Quick service, casual ambiance and great food. It's a cozy place with generous portions of delicious food. I never visited that side of the town unless it's for Bollywood theater or Kati Portland. However this is another gem of a place right across from the two and really worth trying. To top it off, no waiting like Kati. :) I will go back to try them and I hope you do too.

I had a great Take-Out experience here. We had the larb chicken and garlic and pepper pork which is Thai street food. The staff were friendly and attentive. Ambiance is good. I'll definitely come back for dine in. Love Esan on Se Division st.

Well I'm not sure how we never ever tried Esan before but we finally made it!!! I even learned a cool fact that when Macklemore is in town, he gets Pad Thai right here at Esan! So we came with friends who recommended Esan, and who always have great food recommendations. We arrived at 7pm on a Friday evening, and it wasn't too busy when we got there but the service was slow. I ordered an Old Fashioned and my husband had a margarita. My drink took a long while to come but it was good. We ordered fried tofu to start and it was excellent. Definitely light in color and not greasy. I typically don't even eat it but it was so light it was great. I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice because once I'd seen the photos I KNEW it had to be mine. They made it vegan with tofu added and it would have been 5 stars but it was pretty greasy. Still I ate it ALL up because the veggies were nice and fresh and the pineapple was sweet and juicy! My husband had a red curry and it was good. Too spicy for me because I'm a WIMP with any kind of Asian spices lol. But again delicious and fresh veggies. I liked the food and drinks but the service was lacking and I would definitely ask for less or no oil next time. Other than that yum!

We really loved our meal and drinks. Pad Thai was fresh and flavorful and so was the Pad Se Ew. Sweet and quick service too. Cute atmosphere and the loveliest plates. Definitely recommend.

This place has yummy pineapple fried rice and curry. It's not too busy to eat here and they get lots to go orders from different apps. The meal is good for sharing with friends or you can get some leftovers for later.

Overall, this is a cute place and the food was pretty tasty. There are a lot of Thai restaurants in Portland, so this is a good option but not a must visit. The sever was quick and kept our interactions short and there were plenty of people ordering take out. We had the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Curry Noodle Special. The fried rice had decent flavor but somehow all the toppings were on one side of the plate? It was on the sweet side for me personally. The noodles were ok flavor, it was interesting to have the rice noodles served on the side. Usually they get sticky without being in a sauce which did happen during the meal. The curry for it was good but would prefer it over rice to help soak up all the flavor. I thought it had a nice kick to it but my partner who loves spicy food didn't agree.

One of the classic Thai places that's been around for a long time. This location is well decorated in the interior and has outdoor seating. We came here for lunch and ordered a few items to share. The food was tasty as usual and the service was very friendly. The Thai Sausage fried rice and Drunken middle were delicious. The pad woon sen and bbq chicken were also good. This was a good assortment of food to grub on.

A lot of dive bar food is made with beer whether the menu says it or not and it is usually just a tragedy. I get it - drunk folks do not care what they are eating but the menu is about the same at most places. A friend wanted to attend a Shakespeare interactive play here. Since it was starting at 7pm and I live in Beaverton I was not going to have time to get over here and eat so I looked up the bar online. I was curious at the Mediterranean food but also very happy since that is not made with beer. My friend arrived before me and grabbed up perfect seats. We realized it was going to be a full house so we had better order food which was super easy to do. Can I also throw in that on their wall behind the bar they have chips you can just grab from the bartender... FRITOS, which are one of my favorite things. But thank you - just that... I was not drinking and just having soda with the show and some food but I could genuinely see having a few drinks and just grabbing one for a small snack. Our food, even with the bussel busy Friday night, came pretty fast and all the folks taking orders and serving were super friendly, wanting to help. I wanted the chicken gyro but they ran out so I gave their falafel a go - the falafel was a touch on the over mark but was still pretty delicious and I opted for a 'side' salad which I thought was strange to upcharge $3 for until it arrived and was INSANE... so huge! I got a side of onion rings too which were ridiculously good...seriously some of the best damned rings I have had and I could not stop eating them so that, my friends, was dinner... I had to take most of the gyro and salad to go. That salad ...later...I had an avocado I needed to use up at home and with their dressing. It was incredible! Amusing thing is that there is a vegan restaurant my friend had wanted to try near here and we did. Had the WORST experience and this was perfect... when we are over here this just earned itself a place as a go to spot for me. I might even drink here sometime HAHAHAHA!

TPK Brewing is a super fun brewery that Steve and I have enjoyed twice now. There is a lot to love…read morefor me with this brewery. The fantasy and the Dungeons & Dragons themes are really fun and totally calls to me. So therefore with our first experience here I stocked up on a lot of swag- shirts! My first beer with this brewery was a Red Ale or Amber Ale, The Lady of Embers. This was a very enjoyable first time beer with this brewery. Flavor features in this beer are Caramel, a roastiness, maltiness, biscuity and a dry finish. It proved to be a fun beer to try out for the first time and we were eager to come back and try more of their beers. A bit of time passed and we were able to do that. This time we got three different beers of different types to give us a well rounded experience with their beers. Cascade Falls was the first beer on the second experience that we delved into. This beer is a Cream Ale and I haven't had one in a while so I was quite eager to get a hold of another one again. This particular Cream Ale had peaches and vanilla as the primary flavors and they were pretty good. It was sweet but not heavy handed which made this beer pleasant. This beer was a collaboration beer with another brewery, Thunder Island Brewing Company. After that I moved into dark beer territory and got a stout by the name of The Ashbringer. This one I rated very highly on Untappd because I enjoyed the flavor profile so very much! This stout has flavor highlights of roastiness, a spiced presence, coffee, chocolate and some clove. It was a really well made stout...well balanced and one I really got into. I believe actually this was my favorite beer out of the several I have tried. The last beer was a Marzen beer, a type that isn't too terribly common but always a good one when I can get a hold of it. The name of this beer was the Hasta La Raiz. This is a nice light bodied beer that has maltiness, roastiness, some fruitiness and a bit of a floral presence. It was a fun one to try out for sure. TPK Brewing also serves food and it's quite good! We grazed off of several different appetizers here that we really enjoyed. The first one was the Yuca Frita which was Yucca cut into big, thick French Fries sort cuts and we dipped it into a green sauce as well as a pico de gallo type of dip which enhanced the experience. In addition to that we got a beef empanada that Steve and I split along with the same sauces...also excellent and then to round out our snacking here we got the Arepitas De Queso which is a white masa cake mixed with cheese and then deep fried. It also had the same sauces as the previous two appetizers but we were fine with that... we were all about it and deep into it. Steve and loved this place and would be thrilled to come back to enjoy more of their food and beers !

Warm, welcoming, nerdy, and friendly atmosphere…read more Did I mention nerdy? This is almost just as much of a D&D shop as it is a brewery! If you are not playing Magic the Gathering or D&D, you will feel like the 'weird one'! Beers are good, with a couple lagers, a stout, and some IPA's. The food is surprising! You'd think they'd phone-it-in, but there's a great selection of Latin food. Everything from Cubanos to bowls to burritos.
