Observed Ohana Tree service crew working on my neighbors trees, they were mindful of not trying to disturb the neighborhood. They played music as they worked but it was not loud and actually very pleasant. after finishing they cleaned up and left no trace of cuttings. I contacted Rocky the owner for an estimate and he came the same day. Price was very reasonable . Mike and his crew came today and did the work in no time flat and again did a superb job cleaning up after. I would definitely hire these guys again. read more

I can't say enough about Rocky and his whole crew. Extremely responsive initially, walked through my wishes for 3 large trees and the care for the other plants while doing the large trimming job. Came back with a big crew amazingly fast, and just finished as I'm writing this. The care taken to get exactly what I wished, along with watching out for all the other growing things in the yard was truly remarkable at a very fair price. And we have had people trimming these mango, avocado, and puakenikeni trees for over 35 years! We will call Rocky from now on for any project like this. So grateful. read more

If I could give 100 stars I would for this company! Rocky is a man of high integrity and great character and it shows in his fair pricing and outstanding service! Michael, Sika, Leo, Nalu and the rest of the crew did such an amazing job on trimming down my HUGE mango tree and paklan tree! They arrived on time, finished ahead of schedule, made sure I was happy with the work done, and left the place cleaner than it was. They took great care not to have any trimmings fall over into our neighbor's yard. I've had other tree services come out in the past and there is absolutely no comparison to Ohana Tree Services. Hands down, all round OUTSTANDING! Don't waste your time looking elsewhere! Call Rocky. You won't be disappointed! Best owner and best crew! read more

I recommended Ohana Tree Services to Daniel, a friend of mine last week. My dad used Ohana Services a couple of times in the past and we were always happy with their efficient services. Daniel just informed me how satisfied and happy he was with Rocky and his crew on trimming his large mango tree. The Ohana team has a very organized system with trimming and clean up so the job is done fast. They will provide you a quote and are pretty reasonable based on other quotes that were given. read more

We needed 5 tall trees trimmed at our house. We've had them trimmed before but never by the same service - primarily because we were not 100% satisfied with the work. I am very happy with the quality of the service provided by Rocky and his team at Ohana Tree Services in Mililani. From the initial response to my request for an estimate, to the scheduling of the job, and ultimately to the completion of the job - all high quality! Prompt, courteous communication. On time, efficient workers. Reasonable price. We will definitely call Ohana Tree Services in the future and we highly recommend them to anyone needing high quality tree care. read more

I had a problem with an oversized junk tree which was on the property line and damaging concrete. I knew of nobody who offered tree removal services, but called Ohana Tree Services on a recommendation. The owner Rocky called me back immediately and offered to come by the next day to look at the job and give me an estimate. He did and explained all my options and gave me good advice and a reasonable quote. The work was done within a week and the results were perfect. The crew was friendly and expert. The tree was removed and now you can't even tell there ever was a tree there. It was done quickly and the clean up could not have been better. I highly recommend Ohana Tree Service! read more

We own a lot in Washougal but currently live in Texas. Met Tyson at a job he was doing for a hotel we were staying at, and asked him about taking out a tree on our lot. One week later, I had a quote for tree removal and grinding the stump. Two weeks after that the job was done. He kept me informed throughout the process and sent pictures when it was completed. Pleasant, professional and great to work with. read more

We had a huge rubber/octopus tree growing in front of our house. Right next to a sewer drain, I had hoped that the City and County would remove it. Unfortunately, it wasn't one of their trees...planted by a previous owner, I suppose. Rocky came out to provide an estimate, shared what he could do so as not to disturb or risk damage to the utilities, and was able to start the next morning. Crew showed up on time and was able to remove the entirety of the tree by lunch time - impressive. Very happy with the results and the efficiency of this business. read more

