The appointment went fine, however the billing is WAY WAY WAY out of date. They send you a bill in the mail with no way to pay online. You must call in to pay via credit/debit card and then there is no way to get a receipt unless you go back into the office to get it or pay $20 for them to send you one in the mail (isn't postage only about 80 cents nowadays?). The people who run the billing department work from home, so they can't even print receipts to send a picture of a receipt via email. Therefore, very difficult to get a receipt to get reimbursement via HSA or HRA. This is a very simple thing to get payment set up online. read more

Don't go to this doctor's office, they are greedy and just dropped my insurance plan mid year when patients can't do anything until open enrollment. The office called me a month ago saying they would no longer be "in network" because my Blue Shield PPO doesn't pay them enough (yet I pay Blue Shield $1626 a month for this PPO plan.) This office claims they can renegotiate their contract any time so beware they might drop you too. I had been one of their patients for almost 15 years. Just now they directed me to call them back if I get a new plan that they accept, as if I would ever trust them again to not cancel any other plan mid year. Greedy doctors and poor communication (they claimed the contract was renegotiated a year ago but they never notified me so I could have looked for a new plan.) Now the soonest available appointment with my new "in network" doctor is not until October 3. read more

I went to Dr. Kao because my ear hurts. After 2 seconds check, he decided there's no infection everything looks normal, the problem was my jaw that I need to go see a dentist. He told me to take otc ibuprofen 3x a day for a week and guaranteed my pain will be gone. Did you actually graduate from a med school? It's very embarrassing when a free YouTube video has more credibility than a doctor in a hospital. I paid $150 for your 5 minutes ridiculous consultation. Unbelievable. read more

Clearly not everyone has had the same excellent experience, but I found Dr. Waki to be the top of the top in the world of doctors. I was referred to him by my doctor after experiencing a swollen throat that I couldn't fight off. Within seconds of examining he knew what to do. I went through a not terrible but still rough procedure but felt 100% better as I walked out of the office 20 minutes later. He handled it and I have been cured and perfect ever since. Huge respects and appreciation to Dr. Waki's assistant Chelsea. She saw it all go down and provided me solid comfort in a tough time. Best of the best. The front staff was very welcoming and friendly. Clean office, small parking lot but more space in the lower garage. Being right by the CVS is appealing too. read more

I have called the office several times and left messages however no one returns my calls. I feel bamboozled. I saw Dr. Kao. I have sensitivity to an ear and had an infection prior gone with antibiotics from primary doctor. But to be on the safe side I decided to schedule an with a specialist. I made an appointment ending of May and my appointment was ending of July and only for the Dr. Kao to tell me I am fine that I currently have nothing and that at that time in May, I may have had an infection but at the moment I have nothing. My copayment out of pocket was $162.42, gone times are tough and honestly it hurt wasting that money. I do not recommend Dr Voung. After several visits and a procedure I do not feel heard or understood by him. My visits are always fast and antibiotics seem to be the only order of action, even though prior to my last visit, I had three rounds of them. My questions are often dismissed or brushed off. I was having issues with my ear this summer and tried getting a referral and finally got one after the third try. My appointments were with Dr. Krazinger who was nice and was able to diagnose my ear issue in ten minutes and provide an effective solution to the problem (side note: I'd gone to urgent care, my primary doctor and a nurse practitioner and nothing worked hence the referral. Just get a referral right away). I had three visits within a month and each visit my ear got better by ten fold! The staff were all polite and keep things moving quickly. Their office is on Harbor Blvd. east of Bastanchury (very close to St. Jude) and the view from the office is of Sunny Hills which is nice. I will DEFINITELY come back if I have any further issues and highly recommend Dr. Krazinger. read more

Dr. Waki and Sugihara and surgical center staff couldn't be nicer. My kids have gotten ear surgeries here 3 times now and that has never been the issue. Their front desk though is always so rude and I just cannot understand it. Every time I call they are unhelpful and seem inconvenienced to be getting a call. Scheduling is impossible. If you leave a voicemail you never get a call back. When I've waited in the waiting room and watch them interact with patience it is awful. They are just so rude. We have been regular patients for 2 years and I am over it. Unfortunately I can't keep going back to them even though their doctors are great. read more

