Our view from our room with someone fly fishing.

This place is stellar! It's not the most modern place but it is well kept and so beautiful! I totally recommend staying here when you come to Estes Park. It's exceptional.

This quaint home away from home suite is set on a quiet river and the beauty of Estes Park surrounds you. All of the conveniences were included and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We were religious Stanley Hotel goers each trip to town, but this stay changed all of that. Highly recommend!

Wow! Just wow! We definitely look forward to going back. First, the scenery was amazing, and, I know, Boulder Brook really had nothing to do with that, but we're talkin' location, location, location! It was beautiful snow, sunshine, moonshine, or wind, which were all experienced. We stepped outside and listened to the stream outback in the middle of the night. It was so serene and breathtaking. Second, the cabin was cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to make dinner and just spend the night enjoying each other's company. Everything appeared clean and crisp. We also enjoyed the spa tub. All that being said, privacy is an issue. There is a road about 50 to 100 feet off the back. The neighbors are exceptionally close, as well. While I think we picked a prime time to come, any warmer (say late spring and into summer) there would be a lot of foot traffic and a lot less privacy. When we come back it will for sure be in the winter months, but we will come back. It was truly beautiful!

We stayed in #9 (2nd floor) for one night in June 2016, and it had everything we were looking for after an afternoon hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park: tranquil setting, gorgeous view of Fall River, spa tub in our suite, soft king-size bed. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the outdoor hot tub, but it looked nice. This property is right on Fall River, and the rushing water sounded like nature's perfect white noise to me. The only negatives I can think of are that the bedroom door stuck a little when you shut it, and the pullout sofa bed wasn't very comfortable (but, frankly, how many are?). Also, there is no air conditioning, but the main room had a ceiling fan and there was an oscillating fan for the bedroom, so we were quite comfortable at night. Leaving the windows open also helped, as long as you don't mind the white noise of the river. We would definitely come back here if we revisit Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park.

Great room, great view, great people. Beverly at the front desk was very nice and helpful, also a fellow LSU grad so we felt even more at home. It was uncharacteristically snowy and cold for the end of May, but I enjoyed it since I had never seen snow before. The river is beautiful, and the location is perfect. We were a 5 minute drive to town and all of the stores and restaurants. We were also a quick drive to the gates of RMNP. I wish we could've stayed more than two nights here, and I don't see us staying anywhere else if we return to Estes Park.

The Most Beautiful, Relaxing Place I've Ever Stayed In At Estes Park. The Suite Is Amazing With The Best, Breathtaking View Of The River & Mother Nature. I Wish I Lived Here! I Love That The Hot Tub Is Indoor & The Bed Is Extremely Comfortable. Bathrobes Are Included Which Is A Nice Touch. And The Double Shower Heads Are Great.

The room itself is pretty basic, like your standard motel 8 room plus a full kitchen. They provide cable TV (one in the living room, one in the bedroom), DVD players, DVDs, magazines, board games, a gas fireplace, mini fridge, shampoo, conditioner, towel, soap, and everything you need in a kitchen minus spice and oil, (they even have salt and pepper). It is on the side of a river, but it's also on the side of a major road (busy traffic), and lots of trees, so not much views there (maybe I am just be harsh). The indoor hot tub is nice, and they give you some kind of fragrant liquid you can put in your bath (I first thought it was lube...it really looked like the lube package :) however, the jets and the bathroom fan make too much noise it's hard to enjoy taking the bath. I wasn't even gonna give it four stars if it wasn't for their outdoor Jacuzzi. That thing blew my mind. They don't charge you extra for using it and they also lend you free robes and extra towels if you are going to use the Jacuzzi. Just make sure you put the cover back on after you use it. You can use it any time of the day. There is nothing like sitting in a Jacuzzi and gazing at the stars on a chilly night.

One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.

My boyfriend and I needed a weekend away from city life. There was a Groupon for Boulder Brook and we snagged it. The suites are beautiful and clean and quiet. The view is spectacular and DeeDee at the check in was helpful and full of knowledge of Estes Park. We love this place!

