I went in to look at one particular model and before I knew it he had me looking at others. He was a great help at giving me different options and I even test drove several different models. I narrowed it down to a 2026 Tucson and he also assisted in getting my price as to what I was willing to pay. I finally decided which one I wanted and it was actually parked in the showroom floor with a fancy red Christmas ribbon on it. I came by later that evening with my youngest daughter and finalized the purchase. He has been the greatest and biggest help and I highly recommend working with him. I have been driving it for 8 months now and I am really impressed and enjoying my Tucson. I enjoy everything about it and have been on short road trips and it's been great. The ride is very comfortable and it's also loaded with many features. The stereo sounds awesome too! I really like the screen set up and all the cameras and its different angles. I stopped by to get an oil change at the dealership and Hunter saw me and came by to see how everything was going. I can't brag enough but he is a great person and very friendly. He is currently working in the OnLine Sales Dept and his office is in the front showroom floor. If you're interested in looking at vehicles I highly recommend talking to him. My two previous Service Dept visits were also great. My visits were for an oil change and also a system update. Audry and Mia were very friendly and kept me updated as to what the service Dept was working on and approximately how long the work would take. I'm writing this review to share my experience with North Freeway Hyundai's service department. My 2017 Hyundai Sonata entered Engine Protection Mode (limp mode) with a flashing Check Engine Light. I scanned it myself and found DTC P1326, the code for the Knock Sensor Detection System (KSDS), which can indicate connecting rod bearing wear. This code is addressed by the Hyundai Theta II Engine Class Action Settlement and the TXXM extended warranty. I documented the flashing light, the code, the mileage, and the oil level on video before the vehicle was towed. I called Service Advisor Richard, described the code and symptoms, and told him the car was undriveable. He told me to tow it in. Before the tow, I left a written letter in the vehicle asking that the technician focus on the P1326 diagnostic, that the required Bearing Clearance Test (BCT) per Hyundai TSB 22-01-023H-2 be performed, and that the code not be cleared without a written repair order. I also emailed Richard declining the 9C2 software update and all MPI services in writing, and followed up through the dealership's contact form the next morning confirming the same instructions. Despite this, both the MPI inspection and the 9C2 update were performed. When I asked Richard about it, he asked why I wouldn't want it done since it was covered under warranty. The BCT was not performed. Richard said the code was caused by the oil being one quart low, and the invoice also listed the oil as "6 months overdue." The oil was changed and the code was cleared. I showed Richard my Jiffy Lube record for full-synthetic oil, rated for a 7,500-10,000 mile interval, showing the vehicle was still within that interval. He removed the "6 months overdue" line after seeing it. I also have video from before the tow showing the same oil level, and it was not low. P1326 is generated by bearing wear, not oil level, and the TSB requires a BCT and a Warranty Prior Approval (PA) when the code is present. Neither was done. Hyundai's own records confirm Campaign 953, the KSDS update required for warranty eligibility, was completed in 2019. Those same records currently show Campaign 9C2 as "Incomplete," despite the invoice showing it installed during this visit. Aside from my emails, the only call I received was the morning after I had already contacted Hyundai Corporate, and it was only to say the vehicle was ready for pickup. No one explained why the vehicle went into limp mode or why P1326 was present, beyond the oil claim contradicted by my video. I also never received a response from Service Manager Brandon Burris or owner Ricardo Lujan, despite emailing both individually. There was no update on diagnosis, no explanation of findings, and no response from management the entire time. Between the oil explanation that didn't match my video, the "6 months overdue" note that had to be corrected after I provided proof, a completed update that doesn't show as completed in Hyundai's system, and no response from management, I was given more than one statement that didn't hold up against my own documentation. That pattern, on top of work being done after I'd declined it in writing twice, is what cost me my trust in this service department. I later took the vehicle to a different Hyundai dealership, which said the BCT could not be performed until the code returns. My family's safety is of the utmost importance to me, and having to drive a vehicle with an unresolved engine warning code, simply because the diagnostic can't be repeated until the light returns, is not a position I should have been put in. I've filed complaints with Hyundai Corporate, the Texas DMV, and the BBB Arbitration program. If you have a Hyundai with a Theta II engine or a P1326 code, confirm in writing, before any work is done, that the Bearing Clearance Test and Warranty Prior Approval process will be followed. read more