I had a septoplasty that Dr. Waki botched. Making matters worse, I contacted his office to notate that my breathing was still impaired. I was told to come see him in 6 months. I ended up paying out of pocket to have a follow-up septorhinoplasty procedure done to correct my septum. The follow-up doctor had to operate for over 5 hours to fix the fact that my septum collapsed, not to mention the fact that my nasal bridge was more crooked as a result of Dr. Waki's initial procedure. read more

We sat down and watched as numerous patients walked in then they got called back one by one. Each waiting for about 5-10 min. After we had been there 45 min I politely asked how long it might be. The receptionist said we were next. For the next 15 min we watched 2 other patients walk in and they got called back. I had enough. I asked for our co pay back and left. I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience here. I was referred by my PCP to Dr. Waki for recurrent strep tonsillitis. While Dr. Waki was fantastic throughout the process of preparing for my tonsillectomy, the clinic's management left much to be desired. Positives: * Dr. Waki was thorough and professional, and the surgical team (front desk staff and nurses at the surgical center) was excellent on the day of my surgery. Challenges with Management: 1. Surgery Scheduling: * My insurance approved the surgery quickly, and they even called the clinic to provide verbal authorization. However, the clinic required a physical authorization and was unresponsive to calls, often going straight to voicemail. * Scheduling the surgery was incredibly inconvenient as they only book surgeries a month out. I had to be persistent, frequently contacting the clinic via MyChart since phone calls weren't returned. 2. Leave of Absence (LOA) Forms: * I sent my LOA forms in September and was told to bring them to my pre-op appointment. Despite them having these forms for a month, they weren't completed until the day of my surgery--after the procedure. This gave me no opportunity to review the forms. * While the forms were ultimately provided, they were improperly filled out (signature in the wrong spot and missing an office stamp). When I asked about the stamp at my post-op appointment, I was told the office doesn't have one, which seemed odd. I also had to pay $15 for this incomplete form. 3. EDD Forms: * I sent my EDD forms via MyChart the day after surgery and paid an additional $15 because the forms weren't submitted together with the LOA forms. I was told these forms would take 1-2 weeks to process. * At my next follow-up, I asked for an update and was assured they'd be done by the end of the week. However, EDD informed me they hadn't received the forms and sent me a physical copy with a 10-day deadline. * I called the clinic daily that week and sent MyChart messages, but no updates were provided until Friday, when I was told the issue had been escalated to management. MyChart messages also went unanswered for over a week, which is still unanswered. Out of frustration and financial necessity after 3 weeks of waiting, I filled out the medical provider forms myself (a task I do regularly for my patients, typically within 1-2 business days). I brought the completed forms in person and only needed Dr. Waki's signature--which meant I effectively paid $15 to complete the forms on my own. Overall: While the medical care I received from Dr. Waki and the surgical team was excellent, the clinic's administrative processes were frustrating and inefficient. Delays in communication and poor management caused unnecessary stress, particularly with time-sensitive documents that affected my finances. I hope the clinic addresses these systemic issues to improve their patients' experiences in the future. read more