Owner Rocky came over the same day I requested for an estimate to trim our 8 huge triangle palm trees. We're new owners of this house. Rocky suggested removal even though it would cost him money because these trees need trimming every 5-6 months and they were hanging over my neighbors roof. Rocky gave an estimate trimming and removal. His estimate was very fair compared to others. I went with removal and I'm glad I did. Ohana Tree Services came on time and were just an efficient work crew of five friendly, polite, experienced hard workers. They cut , stump grind and cleaned up in less than four hours. This was done in a driving rain. No complaints just hard work from the crew. I highly recommend Ohana Tree Services they are an excellent company from the owner to the workforce. read more

We live on the North Shore and have used Ohana Tree Services several times for some fairly big jobs. This last time they removed 10 CRB damaged palms (some 100+ft tall). We've been very impressed with their highly skilled crew, top-notch equipment, attention to safety and reasonable price. Like the other yelp reviewers we found the owner Rocky to be prompt, a good communicator, knowledgeable and really nice. In fact the whole crew is nice. They seem to enjoy their work. We feel quite blessed to have found such an excellent tree service so close to home. read more

Third time using this tree service. Very pleased with their work. Rocky came out to give me a quote within a day and scheduled the job for following week. His crew was prompt, professional and very neat. They trimmed several large trees and removed several. They had a mulcher which made it fast and easy for them to shred the branches and leaves. There was no trace of any leaves, branches etc on our property when they were done with the job. Took them 3 hours to finish the work. Very satisfied. Would highly recommend. read more

Rocky is professional and nice. He came out quickly to give me a quote and was able to schedule my job within a week. They did a really nice job. Instead of dragging the heavy cut branches on the ground (which wrecked my grass and damaged my yard gate) like the other company, these guys carried them out of my yard on their shoulders! It's been about a 3 weeks since they trimmed my trees and everything is growing in nicely. The job was a pretty big one and they stayed until almost 6pm so they could finish it in 1 day. read more

We called 3 tree trimming companies to remove 5 of our 6 forty foot trees. Although his price for trimming the trees was in the middle, when adding the cost to grind down the stumps he was the least expensive. He was also willing to go deeper and included roots that were above surface. His knowledge of trees was beyond the others and he was very thorough explaining what the price included. I felt he did not want any misunderstanding of what we were paying for. The day of the job he called early to say he was running late and said he would be here at 10. And at 10 he arrived. Very punctual. We watched his crew analyzed how they would proceed as the trees were very close to our rock walls. He came to reassure me they will be careful. To keep this short, both my wife and I were amazed as they constructed barriers to safeguard the walls and like an expert fish cutter, dissect branches and trunks one by one. There were a total of 8 workers that without much supervision worked tirelessly until the job was not only complete, but free of all rubbish. We asked for a few stomps for friends and some of the shavings from their chipper and all they said was where would you like them. I was so impressed. Throughout my many years relying on Yelp for reviews I have never felt the urge to write one. I work for a contractor and know a great team when I see one. I needed to express my sincere gratitude to Rocky and his top notch crew for giving me a hell of a deal as I got so much more than I could have imagined. Thank you Rocky and crew, you guys truly deserve this review. read more

I had to write this review because I have never been this impressed with a contractor ever. I needed to get rid of and kill an Umbrella tree growing right next to my house. I called a few other tree services who told me they couldn't grind my stump because of the location of the tree on the retaining wall I have and that they would only be able to cut it down and then I would have to put my own poison which I didn't want to do. But Rocky persisted and said he could use the grinder and remove the tree and stump! I knew instantly I wanted him for the job. Not only did he come the same day I initially called for a free estimate but he arranged the removal of the tree for the next day!!! Talk about awesome service! And it wasn't a big huge job and that is why I am most impressed, he really wanted the job and it showed. I am so grateful and it looks absolutely wonderful!! Mahalo!!! read more

