This cozy little cabin is amazing! There is a private hot tub right off your patio. The inside is like a little apartment. It has a nice fireplace. It has its own little kitchenette so if you just want to cook from there, you can do that rather than going out to a restaurant. It was nice and clean. Such beautiful views and nice and quiet. We will definitely be booking another fun little getaway here. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I wish there were more than five stars. I could give this place. read more

I stayed in #15B. The suite was very clean. The shower was amazing and there were plenty of towels, tv was easy to use, all the kitchen appliances were nice as well as the dishes. The fireplace was a bit cheesy but it put out the perfect amount of heat. The small balcony was nice overlooking the River. I took off two stars because of the door blind, which let too much light in during the night, and the steady noise/hum that came from the bathroom which was at the top of the bed. There was also steady noise from the building across from the room. It was either the ac or the metal vent on the wall. I didn't investigate. These two things were only bothersome at night when you were trying to sleep. I believe a good nights sleep is essential. Would I recommend, yes, but I would not stay in this room again. read more

Peaceful Riverside Retreat - A Perfect Getaway! We stayed in a beautiful unit that was part of a triplex right on the river in Estes Park, and it was everything we could've hoped for. The room was spacious and spotless, with both an indoor jacuzzi and a private outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the river. Sitting in the warm jacuzzi while it snowed around us was pure magic. The room also had a kitchen area, a nice shower, and cozy robes that made it feel like a spa experience. We loved how clean and well-kept everything was. Management handled everything seamlessly--we didn't need any in-person contact. They texted all the info ahead of time and checked in to make sure we were all set. One of our favorite moments was sitting in bed, watching the snow fall through the windows. It was so peaceful and romantic. We would absolutely stay here again--highly recommended for a quiet, relaxing escape in the mountains. read more

We were not told that there was someone living above our cabin. He had the window open our entire stay and peered into the hot tub. NOT AT ALL OK. We could smell the pot he was smoking, the food and the coffee, not to mention it sounded like he was moving furniture late at night. No one checked on us our entire stay. No offer of fresh towels or robes or anything else. Hospitality is not a #1 priority here. The couch was loaded with crumbs and litter and the carpet smelled really bad and was not clean at all. The hot tub was cloudy and there was trash outside our cabin. Upkeep was not good at all. I probably would not stay here again for the price. I sent a message to the owner that went unanswered. If you want a private experience......this is not it. read more

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was fantastic! Cabin #8 was the perfect size for 2 and there was a huge snowstorm that made the cabin even more cozy. The hot tub was wonderful, the area was lovely! My only real complaints are how uncomfortable the beds are. To my husband, they were fine. I could not stay asleep due to just how firm and stiff the bed was. The pillows were huge, which like I said, to my husband was totally fine. Overall I would absolutely come back!! This place checked all the boxes for a mountain stay. Babbling stream yards from the deck. Recently remodeled and nicely decorated. Spacious room with dining and sitting areas. Fireplace. Decently-equipped kitchen with range, microwave and dishwasher. Weber gas grill. Private Jacuzzi. Spa tub inside. Friendly family-owned and run establishment. The owner came out and got the jacuzzi jets working the second evening in 20-30 minutes. The sleeping alcove can only fit a queen bed though. Sometimes in traveling, my wife and I live dangerously. We came to Estes Park with no accommodations. Best idea we had for this part of our trip. After reading every review possible, we pulled into this location and liked the outside and closeness to the Park very much! We were greeted by a very friendly young man inside and he answered all our questions and concerns! We immediately chose this place to stay! The bed was super comfy, the fire place was perfect and the windows opened up so we could enjoy all the sounds of the wind and the creek throughout our stay! I was going crazy in the city with COVID-19 consuming my day to day life. A coworker told me this spot was the place to visit...man--was she right! I stayed in cottage 2 and was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and the amenities. We had access to a private hot tub, a gas grill, kitchenette, jacuzzi tub, and fire place (in suite). This was the perfect social distancing set up tucked away beside the Fall River and just minutes away from downtown Estes Park. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Nice and clean. Next to the river. All of the necessities were provided. The stove, dishwasher, grill, and hot tub worked great for us after hiking. Big window and sliding door to let air flow in and also the serenading sounds of the river flowing. What a wonderful stay we had at Stonebrook Inn on Fall River, Estes Park, Colorado! On a whim, we drove to Estes Park last Saturday, April 17, 2021. Just west of town we saw some cute cabins, woodsy, quaint. We did not have reservations but they had one room available, #6. This is our new favorite. So clean! The little cabin was actually quite spacious, and "chic rustic." It had a lovely, large kitchen, a perfect living room and everything else we could possibly need. The fireplace kept us warm. There were plenty of blankets. It was cold and snow was still on the ground from a recent storm. We slept so well. It was quiet. We felt safe. It really is our new favorite place to stay. read more

