the office indicated they would be in at 7:30am. We waited around until 9 and finally left. There was no key drop box, so we left the key in the room and because you couldn't lock it without the key, we had to leave it unlocked. Everything about this place was just super weird. read more

I had pretty high hopes for this place due to good reviews but was a bit let down upon check in. We stayed during winter and there was some snow daily, however none of the sidewalks or stairs were shoveled. We had to carry out suitcases through 4 inches of snow and up stairs that looked like they hadnt ever been cleared off. The shitty motel we stayed at before had better clearer paths. We booked a room with a patio, but come to find out both patio chairs were completely broken, and of course the patio had so much snow on it you couldnt open the door (probably a week or twos worth of snow - not just from the previous night or anything). The fan in our room didnt work at all. The office was closed upon our arrival, so they left our keys out front unattended, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable/unsafe as anyone could have had access to them before our arrival. We were excited to sit by the fire outside, but of course, it was also covered in weeks worth of snow rendering all of the "great" things about this spot unusable. The location would be great for summertime, but it sucked in the winter time. Wouldnt recommend coming in winter unless you want to shovel your way into your room and not use any of the amenities. read more

Cozy space, well-appointed for celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. Loved having a fireplace with wood and fire starters! Enjoyed watching the river stream that ran through the property. Disappointed by pink and black mold on shower curtain liner, cracked toilet seat, black stained bottom mattress sheet and dank, mildewy smelling hot tub. We reported these issues and they where remedied the same day. Loud neighbors above and alongside our unit were disruptive. They did not adhere to quiet hours policy. Water temp warm, not hot, and pressure kind of low. Close location to Rockies entrance and downtown. Loved watching the hummingbirds at the feeders. Welcoming staff. Would probably stay at another location next visit but this place overall was fine. I would give 3.75 stars read more

Positive reviews led me to this outstanding establishment. As many before had mentioned, this place is a gem. I was thoroughly impressed with the delightful, helpful staff that I've encountered, as well as the complimentary can of Coors Light upon arrival (what a nice bonus!). The room was so nice and comfortable; especially that bed. Oh man, I haven't slept like that in a while! Ah, the room was impeccably clean as well; always a plus. They're located just a quick drive outside of the town, as well as Rocky Mountain National Park; very convenient. Staying in Estes Park for the first time, I'm elated that I chose this place. To be quite honest, it was so nice here (especially the caliber of customer service - which goes a long way), that I won't even bother checking out other spots on subsequent visits to the area. Super cozy! On the mountain, you can watch elks from your room's glass door. I received a free bottle of wine cause I booked directly through their website. Nice perk! A wonderful place located along a rushing river, in a motel/inn heavy section of Estes Park. As this was my first time in Estes Park, I can't compare the 4 Seasons Inn with other spots, but I wouldn't know why anyone would go anywhere else. Everything was perfect here. 3 miles from the National Park is a plus and it's far enough away from the busy downtown section to be quiet. But downtown is an easy 2 mile walk down the hill. The couple that owns this place is rightfully proud of it and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. There is a communal hot tub, in addition to private room hot tubs, but I never saw anyone use them (and I wasn't going to be the first, lol). And the room was well appointed with regular size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, skin cream, and a regular coffee maker with a regular size of coffee. The smoke detector did go off one morning after I took a shower (steam caused it to go off) but the owners took care of it right away. I know there is another review for the 4 Seasons, and it sounds very fishy and appears to be written by someone who didn't stay there at all...but here is a review from someone who DID stay there. My wife and I booked a room here for 4 night for our anniversary. We were greeted by the owner and checked in to our room. The furnishing were country quaint and comfortable; fireplace in the room, television, couch, queen bed. All were very good. The view is FABULOUS - right on the Fall River, you can hear it rushing all day (which is very soothing!). Nothing beat sitting in the hot tub and listening to the mountain river flow. On our second night, the owner's wife brought us an anniversary treat of strawberry lemonade and strawberry shortcake, which were awesome! Overall we really enjoyed our stay here (aside from record temperatures the first two nights and no a/c!, but we managed). The only major problem - the bed was super firm! Had trouble getting to sleep the first two nights, but otherwise a very nice place. read more