Rocky and the boys were great. They did an excellent job on cutting back a mango tree, it looks great now, doesn't go over to the neighbors house either. The beginning: My partner and I had called 3 different tree removal/yard work ads we'd seen on craigslist to get free estimates. We wanted them to work on trimming palm trees, removing a bunch of crazy vines and weeds that had taken over our front and back yard, as well as haul away all the branches. Two of them said $600 after being shown the front and back yard that needed work. One said $800, but called back later to say $600. The reason we went with Ohana Tree Services is because the person who runs the service, named Rocky, really impressed my partner during the free estimation process by knowing a bunch of the species of plants by name that we wanted eliminated. Setting the date: Rocky called and checked up on my partner several times, at one point telling him that Rocky was worried he was charging us too low of a fee for the work we'd asked for. That was weird, but whatever. We set the date. Appointment day: Rocky and his crew showed up half an hour late. This didn't bother us since we had the whole morning free. We mostly hung out in the house while the Ohana Tree Services did their thing. With typical yard work noises, they were done within 3 hours of starting after we signed the contract for their services. At the end of their job, they toured us around to show us the service they completed, asking us if we were happy or wanted any additional services for an added on fee (amount depending on service), be we were satisfied. End result: $600 in cash is how we paid them. They did exactly what we asked for! They were clean, professional, safe, affordable, and did a great job! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Our yard looked like a jungle and now the plants can have a fresh start. Find them advertising on Craigslist by searching for "Rocky". He's an expert when it comes to plant matter removal! read more

First of all I researched and got numerous estimates from other tree service companies. Rocky, from OTS was the first one quickest to get back to me to set up an estimate appointment. The day of estimate, he came on time, wrote all the estimate down on a estimate sheet, bottom line price w/ no additional hidden costs. After going through several estimates, no one else came close to his great price. In addition Rocky made room for me on an already booked up work week for them. He came, skillfully cut, trimmed and cleaned up pretty much any tree remnants that was cut down. I Highly recommended this tree service for your tree trimming needs. I would ask for Rocky he will take care of you...any questions drop me a message...... FYI: CASH ONLY..... Check Pictures R1- R6 read more

My trees were getting to tall, and my backyard was overgrown. Rocky and his crew cleared up my property quickly, and neatly. I had rocky give us an estimate and do the work. These guys are the hardest bunch of guys that I know of. There performance and reliable experience speaks for them. They worked from sun up to sun down. They brought there full crew of 7 men and of course the wife(supervisor )Ricky's wife who happens to be the quaility control person. I wouldn't hire anyone other than OTS. They are that good and trust worthy. I highly recommend anyone to look at hiring OTS. As far as I'm concerned they tops them all. I used OTS twice, and both times, they did great work. First was at my house. The previous owner had planted a small jungle just outside the dining room. Nothing too difficult to maintain, except for a grove of giant birds of paradise, which grows in clusters, over 20 feet high. We called around to find someone to thin out the cluster of trees, and chose OTS because they were the most responsive. Rocky and his guys showed up on time, and did a great job removing the trees we had asked him to. They also cleaned the area to look even better than when they showed up! The second time I called OTS was for a major cleanup of my mom's house. She had passed away, and the entire property had been overrun with bushes, renegade guava trees, haole koa trees, and weed grass as tall as sugar cane. There were also many fruit trees in the back that had grown out of control. The ground was completely obscured with thick, dead leaf cover. I knew exactly who to call. I met Rocky at my mom's house for a walk-around of the property and an estimate. I didn't know if it would be possible, but ultimately I wanted the place leveled to bare soil, and just trim the trees in the back. It was a HUGE job. It was literally a jungle that you bushwhack to get through. Rocky said they could do it, and went over line by line with me on the estimate, describing what they would do. We set a date. He said it would take two full days. Rocky called at about the middle of the second day to say they were about done. Ahead of schedule! So I went there for the final walk-through. He had a big crew this time, about 5 or 6 guys, plus a big wood chipper machine and truck. I couldn't believe my eyes. The property had been transformed. And, they literally took it down to bare soil. It was absolutely amazing. No haole koa jungle, no dead leaves or debris, no sugar cane grass, just clear soil! The giant trees in the back had also been well trimmed back as requested. Rocky also educated me a bit on how the haole koa would be a constant problem in the future if I don't keep an eye on it. I appreciated the advice, and have been maintaining the grounds ever since. I would gladly recommend Oahu Tree Service to anyone who needs serious work done to their yard. Rocky is very courteous and professional, a real pleasure to work with! read more