My experience with North Freeway Hyundai was absolutely terrible, and I would seriously think twice before taking my vehicle there for service. I brought my vehicle in for what should have been a routine oil change, tire rotation, and windshield wiper replacement. When I picked up my vehicle, I discovered that my windshield had been cracked. The crack was not there when I brought my vehicle in. I immediately contacted the dealership, and I was told that they needed to review their cameras to determine whether the damage was already there before I arrived. I know for a fact that it was not. I went back to the dealership the following day at 12:00 PM, as I had discussed with my service advisor. I ended up sitting in the lobby for two hours because I was told the service manager, Brandon Burris, was at lunch. Despite the fact that I had already communicated that I would be there at noon, no one seemed prepared to address the situation. Eventually, we had to go looking for him ourselves and found him in his office. When he finally spoke with us, I found his response to be extremely disappointing. There was no apology, no real sympathy, and no sense that he understood the inconvenience this situation had caused me. He also didn't explain how it happened or why I waited 2hrs in their lobby just for them to tell me they can't do it today. Instead, I felt like I was being rushed out of the dealership. I was told that I would need to bring my vehicle back on a Tuesday or Thursday, because that is when the glass technicians come. I explained that I work and that those days did not work with my schedule. I then asked whether a rental vehicle could be provided so I could continue handling my responsibilities while my vehicle was being repaired. I was told no, and I was told that the windshield crack was not considered a safety hazard -- despite the fact that the crack continues to spread. What makes this even more frustrating is that I now have to make additional trips to the dealership to correct a problem that did not exist when I brought my vehicle in for service in the first place. The technician, Kevin Maxwell, failed to report the incident to his manager. That means I had to be the one to discover the damage and bring it to their attention. Whether it was an oversight or something else, from a customer's perspective, that is extremely concerning. To make matters worse, I still had to pay for the services performed, and I have not received any restitution for the damage or the additional time and inconvenience this situation has caused me. The most disappointing part has been the lack of empathy and accountability throughout this entire experience. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a business handles them. I expected North Freeway Hyundai to acknowledge the situation, take responsibility, and make the process of getting it resolved as easy as possible. Instead, I felt like I was being treated as though I was the inconvenience. I came in for routine maintenance and left with a damaged windshield, additional trips to the dealership, more time taken away from work and my personal responsibilities, and a customer-service experience that made the situation even worse. Outstanding job by the service department... said no satisfied customer ever. I brought my car in for a recall after being encouraged multiple times to have the service completed at this dealership. When my vehicle was returned, it had 1 mile of fuel remaining--not one gallon, one mile. I understand that dealerships don't normally fill up your gas tank after service, but when the service manager, Clay, specifically promises that the vehicle will be fueled before it's returned, I expect that promise to be kept. Instead, I was left wondering if I'd even make it to a gas station. Thankfully, I have AAA and was able to get two gallons of gas delivered. Without that, I could have easily been stranded. What made this experience even worse was the complete lack of accountability. No courtesy call to let me know the fuel level was critically low, no apology, and no effort to make the situation right. I even would have been willing to meet someone at a gas station with the loaner vehicle to put gas in my car if they had simply communicated. Instead, Clay suggested that I drive all the way back to the dealership in Spring to have them fill it up--even though he knows I live in Katy. That would have meant wasting a significant amount of gas just to correct a mistake the dealership made. I provided exact details of the deal I was looking for, including: 2026 Hyundai Tucson Limited (Hampton Gray) 36 months / 12,000 miles $3,000 down $380-$390 monthly All taxes, registration, and fees included No additional or hidden costs These terms were confirmed in writing, and I was asked to come to the dealership. I have screenshots as evidence. When I arrived at the dealership, I was told the deal was $90 MORE per month than what had been confirmed. This was a significant change from the written agreement and was never disclosed beforehand. When a supervisor came out, instead of honoring the written confirmation, the salesperson distanced himself from the agreement. The supervisor identified the salesperson as "J-R", and the situation was handled in an unprofessional manner. At that point, I was left with the impression that the name provided earlier may not have been accurate or complete. Took took my car in for a booked state inspection at 9am as it only usually takes 