Zero communication at check-in or check-out. No drinks or food available like other reviews suggested at check-in and had to ask about it. You can buy a Pepsi from the vending machine out front for $1.50 a bottle. Room review: Awful smell in room from who knows what even with the bathroom and kitchen area windows open upon arrival. Had to leave winds open and it was cold due to it. Stain on floor between bed and table. No helpful guest book on wifi info, hot tub use, fireplace use or safety concerns of local area. Uncomfortable Queen bed. Scratchy sheets. Gutter trash on top of hot tub made it not inviting to use. No fan in room or bathroom. Loud as all hell to try to sleep. We didn't pay for a quiet location at $175 a night to have a herd of elephants over our heads at night. Furniture removal and construction in the room next to us during the day. No notice that this was going to happen. Grounds Review: Horrible, small parking lot with cars parked every which way. Unattractive sandbags along the fence and near the stream to shore things up. Very narrow bridge to drive across for entry onto property. Truly disappointed with 4 Seasons Inn. It did not live up to our expectations from previous reviews and we left a full day early due to it. HORRIBLE experience and we did not even stay at this hotel. Hoping this helps others trying to stay in a different state without knowing. The 4 Seasons Inn at Estes Park in CO was one of the worst experiences that my husband and I have ever had traveling. We made a reservation on April 6th. The GM Mark Matson sent an email stating our reservation was confirmed. On April 9th, we emailed stating that we needed to cancel our reservation due to plans changing and please accept this as our cancellation notification. The day we arrived in Estes Park on June 4th we received a phone call from Mark Matson stating that if we did not check in before 6:00pm that afternoon, there would be an additional charge to check-in any later. We explained to him that we cancelled our reservation back in April and were staying at a different hotel is Estes Park. Mark persistently kept telling my husband that they charged my card back in April for all 4 nights, which they did not. Per their policy, 4 Seasons Inn requires a deposit to be charged AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION. This deposit is equal to the total cost of a one (1) night stay or 50% of the cost for stays longer then two (2) nights. The remaining balance for your reservation total will be due UPON ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN. My account (the card Mark had on file) was never charged any amount back in April or that would have flagged us then to DOUBLE check the cancellation situation. Mark was VERY rude, impolite, and short with my husband. Mark explained he charged the card two months ago and that if he cannot sell the room, the charges would stay. We explained that we cancelled back in April, and nothing was charged. As we were speaking with him, we see the charges of $974.18 hit my account. The only information Mark would provide is that the needs to "sell the room" before he can do anything. We tried to call the bank to stop/dispute the charge but being a debit card that was not possible. Once that amount hit, all our spending money in CO was gone. We tried calling Mark back that afternoon, but it was 6:00 pm on the dot so he did not answer. We called back first thing in the morning and expressed how unprofessional all of this was and that the charge needed to be voided. Mark kept saying he didn't have to take this from us and stated that if I canceled my card, he would take us to court. I got on the phone with Mark and asked to speak to an owner or his boss and he said, I am the boss, who he is not, he is the general manager. There are 3 owners, and we were not able to speak with any of them. Mark's last words to us on the phone were, I do not have to take this from you and hung up. We tried calling back asking for confirmation or signatures where we authorized this payment but were sent to voicemail. Shortly after leaving messages, my husband informed him that we have emails stating everything, including the cancellation notice. Five minutes after my husband leaving this voicemail, the 4 Seasons Inn sent another cancellation notice. The whole situation could have been avoided had Mark Matson acted more professional in the important role he has at that establishment. We are currently in the process of disputing this charge and had to cancel the card. I hope that this bad review does fall into the correct hands. When trying to find someone who owns the facility it was challenging, only the info email (which clearly Mark monitors) and two phone numbers which were the numbers we called numerous times and were hung up on or sent to voicemail. As a business owner, I would hope you would take some sort of action in bettering your establishment. For those of you who have not stayed there before, or have and possibly enjoyed it, keep an eye on your accounts. Mark may charge things that he is not authorized to charge. read more

If the review was strictly on the service and friendliness of the owners, it would be a five star rating. They were awesome. The location is peaceful, right next to the mountain stream, but for us it was a little too removed from downtown. There's nothing fancy about the rooms but they are comfy and clean and, lets face it, most of us don't hang around in our rooms when we're somewhere as beautiful as Estes. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean-and comfy place to stay, I recommend 4 Seasons. read more

I had such a nice experience here that I decided to make it my first yelp review. My companion and I booked here one day in advance after deciding to drive up to Estes Park on New Year's Day. The price was an absolute steal so we weren't expecting much, but we ended up having a wonderful stay. The owners couldn't have been nicer, the room (one of the executive suites) was clean, spacious and homey, and the hot tub was a warm and welcome retreat from the day we had spent hiking in the snow in Rocky Mountain National Park. Our reservation was waiting on the counter when we walked in and we were greeted with a glass of wine. When we went down to the hot tub (the communal one, I know there are rooms with them too), one of the owners noticed we were out there and brought us fresh towels. That was actually the moment I decided to write this review. It's close to both downtown Estes Park and RMNP. We came to Estes Park for a wedding and found this gem online instead of where the wedding was being held and what a great place! Everyone was so friendly, including Presley the Bassett Hound. We spent the two "non-wedding" evenings sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of the Fall River. This was one of the most relaxing hotels I have ever found. You can walk (although it would be a long walk) to the night life area of Estes Park. Bring a power strip if you want to keep your devices charged up. Outlets are at a premium. read more

