Something is very off here. "I presented with ongoing head, face, and neck symptoms. I came to have my sinuses looked at and evaluated. During the visit, the physician diagnosed me with TMJ despite my objection and lack of prior history. When I stated I did not agree with this diagnosis, he responded dismissively and said 'fine, don't listen to me!" He applied pressure to my jaw causing pain and stated this confirmed TMJ. I felt dismissed, distressed, and that my concerns were not appropriately evaluated. He prescribed anti-inflammatory medication and muscle relaxers with hand written prescriptions and antacids that were prescribed electronically which I found strange. I was told to come back for testing. I will not be returning. I wish I would have checked his medical license prior to visit. read more

My daughter was seen by her primary care physician for ear pain and blocked ears due to wax. Her doctor treated her for an ear infection based on her symptoms and referred us to a local ENT. I contacted the ENT and they could not see her until May! I called a few more ENT Specialist in the Upland, Claremont area and it was the same. I contacted Dr. Scott's office and they were able to get her in within a few days. We met with Dr. Scott today and he was great! Very thorough. He prescribed a few medications and over the counter recommendations for my daughter, whose allergies have been severe this year. He then addressed her plugged ears and was able to remove the wax blockage quickly. My daughter is so happy and feels great! She can her so clearly. It is shocking that this place has not been shut down. The nasty attitude and foul mouth of the receptionist who so proudly shouted her name to me when I asked who I'm speaking with SUSIE was also classy enough to challenge me to an in person altercation when I called her out for being rude and unprofessional when she hung up on me because my 89 year old father who urgently needs to see an ENT is "too much trouble ". I asked why she wouldn't accept him as a patient and she said I just don't want to", she said she runs the place and she answers to no one. After this highly upsetting exchange I started to dig into this so called doctors office and found many complaints of verbal abuse, rude behavior, hanging up on people and FRAUD. I have been working with Dr. Scott for a long time now (years) and have nothing but positive things to say all around! Bedside manner, his knowledge, his work, the office staff to billing Zero issues! My journey started because of migrane issues that No other Dr could solve and found out it was all related to sinus and TMJ issues. Do not go there. This doctor did not warn me of possible side effects including empty nose syndrome. I am worse off than before I got the turbinate surgery. I am still bleeding and my surgery was in October. Thank God I only did one nasal turbinate instead of both. I can now only walk a couple hundred feet without having trouble breathing. I constantly choke. I feel like I am gasping for air. Hopefully, I will heal. But for now I am miserable and my quality of life has severely disminished. read more

I went to Dr. Scott four years ago (March 2017) because of my ears closing up. Every doctor I went to stated "there was nothing wrong with my Eustachian tubes, and that I just need to take Zyrtec or Zyrtec D". This review is for the front office. I called today to see if I could make an appointment for my ear pain. The lady who answered the phone is the reason why I'm leaving this review. She informed me that my insurance is out of network. She took down my info, called my insurance company and called me back to let me know what my out of network benefits are and what the appointment would be as an out of network visit. I'm looking for an in-network ENT but, based upon my experience with the front office, I would definitely become a patient if they become an in-network provider. read more

My first time visiting this ENT specialist's office. Dr. Terry Scott was great and thorough. But I cannot say the same thing about his staff name Susan. Had a co-pay of $50 and asked if I can get billed this one time before coming in which they approved. Made a second appointment for a test. Received a reminder call to confirm the appointment, told staff that I needed to cancel. The next following day I received another call but this time from a Susan. She called to ask why I canceled the appointment. I didn't want to explain to her why I canceled but felt pressured to give her a reason so I gave her one that was very personal. Soon after I gave her the reason she stated this "Well than we need to collect the copay you said you were going to pay" I told her I will pay it. Never have I not ever pay a co-pay. Her demeanor of requesting the co-pay was humiliating and upsetting to me. It bothered me so much that I had to call and speak to her again to let her know how I felt about that conversation and added that I will no longer need their services due to the conversation I had with her. Hopefully the person whose in charge of this business reads this. Your receptionist is the first person your patients talk to, if their rude an not courteous maybe you should find a replacement so you don't lose business. I called with a PPO insurance an just finding your establishment online, Liz was incredibly rude an hung up when I was not even done talking, I called back an asked for her name an told her she's not very courteous as I wasn't finished asking questions about availability and she just said "okay... okay..okay! an hung up! I always had breathing problems and got a turbinate reduction surgery 5 years ago overseas which only temporarily alleviated my snoring, as well as breathing problems. Due to constant restless nights, I looked for an ENT doctor and happened to run into Dr Scott. He checked and saw that my previous doctor only worked on the front turbinates and he suggested that I was a great candidate for laser and radio therapy surgery. He did my left side, as so I could breathe on my right and then vice versa. CT scan showed a huge improvement, as well as my snoring as stopped completely and I wake up feeling very restful. I have had sinusitis for years and dealt with severe congestion and sinus headaches on a daily basis. I had the 2 turbinate reduction procedures over the last 3 months and what a huge difference it has made!! Another complaint about shady and untruthful financial counselling. I suggest you also read the first review and be wary of the second planted one. I went to Dr.Scott two years ago to have two rather major procedures done and am now writing this review because I have been slapped with a large bill out of no where two years later. I am a student and was hesitant to perform these at that time due to financials. He was out of network and understood my financial situation. I chose him because he promised me that he would work with me and account for the difference in the in/out deductibles. I repeatedly asked him what the costs would be for the entirety of the procedure, and he said there would be none beyond his clinical costs When I called his office, the insurance manager at his office was extremely rude, hostile, and impatient with me and refused to acknowledge the promise made by the doctor. I asked to see if I can talk to him in person, and she absolutely refused to let me talk to him unless I paid $150 out of pocket to have a patient visit. I was absolutely appalled by her treatment as it was unreasonable and unprofessional. So now I'm stuck with a large bill two years later that I can't even talk to the doctor about. You can go to this clinic if you are planning to pay out of pocket. If you have insurance and he cuts you a deal, double check everything and make sure it's in writing with his letterhead and signature. I don't think anyone deserves this kind of service and deception. Do your research. There should be other ENT doctors that have better reviews around the area. read more

