Tonight is the second time I've picked up takeout from Eric's and the order was wrong. I ordered Brown rice and hot white rice again. I even confirmed when I picked up my order that I ordered brown rice. This is unacceptable and crummy service.

This is by far my favorite restaurant! The food is always good and the service is always fast. I've been going here for more than 20 years now. They've won a Michelin star and Michelin acknowledgment. Plus award from Yelp, Zagnut, and a bunch of other food rating websites. Everyone I've taken here love this place! Definitely, we're checking out!

Pretty good Chinese restaurant in the now valley neighborhood. We stopped by Friday for the lunch specials and got the fried fish and eggplant lunch specials. Pretty generous portions and it came with egg flower soup. Service was fast and restaurant is much nicer than a traditional hole in the wall Chinese restaurant, but also $2-$3 more expensive than typical Chinese food.

My wife and I live in San Mateo County and travel to the City for Chinese food. The restaurant we go to is Eric's and it's Hunan & Mandarin cuisine. I have been going to Eric's for close to 30 years and it's still Fabulous. We had ordered honey walnut prawns, beef asparagus, vegetable fried rice, sweet & sour chicken, pot stickers and egg rolls. The food is made with all fresh ingredients and the taste and flavors are simply to savor. I only like to dine in and don't do take out at Asian restaurants. I'm not one who likes his food to get soggy from the steam in close containers. I assure you. That you will love it's variety of different dishes and it's quaint ambiance.

Love this gem in the Noe Valley neighborhood of SF. A charm-filled clean lined aesthetic. Friendly and hardworking staff...food is amazing and we are never disappointed with all dishes we have ordered. Love the slice of lemon in the water glass. We so enjoy the combination appetizer platter and add a dish or two and a meal is enjoyed.

Anchor Oyster Bar will likely have a wait all day, most times of day. However, there are lots of shops to stop into nearby where you can still call your name if called.  The reason to stop in? Their cioppino. A hearty, tomato-based seafood stew chocked full of fresh bay seafood like mussels, clams, crab, shrimp, and white fish. It's served hot and with a side of garlic bread. Do yourself a favor and order an extra side or two of garlic bread to sop up all of that delicious soup. We also got the seafood platter to try a variety of oysters and their shrimp cocktail, which were all delicious. Steamed claims in garlic butter was an obvious order. No regrets. Highly recommended for a good, hearty, true San Francisco lunch.

Everybody, servers and cooks, were incredibly helpful and answered all my questions with a smile. I figured if I'm going to an oyster bar, I better try the oysters. I had six meaty, juicy oysters ($22.50) from three different regions. It was fun to compare them from each other. My girlfriend ordered the penne pasta with prawns topped with rich red sauce and melted cheese ($33). It was absolutely delicious and rivals many local Italian restaurants. I also ordered the crab burger and clam chowder ($36). The clam chowder was hot, creamy and not too salty. The burger came with a good amount of crab. It looked like imitation crab, but it wasn't, it was much bolder and heartier. I'd come back here whether for a date night or a solo evening slurping oysters at the bar. The food is pricey, but if you're into quality seafood options beyond fish, I'd definitely recommend it.

Around the downtown area, it sits in it's own restaurant section amongst the busy streets. Regardless of it being busy, a lot of the establishments around are a quick grab and go. When asking for suggestions or even recommendations amongst the mid size menu, the great cravings and great seafood is well within reach and can't go wrong Affordable reach, I should also mention. While poke isn't cheap, the restaurant provides great portions and doesn't slack on the rice or even the sauce to make the poke amazing! Amazing isn't even an understatement at this point especially too! We got our lucky hands on two things. The spicy salmon can be summed in two words; spicy and light. Thankfully, those words go hand in hand. While the spiciness doesn't overpower the salmon, the salmon itself has such a light and natural taste. Paired with green onions and rice, it makes any poke lover recognize each little taste pallete that it has to offer. Secondly, the fried calamari we had a chance of trying also came with a spicy mayo sauce. The calamari itself? Fried to perfection, still crispy when you bite into itself and together with the sauce, it makes for a perfect savory snack!

It looked clean, and so hey how bad can it be? Fun eclectic atmosphere, our waiter called me "Madam" and presented us with menus followed by complementary hot clam juice. Once I started thinking of this place I started to map out hella meal possibilities with me creating dishes like San Francisco's native dish Cioppino and also making some salmon dishes along with some okay shrimp dishes like fried shrimp, skewer shrimps on the barbie, and scallop ceviche. The real feast on Good Friday would be getting the Dungeness Crab paired with some garlic noodles . This place has been a Mission District seafood institution and it's called Sun Fat Seafood company ( a former employee started Basa Seafood Express on 24th street). On a Spring stroll on Mission street between 22nd and 23rd streets I went inside a fresh seafood market. Inside you will see live lobsters in a tank. You will also see Dungeness Crab during crab season and also find of variety of fresh oysters selection along with scallops. You will also see sushi rolls when available along with different types of fishes. This place was the solution I was looking for to replace meat cravings and replace with seafood during Good Friday feast. This is definitely the place if you like it crustaceans and fish cooked or raw in SF.