She turned on the fire pit prior to our late arrival and offered us blankets, drinks, and snacks. It is very conveniently located in Estes Park. We stayed at this lovely motel for three days over the Highlands Festival in Estes Park. When we arrived and had checked in on the Thursday, we were unloading our vehicle and one of the owners offered us a glass of wine or a beer which was a nice, unexpected treat! She then proceeded to inform us that she had s'mores ingredients available for use with our deck fire-pit, to just ask any time. Every day we were there, they came around in the evening offering beer or wine. Everything we requested was addressed immediately. The room we had was on the top floor with a private hot tub which we enjoyed immensely; it was well-kept and clean. The room was quaint and comfortable and stocked with everything you'd need for an extended stay (kitchenette fully stocked). We were given plenty of wood for the fireplace, a warm welcome, and totally loved our stay there. Only suggestion is the bed was really really uncomfortable, and the price quoted on line went up considerably when we actually arrived, but it *was* a big tourist weekend... Good Friday was the best day of my entire life. Driving up from Kansas we were very kindly greeted when arrived. Cute room with a fireplace And a little balcony to over look the mts and a fire pit where people where enjoying their night. My boyfriend got on one knee that night in not only the wonderful Rockie mountains but a super friendly and comfy inn. The owners and their cousin Tim where So hospitable!! Brought out us a congratulations glass of wine while sitting in the jacuzzi. Gave us great advise on places to check out and made us feel like WE were part of their family. I have nothing but awesome things to say about 4 Seasons Inn and its owners. I wanted a nice economical place, and the price for this was awesome. Since it is off season, we got 3 nights for the price of 2 which came out to $60/night. We stayed in Room 3 which was quite spacious and included a queen bed, pull-out sofa, fridge, microwave and private balcony overlooking Fall River. The owners were always in the office and offered us snacks, wine, and water. We also used the outdoor hot tub which overlooks the river. It is convenient to town and Rocky Mtn National Park, and I would definitely stay here if I ever visit Estes Park again. read more

This place was perfect! My girlfriend and I loved it so much we came back 3 days later and stayed here again. We went inside the jacuzzi and were surrounded by 3 elks feeding on the grass and drinking from the river that flows a few feet away. The next morning we woke up to about 20 wild turkeys roaming outside. The rooms were very cozy, homey and super clean. The owners were very nice and chill. I received a call three days before i have to leave to Colorado and told my room had to be cancelled and my money refunded. I booked these rooms over two and a half months ago but they are just now calling me. Over 24 hours later I have yet to receive this money which i need for a replacement room. I am stress to death trying to figure out a new place to stay and how I'm going to pay for it and only have two days to do so. The four seasons has completely fucked me over and ruined the only vacation me and my spouse have had a chance to take. I stopped at this Inn by chance because I wanted to get close to Rocky Mountain National Park for hiking the following morning. I pulled in when I saw the vacancy sign. I am so happy that I did too. The couple running the place were so nice. I was offered beer, wine, and homemade muffins at check-in. That was a first for me. I started a new thing of checking for bed bugs when first arriving at a new hotel after watching a disturbing video online and even though this place didn't show any signs of having problems, I checked anyway. Of course they were clean but what I noticed immediately was that the sheets were like butter...so soft and heavenly...I wanted to go to bed right away. This Inn is right on the river and the sound of the rushing water right outside my door was so peaceful and relaxing. I slept with the back balcony door open so I could fall asleep listening to that sound. My room, and I assume all the rooms, had an electric fireplace and I used it. So cozy. It just added to the relaxation. I am from south Florida and we don't get to enjoy fireplaces. I didn't get a chance to go in the big hot tub they had on the deck because I didn't bring a bathing suit, but I thought it was pretty cool. My stay was only for one night and I got up quite early to get a jump on the tourists at the park. I didn't get to tell the couple how much I enjoyed my stay at their Inn. I hope they read this and know how much I appreciated how beautiful and clean their Inn is. I will definitely come back the next time I am passing through. This hotel is absolutely amazing. After a long drive from Tennessee we were greeted with kindness and the best hotel I have ever stayed at. This hotel's location is beautifully surrounded with nature and mountains. It is a quick drive into estes park or the mountains. The room was nice, bed was excellent, and the extremely clean. The fireplace was an added bonus. We used the hot tub almost every night, and even staying 4 nights, we left feeling like we would never find a better place to stay for vacation. There are 2 dogs that live at the property, Presley quickly became one of our favorite things about the trip. Greeting us every morning, playing and wanting pettings. Toni greeted us with a big happy smile when we came in. She was extremely friendly & definitely has that Texas charm! We were lucky to grab her last available room & when we get back to this area, this will be the only place we want to stay. The rooms are cozy & have everything you might need. You can hear the water from the river running from your room. We left our back door open so we could sleep with it in the background. There's a screen door so you're not leaving it all open. We had a balcony to ourselves & were very comfortable there. There was a fireplace in our room that would be perfect for a romantic winter evening. Toni also mentioned that there was a hot tub available, but we didn't have time to try it since we were out late in Rocky Mountain National Park. By the way, this place is located right down the street from the Fall River Road entrance so double plus!!! All in all it was a wonderful stay. We highly recommend for adults. We stayed on Valentine's weekend, so they offered us each a free glass of wine around dinnertime. To top it off, when we opened the door to the balcony in the morning, there was a whole group of elk drinking from the river next to the building. It was awesome.
