Great crew who did stellar cutting job on large ulu tree and formosan koa trees. Unfortunately my neighbor was upset with them . They parked their truck so she could not get out of her garage both days they came although l specifically asked them to provide clearance. Alejandro and his two-man crew pruned my 70+ year-old lychee tree and cut down a 70-80 foot gold tree which was close to power lines. When he came out for the consultation, he was knowledgeable and took time to explain what was going on with my lychee tree. I found him to be responsive, trustworthy, likable, and his fee was reasonable. The cutting of the tall gold tree was done so well, in sections and without jeopardizing surrounding vegetation or power lines. (They said they used to work on redwood trees in California!) He sprayed my lychee tree with neem oil (ants and brown on leaves), fertilized and applied magnesium, all to enhance the health of the tree. This is the second time have I used Espitia's Tree Service, and everything was as great as the first time when they removed a jackfruit tree from my front yard. This time I asked them to trim all of my trees - a large shower tree, two large orange trees, two plumeria, a purple leaf plum, several panix plants and fifteen Areca palms. That's every tree in my front and back yard! They also removed a Yew tree. A big job that they were able to finish in only four hours by using a three-man team. They had a chipper to dispose of all the branches and left the yard clean and looking good. The cost was extremely reasonable for so much work. We hired another company before and that ended in branches falling on electrical wires, guys slipping from the tree, etc. Roberto is a MASTER at climbing. We had a tangerine tree in our backyard (aka the BEAST) that was neglected, infested with creepy crawlies, and most likely diseased. I contacted several companies who quoted me cheaper prices but was impressed with Alejandro's responsiveness and knowledge. Once I gave the go ahead, his team was there within an hour. In addition to cutting the BEAST down, they cut down a smaller orange tree that was being eaten by borer beetles and a dead stump next to it. Not only did they do an outstanding job taking the BEAST down, they cleaned everything up and hauled away the green waste as well as the bricks, gravel, and miscellaneous debris that had been accumulated over the years and leveled the area to match the existing yard. We had 2 very over grown macadamia nut trees, situated on a downslope below our house but rising above our 2nd story roof. Alejandro and 2 crew members spent most of the day pruning and shaping the trees, cutting away dead branches, and removing Monstera growing up the trunks. They left enough leaves and flowers to maintain the beauty of the trees and to attract birds. Alejandro did the branch cutting (too scary for us to watch tho he kept himself tethered to the tree), and one of his crew spotted his work from the ground to help with the shaping. They hauled away all of the branches they cut and cleaned up the leaves that cluttered the garage afterwards. They did exactly what I hired them to do and checked with me a couple of times early on to make sure they were maintaining the height I wanted. There were dead branches and dead leaves left behind but I had not asked them to clean up the rubbish that had accumulated over the years.
