We were told by various other providers that it's "just allergies", and to give him Claritin and Flonase. After over 2 years of these medications with very minimal results, we were finally referred to Dr. Huoh. Dr. Huoh validated all of our experiences and concerns, and was able to really answer questions and explain what was going on with my son! We finally had some real answers. Turns out, my son's tonsils were huge! This was the real issue, not allergies. He removed my son's tonsils and adenoids on Monday 5/12, and recovery so far has been great! Already, my son is sleeping SO much better and can finally breath through his nose. We definitely recommend Dr. Huoh and would do it all over again. I realize that they are older and many ailments are a natural part of the aging process, however, they're still people and they're still suffering. It's just downright cruel not to listen to them (really listen, not just feign interest) and pass them onto someone else. Well, Dr. Goland didn't do that. He listened, asked my Dad to repeat answers just to make sure he understood correctly, and did some testing right there and then. Dr. Goland outlined a complete course of action and I'm hopeful that my Dad will get better in time.

If you make an appointment with him make sure you clear your day because its going to take extra time (in a good way). Expect to wait for him, he will probably run late because he is very thorough with EVERY patient. He will go step by step, organ by organ, and ask you what your symptoms are. This is not a 5 to 15 minute visit doctor that doesn't listen. You won't have to talk too much because he asks you very direct questions. On your part, you better know your symptoms so you can clearly communicate that to the doctor. He will analyze your symptoms and come up with a treatment plan. I felt like all my issues were addressed and dealt with. He reminds me of a small town doctor that takes time, he is definately not a clock watcher. The lady Maria that works with him is amazing as well. She will tell you in the beginning that there might be extra waiting for him so bring a book, jot down your symptoms, watch YouTube and be ready. It took me a month and a half to make an appointment to see this doctor and it was worth it. He's not the type of doctor that's going to baby you and coddle you, he gets right down to business. Be ready to answer questions definitively. Lastly, he is an educator. He empowers you with information so you're not thinking you have cancer or some crazy stuff you looked up on the internet. It feels good to have information and answers. This is right up my alley.

The first time I tried calling their office, it took 6 tries before I actually got to talk to the receptionist. And let me tell you, she is a character. The receptionist is extremely sarcastic when she talks to you and she cuts you off mid sentence. I've called on two separate occasions and both times have been the same. She may think she's being nice but it's very condescending. According to my husband, Dr. Levy was nice and professional, but wasn't able to help my husband with his health concern and ended up referring him to an out of network rheumatologist (even though we got referred to Dr. Levy through providence), so I had to call back to get the receptionist to fax over the visit notes to a Providence office in order to continue my husband's care. While on the phone with the receptionist, she said "what am I doing with this" and I responded "the visit notes need to be faxed" and she said "I'm not talking to you". So while she's on the phone with me, she's having a side conversation with someone else? I hope she faxed over what I needed so I don't have to attempt to call this office again.

I've dermatologist, other allergy, doctors, holistic practitioners etc and completely exhausted all my options. Office staff were very helpful on the phone when I had questions before booking the appointment. My theory was that I've possibly been coming into contact with something I'm allergic to that keeps causing this flare up to be angry so I decided to call around and see who could get me in for a patch test. I specifically was looking to make sure Nickel, silver and gold were on this test. I must have called 4 places who said they couldn't offer that for me & the other 5 places had some outrageous office charges being cash patient. 1 other place wanted to charge for consult + patch test, have me come back in 2 days and pay again so they can exam the patches & then come back the following day and pay again so they could tell me the results. SMH. I finally came across Dr. Songs office and they were able to get me in within a few days of inquiring, I had a consultation + the patch test + follow up and a thorough breakdown as to what I'm allergic to for under $360. He not only LISTENED to me but he was really trying his best to figure out the cause and help with my issue. Moving forward I'll only be referring my friends and family to his practice.

Six years ago I had a primary septorhinoplasty with turbinate reduction from cosmetic surgeon Dr…read more Yoo in Irvine. Dr. Yoo had said he couldn't promise perfection but he could improve my nose 80%, which ended up being accurate. Due to complications with my antibiotics post-op, I ended up hospitalized. While in the MemorialCare hospital, Dr Peter Nguyen came into my room and went over my MRI and CT scan of my nose and was very animated, practically shouting that I had been botched. Needless to say, his passionate and enthusiastic demeanor and frustration on my behalf convinced me that he was telling the truth and was knowledgeable. The notes from the ER also noted a deviated septum immediately after my surgery, so I went to get a second opinion from Fountain Valley ENT Dr Thanh Van Nguyen. Dr. Thanh Van Nguyen said that I had a complicated deviation and she couldn't have done a better job herself, and that Dr. Yoo was respectable in his field. However, 6 years later my PCP asked me if I ever considered correcting my deviated septum-my breathing is about 50% improved but minus the rhinoplasty, it looks like I never had any work done at all to correct it! My PCP said that a proper ENT would be able to easily correct it as the primary surgery apparently wasn't thorough enough. It got me thinking about how Dr. Peter Nguyen was the ONLY doctor out of the 3 specialists I saw who recognized that my nose surgery didn't actually correct the root issue sufficiently, and he told me this only a week after my surgery. He might be eccentric but I would trust what he says because 6 years later I am seeing that he was right!
