I feel comfortable with these guys. THey are very knowledgeable, will tell you specifics of the diagnosis, the costs, and how immediate you would need to take care of something. They are not there to rip you off like some of the auto dealer mechanics are. They actually want you to save money but also drive home in a working car. I have an '89 (beater) Mazda B2200 pickup truck that experienced massive brake failure. No crash, but no brakes either. Took it to E.A.T. and Fank said it would need an entire new brake system - master cylinder, wheel cylinders, pads, shoes - everything. (I had no problem believing this as the truck has 218,000 miles on it.) He had to scrounge for parts for a vehicle this old, and came through in in fine style. The vehicle was ready in 3 days as promised and the brakes now work perfectly. Great work done on time for a fair price. Today was my second time visiting Escondido Auto Tech and I will definitely be back again. The staff there is not only knowledgeable, but friendly as well. Their prices are more than fair. Today I was in for a house repair and was told that it might need two parts instead of one. When I came back to pick up my vehicle George informed me that we already had the updated part, therefore we didn't need the second part. I thought that was wonderful and very honest of them, not to put it on even though I didn't need it. On top of all that he said that he noticed my oil was low so he just topped that off for me. Sent a message on Yelp stating my Prius had one wiper blade not functioning. Frank replied to me writhing to me to come in and he would check it out. Went in Frank checked it out grabbed a wrench tightened it up and it was fixed. He said there you go! No charge and I was on my way.