15 - 45 min wait. They did an initial AI inspection which said I needed new front tires which was auto texted to me no service representative contact, so I go to investigative, I was informed to ignore as this was just advised. I went back to the waiting room an hour - 30 mins still nothing so I went to investigate i was then informed I needed new brake all round and brake bulbs. $1000 inc oil and inspection and wheel alignment i was fuming having waited 2 hours this was obviously going to take longer so I got a ride home. I'm at home waiting a call nothing I texted 3 times , called 2 times voicemail, they close at 33pm, so I knew I had to get up there called again while it rand , she called me hello you car is ready this was at 250pm , I had to get my son to get up there quick before closing time. I bought a car from them a few weeks ago and called out the wiring damage I found within a couple of days after buying the car. I was told "you bought a 3 year old used car what did you expect". I didn't expect a $13,861 wiring repair within days of taking delivery. Who strips the full interior of a car they intend to buy to inspect for wiring damage? Not only that but they were too cheap to even give me a tank of gas when I bought the car . They've been kicking the can down the road with me for weeks suggesting they might be able to do something for me, when I knew at the end of the day they weren't going to do a thing. This Hyundai dealership is the worst dealership EVER! I would give ZERO stars if I could. From sales, to finance, to service, and also the parts dept, all trash! Sales: Michael never told us the car didn't come with a spare tire, it only came with a tire mobility kit! But sure did tell us it came with Roadside Service! Finance: My girl signed a contract that stated $36k and pymt of $551, with Kyle Lowe, their 'amazing finance guy' per Michael the salesman. Her first bill came and showed $38k and $583 pymt. She immediately called Hyundai Finance. They said that's what's in the computer, we need to call the dealership. Kyle said he doesn't understand how that happened but he'd take care of it. After too many "collections" calls and calls with Kyle, the amounts were fixed. The issue started in December and it was not corrected until February. We contacted a Consumer Affairs Attny. Service: Mia is the rudest person ever. Bad attitude each time my fiancé spoke with her, like she just hates her job. My fiancé had a blowout. Since Michael told us about the amazing roadside service we were getting, my girl called the roadside service for the blowout. After a bunch of BS, the roadside service will only tow the vehicle to a Hyundai dealership. Really? We couldn't get it towed to Discount Tire to get the tire fixed or replaced, the car can only be towed to Hyundai. I tried using the "mobility kit", and of course it did nothing for the tire. Unfortunately, this dealership does not value honesty . From the seller to the used car sales manager Dan Khalid and VP of Operation Tim Shipe . They promised to repair a damaged part of a used SUV I had Purchased, as part of the purchase agreement. Soon after I purchased the used Vehicle I called at least 3 times for the next 3 weeks to follow up on the status of the part they promose to install. I called the seller directly many times and each of them he made up many excuses for the next 3 weeks. Finally, last Thursday after I called for the 10 th time, the seller , told me to bring my vehicle in because the part "supposedly had arrived " . Then , later that same they called me back to tell me that the part had not actually arrived and I had to either keep the car there for another 7 days until the part arrived since they had not order it . So , I had to drive back yesterday afternoon from South Houston , 45 min drive again to get my car back and now wait for the simple Radiator Grill part to arrive after 4 weeks of Purchasing the vehicle and being told that the part had arrived . I just want to say that even if you sell a used car , Value Honesty and respect for your customers . I am very disappointed with how this dealer handle some of his customers and hope the Upper management make the necessary changes to handle their customers with attentiveness and respect . I have no idea what is going on, but our credit union is now going to charge us higher interest rate because they do not have the vehicle title. I had an unfortunate experience with my purchase of a new Elantra Hybrid at this dealership. Everything went well with the purchase and financing and the test drive. However, all along the way I was given to believe that the vehicle had the Bluelink feature that allows for communication with your phone and other features. The salesman, Yusuf Elias, and the finance person were extolling the feature to me during our discussions. I was even signed up for a Bluelink account by the salesman and received an email that very day, April 5, reminding me to activate my Bluelink account. I was unable to activate the account. When I called the help service for Bluelink, I discovered that the model I had purchased did not have that feature. Imagine my disappointment that one of the features that had induced us to purchase the vehicle did not exist. I let the salesman know of my displeasure and was told that he would have his supervisor speak to me. On a follow up he told me that person was not in and not expected to be in the next day. I also asked for