Such a caring, knowledgeable staff. I have been seen by three of the doctors here... Dr. Vuong, Dr. Sugihara, and Dr. Waki. I was impressed at their thoroughness and how well they answered all my questions. I also was impressed that they had read my file before entering so that they understood my case. My husband had seen Dr. Sugihara after complications from brain surgery and he knew all about his surgeries. I also appreciated the punctual communication I had with Dr. Vuong's assistant, Chelsie. I am thankful for the doctors and their competent and caring staff...Chelsie, Dori, and Amanda. It does take awhile to get in to your first appointment. Unfortunately I was put on several long holds while the staff scrambled to find basic insurance information. I un how my insurance works but this front office had no clue. They are rude and snappy. Called the doctors office because of an incident that occurred causing injury to my child. Although our insurance didn't cover the visit, it was OK because we paid a fee to see Dr. The staff was quite accommodating, and even fit us in as new patients for the same day! Very clean office and quite thorough, and Very patient. The doctor is incredible and very knowledgeable and sharing and even allowed us to ask as many questions we had. This doctors office, specifically Dr Sugihara and Dr. Waki and staff member Amanda are the most incompetent medical "professionals" I have experienced. They have consistently shown themselves to be uncaring and unable to complete basic tasks correctly like paperwork and referrals. When confronted, I was given a two week turn around time to resubmit a simple referral (which they previous sent to an out of network imaging center). Do not go here if you are looking for decent care and competency. I urge you to go elsewhere. Dr Sugihara will not listen and interrupt you as you speak, even when asking him to stop, he couldn't. Amanda has no clue what she is doing and is condescending and nasty. Dr Waki said "if you can talk, you can work" when I asked for an accommodation so I could continue to work without being in pain. My family and I have been patients of Dr Waki's for over 10 years now. I have had ear tubes as a child and needed them placed again 3 yrs ago after a severe ear infection. He walked me through the entire procedure as he was preforming it. His bedside manners is excellent. I also suffer from allergies and sinus infections. His knowledge and understanding of my symptoms along with his expertise in medicine and new medication on the market has left me feeling healthy during the seasons I suffered the most. My husband had been battling several respiratory issues when he was referred to Dr. Waki. Dr. Waki addressed his problems, and presented my husband with a proposed course of action -- he ended up having sinus surgery in December 2018. Fast forward to now, July 2019.....my husband is SO much better in general, breathing better, has more energy, and the topper, his sense of smell (and along with that, taste) are returning! So... I went to Dr. Waki for pain in my ear in April 2022. He could not find anything wrong with my ear. I went back for a second and third appointment, still complaining of ear pain. So he decided to do an MRI. The results were normal and I was sent on my way. I almost felt crazy or like a hypochondriac because I had ear pain, fluid weeping from inside my ear and bad sores on the exterior of my ear lobe and he couldn't find anything wrong. Fast forward to now (January 2023) and I am still having the same problems. I went to a dermatologist and she took a culture and discovered that I have a staph infection!! I have suffered for almost a year with this! Shame on you, doctor. Seriously, why couldn't you come to this conclusion? I spent so much money on co-pays at your office because you came highly recommended!! You completely failed me. read more

Their nursing/office staff is TERRIBLE! Not only did they tell me a different time than they actually scheduled me (for my NEWBORN), they were so incredibly rude and unhelpful when I showed up on time to the wrong appointment time. I drove in from diamond bar and messed with his schedule to get a procedure that he needs to NURSE (pretty freaking vital!) and they were just soooooo unhelpful. Going to a different doctor tomorrow because they couldn't even tell me when to come back. This isn't a cosmetic procedure to be so whatever about the time he needs. And this is all after having to wait a week and a half from when I originally thought the procedure was going to be. So frustrating. read more

I'm giving this a 1 star because his staff put the wrong information in , they make appointments but make you wait over 1 hour to see the doctor. The Doctor Eric Waki is very unprofessional, just came in said something in the line of hi hello your nose is giving you problems, that fast , didn't address the elephant in the room which was me waiting 1 hour and 18 minutes. He suggested Il he put a camera in my nose so he put some dilation stuff in then took off came back 40 min after. This idiot couldn't comprehend that I have another appointment. I told him 7 times I have an appointment at 4. I got to the Doctor's offices at 12:45. I eneded up leaving and coming back so he could remove the cotton balls in my nose. It would be a huge mistake to trust this guy with your health if he can't even keep an appointment in reasonable time frames. He triple books all his appointments because he just wants a paycheck. My primary doctor prescribed me antibiotics before but I really wanted to go to specialist at this time and searched online and find Dr. Eric Waki. I was at the office Friday 4/17/20 at 10:30. Dr. Eric Waki just looked to my ear once and prescribed me antibiotics. My primary doctor can do something like that for less money. What a waist of time and money!!! read more