We came to Stonebrook for the weekend to celebrate a birthday and enjoy some quiet fishing on the river. Stonebrook exceeded our expectations. Our cabin (#2) was spacious and clean! The proprietors are friendly and seem to go out of their way to make you comfortable. Simon was awesome and adds to the charm of this property. Fishing here is a peaceful experience and though other cabins are nearby, it's quiet and everyone does their own thing. The river running through this property is open to all guests and the chairs and hammock along the river are a nice touch. This is definitely a gem! read more

Estes park is currently evacuated, and there is a fire marching toward the city and property. Our reservation is in 2 weeks. We attempted to cancel and were told that "We are not cancelling free this far out. You can Check back if conditions change." The Rocky Mountain forest and estes park will be far from a good place to take a trip by then, unless you are on a 2020 dumpster fire trips. The unwillingness of the proprietors to release reservations means I will not be willing to ever visit their facility. read more

Room: 10A Hubby and I had a chance for a last minute get-away to Estes Park in early April. We only had 2 week notice, and managed to find this place on Hotels.com for less than $400 for 3 nights. It was far nicer than the pictures and description on their website and on Hotels.com. On our last trip we rented a house so we could do laundry and cook our own meals for the week, but we only had 3 days to spend in Estest Park and found this place. We will probably be coming back here again. We stayed in 10A, which had a small kitchen, living area, small table, TV, fire place, private deck with grill and table, jacuzzi tub, full bathroom, and a king bed downstairs in the bedroom. This room backs up to Fall River, so the deck overlooks it, and at the bottom of the stairs is a door to walk out to it. It was sorta a cross between a hotel and an apartment. It was far more spacious than we were expecting! The bed was very comfortable, and everything was extremely clean. It was in a great location for visits to RMNP, and very quiet. The staff was also very nice. We had a heat issue for the first two days where the heat was blasting and it was about 80F on the top floor, but luckily if was fine downstairs where the bed was. We notified the front office, and I guess they fixed it b/c day 3 was fine. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars and not 5 is that the kitchen equipment was very poor and limited. The only non-stick pan was very small and so scratched up it was a health hazard and should be thrown away. It had lost it's non-stick quality, so something as simple as making scrambled eggs was a disaster. There are not enough pans/utensils to make a full meal, but if you grill, you could probably get away with making a side in the kitchen and the main entree on the grill. It's not too bad for what a great deal this place it, but it's worth noting that cooking is rather difficult and should be limited to very basic and simile things. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay, and we will likely book here again for quick trips to Estes Park. read more

Zero reviews in 2020 - seems very odd. Nearly a year before anything has been posted on Yelp. My parents are in Estes and drove by the resort. They were appalled at the upkeep and the difference in the website pictures versus the reality. Not sure how this is #1 in Estes when no reviews since July 2019. Very concerning. I called to cancel - $100. No exceptions. Will never be staying here and don't recommend anyone else does. Too bad. read more

This place is always amazing. We have stayed here several times, in several different rooms and we have never had a complaint. The owner, Paula, is very accommodating and she even supplies a DVD library for those lazy nights where you want to stay in, have some good laughs and relax. We stayed in river suite number two this weekend and the kitchenette in our room had everything we needed to grill some steaks and side dishes. There is a grill, equipped with grilling utensils, jacuzzi, jetted tub in the room and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I have stayed at several other places in Estes Park, but this one is the best. The prices are reasonable for the area and the location is fantastic. read more

This was our first trip to Estes Park and we loved the area! Just stay here!!! It is on a river, the cabins are clean and equipped, their are hot tubs and Mike is tremendous! I cannot say enough about the place. We only spent two nights, but we were able to completely relax and unwind. The cabins are right outside of "town", no less than a 5 minute drive. We loved going out to grab food and sitting in our cabin with the fireplace going, making cookies and watching tv! The property backs up to the Rocky Mountain National Forest and you are able to climb/hike up to trails. It isn't the easiest climb/hike, but definitely doable. Mike was super knowledgeable about the area and had wonderful recommendations of things to do, places to eat, etc. We would definitely come back! read more

