STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!!! I was referred to this doctor on Monday when I went to St Joes ER. I have a large mass in the left side of my sinus cavity and a vascular polyp on my right and am having such difficulty breathing. I originally sought care in Corona, but after my CT scan and seeing the surgeon they said they were not equipped to handle the surgery and were going to send me to LA which is too far for mw to drive. I was given Dr Goufman's number from St Joseph's ER and called and made an appointment discussing this with Jessica(she was wonderful) and was set up with an appointment for Wednesday with the doctor. I filled out all the paperwork beforehand and got to my appointment early. I was brought back in the room. When the doctor came in I explained everything that had been happening.... Several trips to the ER for severe recurrent nose bleeds, that the doctors in Corona couldn't treat me further and I handed him the CT scan report. He looked at it and said that I needed to go back to the original doctor that had already been treating me. I explained again it was too far out and I needed a new doctor/facility closer. He rudely threw my paper back at me and said "I wont treat you.... You have already seen another doctor" as I was asking him "what about a second opinion???? He literally ignored me and walked out the door!!!!! I am a retired RN that has worked with so many doctors over my lifetime and I have NEVER been dismissed and treated SO horribly!!!! Jessica was present and I could tell she also felt really bad for how he treated me. I am so sorry that you have to work for such an insufferable man. You deserve better as do all his patients. I cant believe anyone would go back to him ‍ Nobody should have to experience this kind of treatment.... especially someone that has been suffering with such a condition, trying to receive some care and compassion!!!! I want to thank Dr Goufman for his poor bedside manner and blatant disregard for his patient of 20+ years, who when in need during an emergency with BPPV vertigo and a referral from her general practitioner, would not see her despite having an empty office and request to give her sons's appointment in his place. I'm so glad I found this Ear Specialist, Dr. Dimtry is exactly what I was searching for! I had a clogged ear for around 5 months and I didn't want to go see a doctor but my right ear started feeling very uncomfortable, then I went to Dr. Dimitry and he had all the proper equipment. Clean office, super nice staff - thanks to them for calling me when someone cancelled to give me a sooner appointment. After Dr. Dimitry drained my ear I felt like a new person. If you have never cleaned your ears with a doctor I highly recommend you do; I felt really unbalanced and constantly feeling dizziness at the gym, after my cleaning it all went away! read more

Mean and SUPER unprofessional receptionist staff. -We came to this place by referral from the ER my partner had an issue with his throat. Because the doctor didn't want to go into the ED the physician from the ED called his office and verified 5 times that they would make an exception to see him even though they didn't take his insurance. We went in the morning and we were told that we needed an appointment after discussing it with the receptionist in the front she said they had a spot avail for 2 but that they didn't take his insurance after explaining the situation she said nothing after about the insurance again. We came back for our appointment and saw the doctor very nice man. After the appointment the receptionist said it'd be 50 dollars. The reception then went to the back and told an older woman with glasses the situation and she said well we don't take his insurance I then said okay I'll call the ED because they specifically said they would see him. I guess this didn't sit well with the older woman in the back so she tells the receptionist that tell them to "leave and never come back". EXCUSE ME ALL BECAUSE SOMEONE IN YOUR OFFICE DIDNT DO THEIR JOB. YOU COULDN'T WAIT FOR ME TO SPEAK WITH THE REFERRING DOCTOR SO THEY COULD ALSO CLARIFY. It's not like they're taking it out of her paycheck, The poor receptionist couldn't even repeat what she said she looked so embarrassed and lady from the back says again "leave and never come back". We're beyond pissed off this is super unprofessional. We never even once said we wouldn't pay we just said we would call the hospital to clarify the situation and they immediately resorted to banning him from ever returning. It's not like we went out of our way to pick this doctor it was an emergency situation and the ED said he was our only option. If they hate their job they need to find something else. read more

This doc is great but ended up referring me to a infectious disease doctor who refused to see me and didn't provide a reason why he wouldn't see me. Their office didn't offer an alternative. My wife and I are still suffering 6 months later, desperately trying to find an infectious disease doctor that will see me soon instead of scheduling out 1 year from now. read more

I've had occasional problems with ear wax buildup, but never sought professional help until I found myself with a complete blockage and pain this morning. I was referred to this office when another office was unable to see me for a week. I called in the morning and was able to be seen later the same day, nice! Dr. Goufman is a caring, no nonsense doctor. He is thorough and listens to your input. I've had sinus problems for years, and rather than jumping to surgery he is going through the less invasive/severe interventions first. I like that he shows you your CT/x-rays and explains how everything is working and what could be improved. The office is not over crowded and the wait times are short. He suggested that I use a small pen-sized TENS unit, which I had already. I used it on my neck for a week and now I am pain free - 2 months later. Dr. Goufman is the best! I had the feeling of a lump in my throat and Dr Goufman took a look and concluded it was acid reflux. He referred me to a gastroenterologist and added his name to my endoscopy order. He kept in touch with the GI doctor just to make sure that his diagnosis was correct and when I went back for a follow up he made sure I understood the test results and how to take all the medication. Worst doctor's office! My boyfriend had a car accident on January 29th and he went into the hospital for a broken nose. They recommended him to this office so we called since Monday and the lady who answered the phone was so rude I'm sorry but if you hate your job so much then just leave because no one needs that type of attitude especially when they're in need of help or in pain. We called that day and she simply cut us off half way and was like no there is no appointments without even listening, we then called every day until SHE decided to finally care and she asked us to go in on Monday the 7th a whole week later. Like I'm sorry but if we were dying they would simply just throw us out on the street for a week ? We called that morning, yesterday, and the same b***** lady answered the phone excuse the language but that's all she is she's a lady who hates her job. We called that day and she's like no come back tmr so we came back on the Tuesday and when we walked in she's like why are you here, what do you need. She was picking her nails when we walked in so I'm sorry if we bothered your picking dirt out of your nails time but we clearly needed assistance. She was so bothered we walked in and was like sit over there I'll call you when the doctor is here. We proceeded to wait 2 hours and the doctor comes who also let me tell you if you go into healthcare and hate people please get another job because your patients do not need to hear what you want and an attitude when they need help clearly they're recommended to you because you're "the best" but yah maybe the best at pushing your patients aside and not caring because that's the only thing I saw she was good at. He didn't even care to listen to what we said before he's like no I can't do that bye and shoved the papers into our faces. I went to see Dr. Goufman about a throat issue I'd been having that was escalating over almost a month. After going to urgent care while I was on the road, I came back and went to him to get this issue looked at. His staff was very nice to get an appointment scheduled quickly, and I went in. If you're like me, you go into a doctor's office expecting a waiting room of people, going in late to your appointment, and then having a rushed appointment with the doctor. NOPE. Empty waiting room, which baffled me, staff took me in a few minutes before my appointment, and the doctor was more than happy to sit and talk about the issue, listen to all of what was going on, and give me the best option for treatment. In the end, after a year of going through this time after time, trying to treat it without surgery, we both gave up and it became necessary. He was not quick to wanting to go for the surgical answer, but he was also not going to drag it out. I went in for surgery, and it went perfectly. He prepared me for what the surgery would be like, what recovery would be like, and because of this I was able to prepare and be ready. You're in good hands with Dr. Goufman. He is knowledgeable, experienced, and keeps committed to your care. His staff is professional, organized, and gets it all taken care of.
