However, I am not satisfied with Mr. Rivera's service. Over the course of my experience with him, he treated me less like a customer and more like a scam artist and completely soured my relationship with this dealership. I was willing to purchase the vehicle without a test drive and trust this business because I was impressed with how thoroughly serviced the vehicle appeared on the CarFax and how highly rated this place appeared. While I suspect Mr. Rivera is a lovely man and sales representative in person, he does not seem fit to handle online sales. He was extremely unhelpful and made me bend over backwards to prove myself committed to this transaction. I understand the trouble outside financers can cause and that there are bad actors out there issuing bad checks, but I would not have wasted my time with a dealership in another city around the holidays buying a used vehicle that I hadn't even seen in person if this was not a car I had been truly committed to purchasing. I spent days just asking for him to cooperate by accepting my down payment, my credit union's approval notice, the agreement to pay, the tracking number for the check, and the instructions for how to finish the title application as proof that my credit union does not need the title before the check is cashed, only to be told that he will not take my money until he gets the check in hand from my credit union. It took my bank calling him directly to take the down payment, yet all I heard back from him in the time since was that he was still waiting on the tracking number, which had been emailed to him. Moreover, if Mr. Rivera was so hesitant to trust me along the way, his ability to call my credit union and confirm the loan's approval and the incoming check was always an option rather than speaking to me like I was trying to pull some kind of scheme. Because the only mode of communication where he was cooperative was by phone, I was written up at my job for trying to deal with this in a timely manner. So much trouble could have been avoided had he simply been more equipped to conduct business via email or taken the time to call my credit union. Again, I'm certain Mr. Rivera is a perfectly fine salesman on the floor. The phone calls I did have with him were personable enough, but his ability to conduct online sales is sorely lacking. Additionally, on the day I scheduled to pick up the vehicle after finalizing the transaction with Miguel Castaneda, I can't say the service there fared much better. I was rushed in and out the door after my test drive and given no time to go over what I was signing, nor did anyone even explain what each paper I signed was. When I reached out to Mr. Castaneda for digital copies, I was given a fraction of the documents I signed. I recognize that I stressed my own tight timeline as someone who wasn't local to the area, but the issue wasn't the hour I scheduled to be there - it was merely the day that was imperative. Overall, I may be content with the vehicle I purchased, but this entire ordeal was by far the most unpleasant interaction I have ever had with a sales team, and I cannot in good faith recommend my Houston family to this dealership.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Hyundai dealership…read more Before visiting, I communicated clearly and in writing (email and text) with a salesperson who identified himself as Joseph R. (or "JR"). I provided exact details of the deal I was looking for, including: 2026 Hyundai Tucson Limited (Hampton Gray) 36 months / 12,000 miles $3,000 down $380-$390 monthly All taxes, registration, and fees included No additional or hidden costs These terms were confirmed in writing, and I was asked to come to the dealership. I have screenshots as evidence. When I arrived at the dealership, I was told the deal was $90 MORE per month than what had been confirmed. This was a significant change from the written agreement and was never disclosed beforehand. When a supervisor came out, instead of honoring the written confirmation, the salesperson distanced himself from the agreement. The supervisor identified the salesperson as "J-R", and the situation was handled in an unprofessional manner. At that point, I was left with the impression that the name provided earlier may not have been accurate or complete. This experience felt like an attempt to bring me into the store under agreed terms and then change the numbers in person. That is misleading and a waste of a customer's time. I strongly recommend that anyone dealing with this dealership get everything in writing and verify all numbers before visiting. This experience negatively impacts the dealership's credibility and Hyundai's brand reputation.

However, upon receiving the car, I discovered multiple issues that were not disclosed prior to the sale. The audio system is defective, with severe distortion even at low volume. I specifically asked about the radio as it looked like it was post-factory installed. The vehicle came with only one key, which was in terrible condition (I'd rate it 7 out of 100). On top of that, the car was never detailed before it was shipped -- the interior was dirty, and the engine bay was filled with leaves and debris, which is shocking for a vehicle with only 38,000 miles. The doors had glue all over them as someone had taken them apart and tried to put them together. None of this was mentioned beforehand and the list can go on! I contacted Angello immediately to address these issues, but after multiple attempts, I've received no response except "I will forward your message to the director" I got a loan for the can and cannot register it in California because Uptown imports did not send the pink slip to the DMV or to the bank (as they are supposed to) Eventually they ended up sending it to me! (WHAT?) How are they in business of selling cars if they don't even know what to do with the pink slip?! This level of communication and customer service is completely unacceptable. If a business can't stand behind what it sells--or even respond after the sale--that speaks volumes. I've waited long enough for a resolution and am extremely disappointed in how this was handled. Buyers... beware!

I bought a car from NexCar in July 2025, and I just got around to changing the oil on it. I found that the technician at NexCar cross threaded the drain plug (this damages the oil pan, leads to oil leaks, and can put metal shavings in the oil), and I know NexCar did this because they change the oil on all their cars. To remedy their mistake, some gorilla put RTV silicone all around the plug and WAY over tightened it (this further damaged the pan and can put silicone in the oil). I immediately took pictures and videos of their horrible repair and got a repair quote from a local shop. I sent these to Beto, a service representative, and he took days to respond after repeated calls. Today, after the car has been waiting in a shop for three days, I called again just to be informed by the owner that the cars are sold "as is" and they won't pay for the repairs. If I bought the car from someone on Facebook, I would assume such risks. However, this was an established business with seemingly good reviews. NexCar strung me around for a week waiting an answer and repeatedly ignored my calls. What NexCar did was crooked, and businesses like them give used car dealers a bad reputation. If I could leave a 0 star review, I would.