a new customer survey to fill out that would take into account this experience, and was told that a supervisor would contact me about that. As of this review, no such contact has occurred. I guess their attitude is caveat emptor at this point. Thumbs Down: I went in to fix a scratchy brake, fully expecting them to upsell unnecessary services--that's standard business for dealerships and service centers. Thumbs Down: I was RIGHT! For a simple squeak, they presented a $3,500 laundry list of "urgent" services, claiming my car would become a death trap without them. Thumbs Down: The representative had a poor attitude when I called out their blatant attempt to take advantage of me. Thumbs Down: They held my car hostage until I paid for the brake service plus an additional charge they tacked on, just to legalize the theft. Thumbs Down: Worse, my car had just had an oil change before this visit, but about a week later, it needed another. The new technician discovered all the oil had been pumped out and suggested sabotage, as the previous oil change had been done properly (I watched them do it). The business owner who conducted the second oil change encouraged me to file a lawsuit against the dealership and provided a technician's report to back my case. read more

If I could give this service department 0 stars I would! I should have read the reviews first. But, being a loyal customer having purchased 3 vehicles from North Freeway Hyundai (Elantra, Tucson & Genesis), I expected a better experience. There's a reason Brandon Burris and Tim Shipe are specifically named in so many of the negative reviews! I'd be happy to share written correspondence from Brandon where he basically held me and my vehicle hostage stating- approve the repairs or we will have it towed to a storage lot at your expense! I also have a text stating- while installing the starter, the tech broke a bolt. Then another text stating- after replacing the bad starter, it shorted out the ECM. I feel repairs to my car were made that were not needed as well as me being charged for a repair that was caused by the service department's install process. What began as a $1700 starter replacement ended with a repair bill of $4700+ which included replacing the ECM their tech shorted out. I would have expected not to have to bear the full cost of both repairs or at minimum given some sort of discount. I asked for an explanation and that the service dept take some responsibility/accountability and was ignored. BEWARE, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! I would highly recommend finding a different service department. Customer service is severely lacking here! read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. It was by far the WORST experience getting service at this location. To start, I had made an appointment to resolve a parking sensor issue in my Hyundai Elantra. I was told it would take only 1-2 hours for the service to be complete. I responded by saying, "Sure, that is fine; i'll wait." When waiting in the lobby, I noticed there were 2 people very upset and demanding to speak to a supervisor regarding an issue with their vehicle. I was like in my mind, please tell me I am not going to run into any issues with these service people. Yet, I was right about that! After 2 hours, there were no updates on the status of my vehicle. I was working with the service advisor, Brandon B. I had to go to him to ask him for an update, and he told me, "...all I know is its on the rack and the technician is looking at it..." Why not go to the technician and ask for an update? I mean come on, I am not here to tell you guys how to do your job. Unlike other dealerships, they would update their customers every certain number of hours. Anyways, I kept my composure and waited an additional 2 hours. Still NO UPDATES. I had to go back to Brandon B. again to ask for an update. He then told me that it's probably going to take another couple of hours or up to 3-5 business days. I then asked if I could just get a loaner vehicle. He responded "Oh, we don't have loaner vehicles..." I was like, "Okay, can I get Uber to go home?" He said, "...Oh no, we don't have those types of services." I was so furious that this dealership had nothing available! Yet, I see there are a dozen and dozen vehicles sitting on the lot that can be used as loaners. Moving forward, I just decided fine; I will just have someone come pick me up and take me home. My spouse was not too happy about this and had proceeded to write a negative review. In a matter of minutes, a service manager called me by the name of "Tim." He told me over the phone that he was sorry for everything that happened, and all of a sudden he mentioned they have loaner vehicles available. I told him over the phone, "Why wasn't I offered a vehicle at the time I was there?" He was speechless at the sound of his tone; he didn't know how to respond. So I told Tim over the phone that I would like to schedule to have one the next day. Needless to say, my vehicle was all of a sudden ready for pickup the next day before they gave me a loaner. When I picked up my vehicle, they told me they had to take apart the front bumper to reinstall a new parking sensor for the front bumper. As any customer would before driving their vehicle out of the dealership, I did a quick look to see if there were any damages on my vehicle and made sure everything was functional. I didn't notice anything at all. When I got