The name is right on target: very friendly, professional, knowledgeable and skilled. Great at problem solving and working around issues with an older home with some, shall we say, strange construction choices. THANK GOD FOR BEN!…read more My business computer was "dead" and it was already mid-afternoon and i was ... FRANTIC!!! So i googled "computer repair near me" and thankfully, Ben's store was right at the TOP! ... So I called Ben, and he said "free estimate" (music to my ears) and bring it right over! WOWWWWWWWW! So I was there within the hour and because I'm disabled, Ben was kind enough to remove the computer from my minivan. He agreed with me that it was likely the power supply, but to be sure, he said "I'm going to hook it up and test it." My computer ... TURNED ON! Ben explained it was either the power cord (he gave me a FREE power cord) or I had accidentally hit the wrong control on my monitor that disengaged the signal. I tipped him $25 and rushed back home to test the computer with his new cord and ... BINGO! I'm back in business! THANK YOU BEN!

What had happened was that I had bought a new laptop from LG (~9 months ago) and its' performance was just so weirdly slow from the time I brought it home. In particular, the proxy setting just would not turn off no matter how many times I disabled it. Plus, the PC performance was horrifically slow. Not a good sign and I did a lot of malware scans with no luck on finding any issue. Finally, I got fed up and, after a bit of research, I found Allstate. The guy at the repair shop was super nice and attentive to my observations. The end result was excellent - all the issues were fixed (proxy and computer speed) and my PC is as it should be - fast and efficient and it has been 3 months of excellent performance. Repair price was okay too. Total recommend.