This is a great little get away spot. Far enough away from town to get away from the tourist spots, but close enough to make a run to the store if you need to. We had a very enjoyable time. The cabins were very nice and they were remodeling quite a few of them to make them even better. One of the cool features of this place is each cabin is about 20 yards from the edge of the river. So for you fly fishermen out there it doesn't get much better. I spent a lot of time out there casting flies. Another great aspect of this place is you are just down the road from two entrances to RMNP (Rocky Mountain National Park). Bonus! The amenities were great and the staff was very attentive to the guests needs. I would definitely return. read more

This place was great and the manager was super friendly. It's a few miles away from the downtown area, but it was kinda nice to be secluded a little bit. We stayed in Cabin 5 and yea ideally it would have been nice to have a king size bed or have the outdoor jacuzzi right on our deck rather than down the stairs to a fenced off area but that's just being picky. Truly the only real negative about this place were the thin walls (like very thin). So if you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend (or if you're "loud", this is an adults-only place after all). We have stayed in many cabins in Estes Park throughout the years and this one is our new FAVORITE!! We were in Cabin #8 which has been remodeled and is very charming. There's a private hot tub that overlooks the Fall River and the cabin floor plan is great, too! I had to call the front desk a couple different times (even before checking in) and they couldn't have been more friendly or accomodating! As another reviewer mentioned, it is a great location - on the river, close to both town and Rocky Mountain National Park. The only thing I 'thought' was an issue was we had no cell phone service in our cabin. At first this was frustrating, but I realized it turned out to be a wonderful thing and added even more enjoyment to our getaway! read more

We stayed in #3. At first glance when you walk in the door it appears very clean & nice. Spacious with everything you need. However there are several areas that need taken care of ASAP. The caulking in the shower around the shower pan is stained with mildew and black. The vent fan is covered with dust.The room slants and sinks down as you walk towards the sink in the kitchenette. The base cabinets are slanting toward the trash can area. The sub-floor seems damaged, slopes down towards the corner where the trash cans are. When you step in certain areas the hardwood floor gives so much you think you are going to bust through. Because the lower cabinets have sunken there is not any caulking between the tile back-splash and the counter top... just a gaping hole along the counter. Also the bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The sheets were very rough and scratchy. The pillows were terrible, flat and smelled of cheap cologne. The wall between #2 and #3 is so thin that we could hear our neighbors walking around, laughing, and their alarm clock. Spent $179 per night for two nights and felt like we were staying in a budget motel. We would not stay there again. Update - 2/23/17 Just received a phone call from the owner Paula. Did she apologize for the poor experience we had, did she offer to make it up to us on a future stay, was she gracious and understanding... NO! She basically belittled me and told me I wasn't behaving like an adult by not coming directly to her and by giving her business a bad review. She told me the people of Estes Park would be leery of me because of the poor review. She told me she wasn't concerned about the one bad review affecting her business. Great little cabins. Wife and I went during the winter and was lucky enough to have a thick snowfall for the holidays. Rooms with the jacuzzi (7) were amazing for cold winter nights. Any room honestly would fair you the same. The scenery isn't too spectacular around the cabins. Sleep number beds were a treat and the proximity of the downtown was relaxing after walking for hours, hiking or window shopping. All in all, great trip I would recommend it more if it was a little cheaper but still a great experience. read more

Exceptional resort! The only lodge that my husband and I stay at with our yearly trip to Estes Park. The staff is always extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms are warm, cozy and very clean. Has a wonderfully quaint feeling and ideal location to both town and the Rocky Mountain National Park. It snowed very heavily one night during our stay. The next morning, the staff was up shoveling snow not only on the walk ways to and from the office but all the way up to our doorstep; talk about service! read more

