ERS changed our alarm phone lines to cellular, while not telling us that the phone line is connected to the elevator emergency phone call. After the elevator yearly checking, we are noticed about it. We asked them how to resume the elevator phone line, but they said it is none of their business. They only care about the fire alarm, they don't care the phone in the elevator at all. I asked about the suggestion, the customer service named Jenny said just call the telephone company for a new line. ERS changed the phone line system and made it unsafe, and they left it be, not professional at all. No responsibal. read more

Jenny has the worst customer service! I requested an appointment for Wednesday morning on Monday and she said that I could not schedule 2 days ahead of time. She said that she would call back on Tuesday to schedule the appointment and she did NOT call back. I had to call them on Tuesday and she basically admitted to not scheduling an appointment even though I asked for one. She said there was now no more appointments for Wednesday morning despite forcing me to call back on Tuesday. She was not apologetic and very argumentative. She later just passed the phone to someone else after she was done talking over me. Unlike Jenny, they were able to schedule me 2 days ahead of time for Thursday morning on Tuesday. I don't know why Jenny lied and wasted my time Jenny made me want to cancel my alarm system and change to a different company despite being with the company for a decade. I've been with ERS for over three years now at a commercial location. Initially, we had a different company come out and they wanted nearly $2000 just to get a set up and it really didn't sit well with me. I found the ERS sticker on the door of the warehouse so I gave them a call. Kenny, our sales rep, came out to service us at only a fraction of the cost. The monthly fee is totally reasonable and service is stellar. Unfortunately, we had three break-ins at that location and the alarm did its job. The police came and we can't really ask for more. We recently moved to a new warehouse and ERS was really good about getting us set up at the new location. We were lacking a lot of key pieces for security, including motion sensors and quality contacts on all the doors, and Kenny again came through for us. I highly recommend this company for reasonable price and excellent service. They are really great for us at commercial locations and I would assume that it's pretty much the same for residential. read more

I have been a customer for about 10 years and I still think the customer service is not that great when asking a simple request like which sensor is going out on my control panel. when knowing my previous panel on the keypad was able to see which one battery might go out, you would think the new one alarm keypad would have about the same feature. but the reps keeps on dodging the question and keep on rerouting me to another customer rep this happened to me 3 calls in a row in the same call tried 2 different languages to find a solution and nothing it was basically hey either call a technician for a fee or figure out yourself. I trustfully don't think that is the solution to solve an issue when you hear a customer ask a question and say previously on there previous control panel they had to ability to do this to it and the new can't which I my side that does not make any sense some feature should be carried over as improvement if there not any improvement what is the pt of changing out my alarm system out in the first place when your previous tech told me to change it out. read more

We been with ERS for many years maybe more than 15- however they fail alot of things BIG TIME that put our office security in danger, FIRST our alarm system was down and there is never a notice or any signal they will receive, we than realize after few month we never have alarm and never got any refund for the money we paid, after when we finally decide to switch to ADT my goodness they told us many of the motion sensor is broken and no one notify us to repair, in the past 15 year they never upgrade our system either, after switching we realize we been living in a stone age security system with ERS , ADT have so many newest technology and cost the same as their 1990 SYSTEM that you don't even get any service. Because of her rudest, unprofessional attitude I'm planning to cancel my service. All these times, ERS has not detected my alarm, they did not have any signal from my location, that's why I didn't get calls from ERS regarding my "faulted" zone issue, until I called them, I was unable to turn on my alarm due to alarm keep beeping from the faulted sensor window! Wasted money when I'm thinking I'm being protected for paying an alarm company, when my alarm is NOT in service! Sensors are going crazy, one after another. I just had the serviced less than a week, now I'm having another faulted zone issue. Per attitude Jenny, they are going to charge each time for service, plus parts if needed. I wish I can give zero star. First, when we decide to cancel this service, they said the paid off fee is 59 but, later they charged me 89. Ok, I paid. Second, they said they need their equipments back, we said sure, come. When they arrive they start take everything. Including we previously own, we stop the technician. He called the office we discussed. They said they need their ALL equipments back. We said we need to discuss with our landlord first, come back tomorrow. Then the officer name ALICE start threaten us. They said they will put our information on some kind website to ruin us. We called the landlord he said, he wants the office to call him. Then this Alice said we DON'T call anyone. Let the landlord call the office. Then she start transferring the call. Finally, we agree to a solution. They take the parts away. NO signature ANYWHERE. Their customer services are fast responding , professional and patient. My alarm was triggered last month, they gave me a call immediately, found my room decoration triggered the alarm. Their technician are awesome, they put shoe cover on before get into house and solve the issue very quick and nice. For those people who complain about cancel policy, I suggest call the office and ask detail. As I know, ERS has 30days notice and need fill out a cancel request. ERS provided security for my house for two years until I recently sold. I was happy with the service, and dealing with Jonny, Jenny and others. I never had any operating problems with the system and found them price competitive. I had many dealings with Jenny, and while many have commented that they find her rude, I found her to be professional and competent, albeit reserved. I think there may be a cultural difference here, she may not be as outgoing or bubbly bubbly, but I enjoyed working with her and she was responsive to any issues I had. Give the lady a break, people! Does she solve your problem and get the job done? She did for me, and that's how I judge her. I chose this company because many on my block had them, and mainly, because of their "Armed Response" sign. This is a deterrent for criminals, and I never had any break-in attempts. Late update on my review. The executive staff Jason Chen since reached out to us. Jason Chen assigned our account to himself and gave us his personal cell phone number for us to contact him. Recent rain initiated a different issue with our alarm system. On Thursday,the panel and land line was unable to stay connected causing the panel to "beep" whenever the connection was broken. Again we reached out to the 800 number staff and got the same response " there's nothing they can do until the next day. We called the office the next day and was promised a call back but they never did. The beeping noise returned in the middle of the night and the nightmare beeping continued My husband messaged Jason. I have been a Protection One customer for over 20 years. I expanded my business, adding a second location, and asks them to quote, reminding them I had three locations on Protection One and to be mindful about pricing on the fourth. It took weeks with constant calls to get a quote that was inflated on install as well as monthly monitoring. The worst part was the weeks we ran with no alarm. Called ERS and their response was almost instant. Big shout out to Kenny. He's AMAZING and took care of all the details including my phone app which still monitors both ERS and one of my homes which is under contract with Protection One. Needed to address an issue to its management, I requested to talk with the manager, no manager is available. Then I asked for the supervisor, no supervisor is available. Then I asked for the owner, the owner's just left.