I walked in very dizzy... with nausea, fatigued... I was very light headed. Dr. Scott examined me for what we felt was Vertigo. He was very thorough... taking well over an hour with my husband & I to really be sure we knew what he was checking for... as this could be caused by several factors. Who knew? Dr. Scott has a wonderful bedside manor and was very interested in my symptoms & overall health. I was referred for a couple of other test (just to be sure) at Casa Colima, prescribed a couple of medications that have made my life so much easier today and asked to return after my tests for a final evaluation. Dr. Scott is an amazing doctor. He is straight to point no-nonsense and incredibly knowledgeable. I suffered chronic nosebleeds. He ran some tests including skin allergy tests, visual inspection of my nostrils, and MRI. Thank god it was not anything serious and he was able to determine it was from allergies. Based on his medical opinion he recommended surgery on my sinuses. He was incredible helpful in explaining the procedure and potential side effects. Post-procedure, it was incredibly painful but was everything the doctor said was to be expected. I've had very positive results from the experience and would highly recommend him. Doctor Terry Scott is a wonderful ENT. He took time to explain the process of diagnosis and my options for treatment (including laser surgery). From start to finish my expectations were exceeded. From allergy and airflow testing to setting up my CT scan, explaining test results and working with my insurance (even though he is out of network). He and his staff made sure I was prepared for the actual surgeries which were done in stepwise fashion which made sense to me. I had infection stuck in my sinuses so it was logical to open the sinuses and allow them to drain first before correcting my deviated septum in a later surgery. I am currently 5 weeks after my final surgery and breathing so much easier already. I am still healing but even at this early stage in recovery I can honestly say I am glad I decided to go through with treatment with Doctor Scott. read more

Doctor Scott was absolutely amazing! I have been getting horrible strep throat infections at least once a month since I was 19 years old. Constantly being sick like that was seriously affecting my quality of life and It was really hard constantly having to take off work until I recovered. And everything changed when he removed my tonsils. I haven't gotten sick since, and it's been 9 months! I'm not gonna lie and say the recovery was fun, but I my recovery was a lot better than many people I have seen go through this procedure as an adult. I had no complications and pain started to go away after about a week or so. He was great from throughout the whole process. He was also the first doctor to figure out/believe that I have asthma. Getting treated for this has seriously improved my day to day quality of life. I also had a history sinus infections, so he recommended that he laser my turbinates in my sinuses to help improve my breathing and my sinus flow as well as fixing my deviated septum! I went to Dr. Scott for my nasal and breathing problems and received a Endoscopic Sinus Surgery along with Turbinate Reduction. Instantly after the surgery I felt progress in my breathing, and continued to see progress as time passed The human resources staff is very accommodating with regards to billing and setting up appointments. I didn't see the doctor yet, but I called them and ask if the doctor is the right major who can fix my broken nose or not, the one who talked to me on the phone only said I have to see the doctor first. I ask her my problem is bone but not allergy or snooze so I need to make sure if the doctor could fix bone problems. She still want to pull me in the office but not answer my question. Then I check few ear nose & thour reviews. There all talk about how the doctor does not work professional and only cost money. Then I fingered out this is a major which just unprofessional. Then I choose one doctor in Covina and take a call. At least the nurse told me they won't see me till my nose has broken after 5 days because they couldn't tell what's happened with the bruise.