Rocky and Ohana Tree Service were terrific! Am recommending them to all friends and family and will be a repeat customer in the future. I had a large, overgrown lychee that was overhanging both our neighbor's and my house, and a large avocado tree with large branches overhanging mine. I requested 3 quotes - played phone tag with one company for a week who didn't show for a quote, another that was going to come a few days after Rocky, and Ohana Tree Service. I called Saturday morning and Rocky was available to quote the same day. The price was fair and I mulled it over; scheduled an appointment for Wednesday afternoon (day before Thanksgiving). Cancelled the quote from the other company. Rocky and crew arrived on-time, setup quickly, and had both trees cut in under 1 1/2 hours! My wife and I were amazed, as well as our neighbors. Everyone was friendly and the yard was left cleaner than when they arrived (no joke). Everything from the first call to cleanup was professional. read more

Wanted to use OTS again as I've used them in the past for my tree trimming needs and was always very happy with their work. Unfortunately, this time around was a different story. Rocky was very difficult to get a hold of and not very accommodating. He offered me a day and time to cut my tree and when I informed him that the time didn't work with my schedule. By the time I heard back from him I had already done the tree myself. Very disappointing, poor customer service, and I'll have to find another company to cut my trees. read more

Rocky and his team are safe, hardworking and experienced. We had 11 Norfolk Pine (Hawaiian Christmas trees) in our back yard/gulch, some of which had grown to almost 70ft and needed to be shortened to less than 20ft due to safety concerns about the proximity to ours and our neighbor's homes. Their team of 6 worked extremely well together to get the job done efficiently with the least amount of noise disturbance. Each tree's cuts were meticulously planned and executed with the use of commands, signals and cues to ensure everyone was on the same page, aware and safe (very impressive to watch). All the wood and branches were chipped and hauled away and our property was immaculate upon their departure. They were even kind enough to honor our request for a few stumps and slices, going above and beyond with a selection of carefully cut pieces. We really are grateful to have had such a diligent team help us with this crucial home project and would highly recommend them to our family and friends. Mahalo, OHANA TREE SERVICES!! read more

Rocky came right on time to give me an estimate for trimming three trees in our yard. Explained exactly what they would do and what his recommendations were. I began my research for a highly recommended tree trimming company on this site because like many Hawaii households, our home was in danger of being overrun by an invasive 50+ year old mango tree amongst several other issues. Fortunately I contacted Ohana Tree Services after receiving a couple of quotes from other companies. My family and I are unequivocally pleased with the superior customer service provided by Rocky and his tree trimming staff. During our initial consultation and estimate, Rocky made professional, sound and educated recommendations without being forceful. He did not turn into a salesman! This is why we decided to choose Ohana Tree Services. The staff exemplified a propensity for exceeding superior customer service from the onset; each team member from Pon T, the tree trimmers to its leader Rocky were genuinely respectful and polite. No joke. There tree work was impeccable and thorough. They were careful to not create any accidents or damage to our existing garden plants. Rocky was especially accommodating and amenable to frequent alterations to our initial plan of action. He displayed extreme patience when my parents were fickle. Finally Rocky provided immediate follow up on their job performance by calling us for feedback; and even sent a crew to fine tune the final product when the crew forgot a tiny little detail. I highly recommend Ohana Tree Service to anyone who requires tree trimming services for their property. CONTACT THEM FOR A QUOTE!!!