We were on the 2nd floor (same as street level actually - you would go down go down floor to reach the ground floor rooms). I liked having no one above us. The room was large, with a mini fridge and a microwave, and little gas fireplace. Bed was comfy. There was also a live seat, chair and table. The room opened onto a shared balcony overlooking the lawn and the Fall River. The sound of the river is so great! The only drawback to the room was vary low water pressure in the bathroom. The whole property is non-smoking and I really appreciated that. The grounds are incredible. You can't hear any traffic - just the sound of the river. There is plenty of seating on the lawn so you can just relax and enjoy. No children allowed which also boosts the peace and tranquility. The hot tub room seems very new. It too faces the river so you can soak the sore muscles from hiking and still have a great view. I absolutely loved that they offer free s'mores kits in the lobby. Every night, they come out and light the fire pit, and we spent time by the fire each night! It was a nice way to meet other guests and such a treat to have the s'mored. It's a great, thoughtful extra that just puts them a notch above others.

It's a beautiful setting, but several issues impacted my experience. First, I felt the advertising was a bit misleading. I saw a pool listed on Orbitz, but I discovered there isn't a pool anywhere on the property. Instead, there are two above-ground hot tubs. I went to the one on the second level, but I found climbing the narrow metal stairs with wet feet to be a bit dangerous. I also noticed that the rooms are slightly dated and showing their age. In my room, the curtain rod was actually falling out of the wall, which told me they need to keep up with better maintenance. You should also know there is no lobby or front desk here; I just received a code via text message and entered it to get into my room. While efficient, it felt a bit impersonal. My biggest complaint, however, was the construction noise. I didn't realize they are currently expanding the inn and building two new buildings on the same lot. Unfortunately, my room was right next to the construction site, and I had to deal with loud noise all morning. I think this place has a lot of potential once the upgrades are done, but between the maintenance issues and the noise, I didn't find it to be the relaxing getaway I was hoping for.

The hotel is rich in history. Everywhere you look there is charm. We stayed in the "Cowboy Attic Suite". My mom immediately had an "experience". I heard a grandfather clock chime throughout our stay. I never saw one and forgot to ask where it was located. I love old clocks. My aunt had her own experience that woke her from her sleep. Everyone we encountered was nice and we appreciated the cander as we asked for their stories/experiences there. The bad....for what we paid, it was not worth it. The floor feels dirty. It is as though they have not thought to clean the carpets in quite some time. Under the bed is a nice layer of dust. The whole hotel could use a moist cloth and a good wipe down. The dust in the display cases throughout the hotel is obvious and off putting. We met Hannibal. Wish we would have booked the seance, but alas, we ran out of time. He was a hoot to talk to.

As everyone else has mentioned, the construction is a huge turn off! And absolutely no mention of it when you're booking your room. In addition, when I booked my room, I did not realize that I was booking it in the Aspire building. I thought that the Stanley hotel was one big hotel. I did not realize that there were different newer buildings. In the end, though, I am very happy that we are in the other building as what is being done at the original hotel is really offputting. The staff, however, were very nice and accommodating. Besides all of the construction, they have tours going on an hourly basis that are open to anyone who passes by, for a cost of $25+, of course and no discount for hotel guests. Those tourists who have not spent several hundred per night are all over the main lobby, dirtying up the carpet, wandering around the property with screaming kids, going up and down the stairwells, and elevator if it's running, just taking up space that should be reserved for guests!! Especially guests who are paying dearly for what they thought would be an old, elegant hotel experience. It is definitely not an elegant hotel anymore. It tries, a little, but is obviously too interested in making money off of tours rather than providing an exceptional experience for guests. I had envisioned myself sitting in that grand lobby reading a book with some tea. Impossible and wouldn't be pleasant if it was possible. Our room in the Aspire was nice, and the lobby, spa and gym facilities and the outdoor pool are very attractive and peaceful. But, again, some things just don't make sense. For instance, the lovely fireplace they have in the lobby is shut down at 8 PM when the desk agent goes home. I have been looking forward all day, to just sitting by that fireplace with a nice drink and reading my book. Seems like a normal expectation for a higher end hotel in the Colorado mountains. The pool area is nice, as is the steam room and gym. There are plenty of towels, tea and coffee and nice amenities. They need little tables out by the lounge chairs on the pool deck for people to set their drinks and things on instead of the ground. The beds, linens and pillows were great. There is no mini fridge in the room, no additional amenities in bathroom like Q tips, makeup remover wipes, etc... normal amenities offered in hotels of this price range and expected caliber. There is no full length mirror in the bedroom or in the bathroom and the mirror in the bathroom is so dimly lit it is impossible for a woman to see to put makeup on and no other mirror in the bedroom. They don't make up your room or refresh towels unless you specifically request it. I understand not changing out towels for ecological reasons, but when you are paying these kind of prices for a hotel room, someone should come in and make up your bed every day and tidy up and take the trash out. We're just one night in to our stay so we shall see how the rest goes. It has been pretty disappointing though.