We just returned from a very relaxing 3 nights at StoneBrook, and I'm already trying to figure out when to return! My boyfriend and I decided to stay in Colorado for Christmas rather than brave the airports and travel stress during the holidays. This was exactly the unwinding I needed. To start, our cabin (#2) was probably the most secluded, situated at the end of the property. Our private deck and outdoor hot tub faced the Fall River and a little snow-covered mountainside. The unit itself had a comfy king bed, hardwood floors, jacuzzi tub, French doors, gas fireplace, and kitchenette, as well as a propane BBQ grill outside. The pictures do not do it justice -- it is even cozier and cuter than I pictured. The amenities were nice -- we were able to stock up at the Safeway in town and enjoy some meals in the room; we also brought a few bottles of wine and our own coffee to make (they supply Folgers in the room, but we're coffee snobs!). Of course we enjoyed a few meals in Estes Park and cocktails up at the historic Stanley Hotel one night, but having the flexibility to stay in was very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed unplugging and relaxing during our stay, lounging in front of the fireplace and in the hot tub. Note: the fireplace is what heats the unit, and it gives off more than enough heat! Very cozy. The property is a quick drive to Rocky Mountain National Park, a must-see in Estes. Mike recommended a great ski shop in town where we rented snowshoes for the day and enjoyed Bear Lake and nearby trails in RMNP. StoneBrook is also close to downtown Estes Park, which is a fun but touristy strip of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Some other reviewers commented on the thin walls -- we noticed that as well one night when we could hear our neighbors snoring. It wasn't really an issue for us (we're both heavy sleepers and were so relaxed otherwise), but there isn't really any white-noise given the unit doesn't have an A/C and the heating comes from the gas fireplace. Not an issue for us, but something to consider. Also, this place is adults-only , which was great for us -- added to the quiet! But know before you go. Although we completely enjoyed our stay, a small few touches would make this place truly luxurious: 1) Robes would be nice, especially with the hot tub and jacuzzi. We packed ours, but it would be nice to include 2 in the room. The same goes for upgrading the towels -- even getting some nicer towels at TJ Maxx or a similar discount store would increase the feeling of luxury. On the plus side: I will say it was nice to have pool towels for the hot tub in addition to the bath towels. 2) More upscale bath products. Again, I packed my own toiletries, but the included soaps/shampoo/etc were very run-of-the-mill. Having more luxurious toiletries would again add to the luxury of the stay. Maybe using local products and having them for sale in the office? Same goes for the orange Softsoap handsoap in the kitchen. Again, the above did not detract from our stay, but would increase the cushiness of the property. We truly loved our stay and hope to be back again! read more

I was a bit worried as we pulled up to the resort, judging a book by its cover... But we were very pleasantly surprised by what we found inside! My husband and I stayed for two nights, but I wouldn't have minded staying for a few weeks. If we do go back (I'm pretty sure we will), we'll definitely opt for a different cabin, as ours (#3) wasn't in a great location. Our "private" hot tub had a view of the parking lot and our neighbors' cabin...not the Fall River, as advertised. My biggest complaint is there was a large jacuzzi in our room, but not enough hot water to fill it! So, after taking a lukewarm bath, we found there was zero hot water left to take a shower. Taking an icy shower while it's only in the 40s outside was not ideal. read more

This place is awesome! Very cute, cozy, clean, charming and comfortable. The place is well equipped with everything you need (cookware, toiletries, entertainment) - I was very surprised and pleased. The bed is very comfortable by the way! The electric fireplace is awesome as well! It warms up the entire place quickly and make the place very comfortable and cozy. The resort is located near great restaurants, breweries, cute boutiques, gas stations, grocery stores, and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as it was very lovely and convenient. My husband and I have been going to Stonebrook Resort for years and always loved it until last year! We had so many issues, nothing would work and they actually apologized and offered us a big discount for the next year since we go for our anniversary every year (they said they would call us in January go over what the charges will be and we said ok) we were ok with that. So this years stay we got a notification from our credit card saying a $270.28 Charge was made!! This was August 29, 2020 5 months early! We right away called over and over and NO ONE WOULD CALL US BACK. Then finally I left a not so nice voicemail and they called us back this is now months later. They told us they are new owners and no one called I told them I could pull my phone records, then absolutely refused to give us our discount/credit and we couldn't cancel or we would lose what they had charged us. So we go this weekend for our 2 night stay and was charged a total of $540.56 (MIND YOU THIS WAS OVER $100 MORE THEN THE USUAL COST)!! IT WAS NASTY THERE WAS MAKEUP ON OUR PILLOWS,FOOD ON THE DISHS, NASTY STUFF IN THE INDOOR JACUZZI, THE SHOWER HAD BUILDUP IN IT, THE FRIDGE SMELT AS IF SOMETHING DIED IN IT, THE BBQ UTENSILS HAD FOOD ON THEM, THE DISH SCRUBBY LOOKED YEARS OLD AND SMELT,UNDERNEATH THE BED HADN'T BEEN CLEANED IN WHO KNOWS HOW LONG, THE STOVE WOULD GO IN AND OUT,THEY WOULDN'T RESPOND WHEN WE WOULD CALL OR TEXT AS THEY ASKED! read more