home, I didn't notice this at the dealership before I drove home; the front bumper was not properly installed back on (please see image below). I had called back to the dealership to schedule a new appointment, and they had told me there were no available appointments for another 2 weeks (I was basically flagged). However, when I scheduled my first appointment, there were available slots in 3 days. How funny is that? I told them never mind; instead, I decided to see if I could try to go to another dealership to have my issues resolved. I went to the Brookshire location; the experience was really great, and the customer service there was 5/5 stars. What's also funny is that I told my service advisor at the Brookshire location about what happened at North Freeway Hyundai. He told me there are so many customers complaining about that location and about why they have more customers coming to them than North Freeway. If I were you, DO NOT get your vehicle serviced here. They just want to waste people's time, and the fact that there were people demanding to speak to a supervisor there explains a lot. I'd recommend that you go to Brookshire Hyundai. They will address all of your car issues. Yes, it's a long drive. TRUST ME, it's worth the drive. read more

My car has 2 recalls on it that need maintenance. I called and the lady was very rude to me when I couldn't find a "recall code"... on my notice there is literally no recall code. I tried the number on the top right and then I told her I could give her the vin number but she kept being very rude about it...... I don't know why. It's literally not on the notice they sent me. I spouted off every code on there and she would yell at me no that's not it. Finally when we got past that I asked if I could get a ride home from an appointment while it gets fixed or get a loaner (so I could get back to work) she told me they'd call me back. They never did. It's been two weeks now and there is a recall stating my engine could catch fire... So after years of terrible service from them, I'll be switching to Weisner. Never had a problem with any Hyundai location except this one. The people at Weisner were already SO much nicer! They didn't even ask for a "recall code", just my vin. This dealership is very bad. Mainly the service department. They are not honest and flat out rude. They sent me a picture that we're supposedly my air filters. The ones in the pic were horrible looking. I declined having them replaced. When I got home I looked at my filters and they were NOT the filters in the pictures they sent me. And they want $60 for a cabin filter...I bought the same exact filter on Amazon for $12. They also said I needed a fuel injection treatment for $179.00. The car had less then 15k miles. Also tried to sell me an alignment for $110. Total BS! I will never return to this rip off stealership and suggest you avoid them. I went to another Hyundai dealership that told me I didn't need the items this one tried to sell me. read more

I am here for the 3 rd time with the same transmission issue, after being told there was no issue or problem with the transmission Yesterday my car would not go into reverse or drive. I had the car towed to the dealership today after having more transmission issue with a new transmission that was installed in December at Hyundai Spring. The car is still under warranty but, I am being told that I can't get a loaner until the car is evaluated on May 3rd which is a week away from today. Just want to be treated fairly, because I brought this issue to their attention in February and there was a issue again to bring it back. Now I will have to figure out how I will get kids to school and go to work. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! The rental experience made me late to work. I scheduled the appointment for service 2 weeks in advance so Hyundai could have things ready. Then the rental place took an extra $300 for a rental I only had for a few hours.... Hyundai should have had that taken care of .... DO NOT SCHEDULE A RENTAL UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO SPEND ON WAITING FOR A LYFT AND THEN TO SELF SCHEDULE THE RENTAL.... Then, the rental place brought me back to Hyundai and dropped me off at the wrong dealership .... I was next door at Toyota ... I didn't have time to wait so I walked over in the HEAT ..... 2 of the 3 new car sales people I've spoken to over the last two months have been nice and courteous. One couldn't be bothered, since I wasn't his customer he wasn't interested in representing the brand and checking to see specific car was on the lot. This dealer is still adding $5,000 market adjustment to vehicles. They don't list this online or advertise this price add on. Also claim they have no more allocations for 90 days. read more

Don't buy any cars with white paint, There are so many people with paint issues. They had a 6 year warranty, that's great and all, my car has been chipping paint from almost the moment I got it. They had paint coupons that I could bring the car in for a touch up. Which that in its self should have been a red flag but I thought it was a perk. I bought my car in the end of 2016. Brand New 2017 Santa Fe Sport. I was so excited. Now I am just out of the warranty by 1 year and they won't do anything for me about the paint on my car. Its getting worse day by day. This is what my car paint is doing. My car will end up like a dang Dalmatian. read more
