Decided to give them a chance and signed a 2 years contact for my retail store. Alarm plus 2 camera costed me almost 3 thousands. The camera system broke down just a year and half after. Since i have been on a lot of business trip so i finally gave them a call recently. Was told they no longer provide camera system service and the VCR was an older model. Service guy offered to do as side job for $500, which is a joke. After I told him I can get a complete 7 camera system from Costco for $300 and install it ourselves and how horrible about their after sales service and wanting to completely cancel their service, he then called his company and told me the VCR is still under warranty and will exchange a working one. Few days after I received a call from ER Security and was told it will cost $500 for replacement. There are many security companies out there offering much better deal and service. Regret I recommended them to many friends,but now for sure we will all switch to another company. read more

Folks, be careful this company. They provided horrible and not honesty service. From the beginning,I asked for install sensor for my upstair windows, instead they only installed two motion sensors. Later when I questioned the sales person why your tech guy didn't install the sensor for the windows. By the way, their alarm equipment is not reliable at all, cause after they installed, next day the alarm equipment operated incorrect and I need to bypass some sensors. Regarding the sensors issue,he didn't say anything and didn't say there will be extra fee for that. Finally after long waiting period, it looks like people attracted by their cheaper alarm service fees, so they had extreme busy schedule always, finally they send guys to install the sensors for my upstair windows they supposed to install at the beginning, and finally repaired the alarm system. Guess what, later I received a bill from their office for $450 for the sensors. I believe because of the sales person he made a mistake from the beginning or perhaps wants to lower the price to attract me to use their alarm service, cause at that time I was comparing theirs with ADT alarm service. So he didn't mention any extra charge will be applied. I admitted I made a terrible mistake in this case that using their alarm service instead. It's too late to say or refuse their terrible service cause I've already signed a two years contract with them. But I definitely not recommend anyone to use their alarm service. If you're not listen to my advice, you will suffer what I suffered, eventually ! They're not reliable ! If there's a "0" star ranking, I would give this ERS alarm company a "0" star ranking !! read more

Great service, and great customer service. I had ERS for awhile now and I have never had issues with their alarm. When I finally did, I called customer service, and scheduled an appointment for service. They came out a week later to fix it. During the time my alarm was malfunctioning, they taught me to how to set it up still so I would still be covered, which is great. 10/10 would have technician come back to fix my alarm issue because he was super polite and put on his shoe cover when entering my home. We have been with ERS for about 10 years and have had no trouble. The few times there have been maintenance required, they have been prompt, attentive, courteous and efficient. Just recently, our system went down due to a power outage and they accommodated our schedule to schedule an appointment. worst company I had ever used, they did not respond when the alarm goes off, they are not even watching your house, we paid the monthly fees for nothing. One time I got a false alarm middle of the night, they did not call back to make sure if we are ok, I called the next day, then they apologized and told me the person supposed to be watching had fell as sleep and they will fire him/her. Anyway after my contract over, I give them notice to stop the service, they came in to my property and remove all of my system. read more

This is actually a zero star review, ERS does not even deserve one star. Aside from many of their customer service reps who speak horrible English, their service and products are poor. We signed up for a three year contract since they offered one year free if we prepaid. Within the three years the system has gone haywire about two times. Both times, we had to pay for someone to come out and inspect and additional fees to fix the problem. When our three years was up, the system started acting up again. Again, we called to see what the error code was and was told we had to pay for someone to come out and that we probably have to pay to get a new updated system!! We then said we want to cancel and all of a sudden, the error code disappeared from the panel and the system was working fine again. I am not familiar with how these alarm system works, but it seemed as if they purposely triggered an error code so we would have to pay for an upgrade. We were offered three months free to stay with the company and when we rejected it, their tone of voice immediately changed and they said we will come and take back all of our equipment. This is unheard of!!! The main reason we were not happy with ERS taking back their system is because we would be left with holes in the walls from the panels and motion sensor that they installed. It is stated in small print on the back of their contract that they will take the equipment at the end of the contract, and yes, my fault for not reading the whole contract, but we have been with several alarm companies through the years and NOT ONE company came back to take their equipment at the end of the service. So when they came to install their panels, I did not keep my original ADT panels since I have never experienced an alarm company taking back their equipment. When this was mentioned to ERS, they asked for us to PROVE that they took our ADT panels!!! This blew me off my feet!!!! I was so angry I couldn't even speak! ERS also asked us to prove that we had an existing system, which we were able to with the ADT's invoice and paperwork from the builder. In the end, they told us that we could "go ahead and keep" their system....that they will just send our account to collections. And let me say that all this was over two panels, five window sensors, one motion sensor and two key fobs. ERS just has miserable customer service...for them to ask their customers to prove this and that is wrong. I have referred their company to many clients and when I told ERS that, they wanted the names and addresses to these clients so they can verify it. WOW. When I mentioned this to another former ERS customer that I know, she said ERS charged her to come remove the system upon cancellation!!! Great work, ERS. All you will earn from me here on is a bad review on Yelp and I promise you this story will not end here on Yelp...Congrats on ruining your own reputation! read more

I have had this company for over 10 years and recently thinking about switching over to voip. Call them the first time and talk to someone was told the switch is easy they will send a tech out for no charge. Call back 2nd time ask about which VoIP work well with them and was told italk bb works well but the company I was thing of switching over they are not sure I will have to try it out to find out. All these time was not informed that if I don't use italk bb then a service call charge will be apply. It was not until I switched to a new VoIP company and called them to set up scheduling that they told me..the two girls I talk to, one of them named Janet, was rude and make me feel like they don't want my service, when I ask her is this how you treat your customer of over 10 years, she reply I am telling you this is the device we are giving you....
