It was not the first time for me to call Fred, this time to fix my broken AC on my 2016 Elantra. First call was yesterday, and he invited me to come this morning. This morning (at about 8:40 AM), in about 5 minutes he found the problem. Within next 5 minutes he provided me with the way to fix it, and cost of the repair to be finished in about 4 hours. In addition, he inspected my engine and found that the transmission fluid had to be changed, and he did it. At about noon Fred called me to come back to pick my fixed car. This place is NUTS. And I don't mean that in a bad way, I mean, IF YOU NEED AUTO REPAIR, GO TO THIS PLACE. PERIOD. GET YOUR ASS TO MARS AND THEN GET IT TO THIS CAR SHOP. I had multiple problems with my car that literally my dealership, and four other auto repair shops wanted INSANE prices to fix; we're talking $1,000 minimum, upwards of $2,000-$3,000 to fix. And that was just for ONE problem I had, which was the back of my car having this weird part jutting out of it. I needed a general checkup on my car, air filters fixed, oil change, wheel rotation, all that stuff. Turns out my brakes sucked too, which I also asked him to take care of. He did new brakes, new filters, wheel rotation, oil change, windshield wiper fluid fillup and fixed my windshield wipers and the water jets for them, but most of all, he fixed that part of my car that was jutting out. I had been told by other """professionals""" that it would require me replacing my ENTIRE CHASSIS to fix this, and he did it in under 2 hours along with all the other repairs on a busy weekend on a walk-in. He told me he used to do bodyshop work, and I can believe it. THIS DUDE IS AMAZING. GO HERE TO GET YOUR CAR WORKED ON. What a great experience! I needed my front brakes done on my 2017 Kia Forte which was metal on metal and was not looking forward to spending a ton of money. I went by my local mechanic to get an estimate which was $550 per wheel ($1100), so I left that place, went home to research and saw the great reviews about Fair Auto Repair and called and spoke to Fred. He gave me an "estimate" on the phone of $370 for both front wheels to include Brake Pads, Rotors and Labor. I thought No Way in hell and that since this was an Estimate, I'd be paying more or that something else would be found to bump up the cost. I thought for sure with a verbal estimate it would be higher upon paying. Fred also said if I dropped off by 1pm, it would be ready the same day. I called and Fred said the car was done and the price would be as estimated at $370. Over a thousand dollars from other places, so this was just amazing to have a business do a great job at a fair price, because it seems the norm is for Mechanics to charge so much money and gouge the customer. If you're in need of brakes, I would highly recommend Fred. He's a No BS guy, come in, he does the work with a warranty and you leave. More places should be like this! read more

The cruise control button on my 2007 Civic EX was broken so they repaired the button on my steering wheel after they couldn't replace the wheel. They've also did massive repairs to my AC system and repaired the starter of my ignition. I appreciate how he'll show you the parts he's replaced so you know he's being honest. Turnaround time is fast, it's typically same day if you drop off your vehicle in the morning, if they don't have the parts then it'll probably be next day pickup. Note that they don't really have a place to wait long term comfortably, so you'll likely have to have someone pick you up/drop off. My starter would not start, and my brakes would not stop. I really appreciate the Angel that helped me to get the starter fixed (even in the cold rain), so I could get back on the road quickly. I found out one of my brakes was completely broken, and all the others needed the drums etc. fixed, and pads replaced. No wonder it didn't wanna stop~ The emergency brake also did not work at all. When starting it still makes some noise every once in a while, but it starts every time :D When braking it still makes many noises, but it stops! Emergency brake works too. Would definitely return! Really appreciate There's a charger port for many different sorts of phone chargers in the office if you need to charge your phone. I was very impressed with my recent visit to Fair Auto Repair. My major issues were coolant leaking and no ac. Fred is an outstanding mechanic. He diagnosed my car issues and repaired them in a very short time with minimal cost. I had been told by other mechanics that it may cost 1k or more to fix the ac and they would charge $150 to diagnose it. I went several years without ac until I went to Fair. Fred checked for free in a very short time and it only cost a fraction of what the others had told me. Now, I am very happy and ride with comfort. I wish that I had found Fair before I wasted my time and money with unscrupulous mechanics that upsell and overcharge. Fred is very honest and trustworthy as well as a very skilled mechanic. Amazing and honest!! My car was shuddering so I took it in on a friend's recommendation. He told me the ignition coil had an issue and to save me money and to better diagnose the problem, he switched the wiring between different coils and sent me off. The problem went away and I wanted to pay him but he said he won't accept payment for labor until he fixed the issue. Car started shuddering and he fixed it in a super timely manner, showed me how the part failed, the extra services like cleaning the air intake for free, and what I should expect to feel as I drive my car the next couple days.
