New patient. I arrived early to fill out paperwork. I waited about an hour before I saw the Dr. Explained my symptoms and he only looked in my ears. I continued to tell him my issues. I had to ask him to check my throat and neck glands. He never even checked my nose. Told me age and genetics. Hmmm then I had to pay $5 for parking because I was too long at the office. After 4 appointments with another ENT group that was not capable of diagnosing and resolving my problem, I wa referred to Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee spent time going over my recent ear infection issues and the meds I had been prescribed by another doctor. It took the doctor less than a minute to " clean the wax" from my ear. a month later my regular doctor told me I had a lot of wax buildup and she spent over 15 minutes cleaning both ears. That's a Doctor Who cares about her patient. Early December I had an appointment and when I got a call late November to confirm it I was busy with personal matters so I could not confirm the appointment, however I got a bill for $50 for missing your appointment. Had my deviated septum finally surgery after much procrastination and I feel 100% much better. I can finally breath through both nostrils freely. Felt little rough first week but got better as time went by. The whole experience was smooth and comfortable and this was all thanks to Dr. Lee and his wonderful staff at his Fullerton ENT office. I got the bill from the doctor office and they charged ear exam. That day, the doctor didn't do anything for me. I was referred to Dr. Lee for cancer of the tongue, He told me I was most likely not going to survive,. He is arrogant and when I asked him questions or to explain things he responded to many of them that he had 21 years of experience which really didn't answer the questions. He scheduled me for a biopsy more than a month away. If I had waited that long I would've been dead. The cancer had spread to lymph nodes and caused a large lump on my neck. They had to give me a double dose of chemo within two weeks to keep it from spreading. I went across the street to associated head and neck surgeons and Dr Moore. He got me into Saint Jude for a biopsy in two days. He also told me he felt my odds of survival we're better than 50% and he was gonna get me through it, and answered all my questions. Four years later I'm still here I thanks to Dr Moore and Saint Jude's. read more

I never forget he inserted Q-Tips in my nasal passages and said I will be right back and was gone for over 15 min, only needed to be there for a couple of min. He forgot about me and was chatting with another patient. I was very uncomfortable. Then he tells me I might have cancer. I had my surgery done with a Dr. who has since retired, but the difference is like two different worlds. When I told him Dr. Lee told me about the cancer, he asked why would he do that to you? Dr. Lee did a great job for me. Performed surgery on me. Removed a gland and patched me back up. He took time to answer my questions. He cares. He is very serious and very professional. He wanted me to bring back painkillers so they are not abused or used if not needed. More doctors should also do that. Went back for deviated septum. We are working on home and over the counter remedies for 3 month trail before possible surgery/other. read more

WORST DOCTOR AND SERVICE EVER!! I came in with an ear plug stuck in my ear and in a lot of pain. Dr. Lee tried once and then was called out of the room while I sat there in pain. My little sister needed to have ear surgery due to an infected piercing and our mom was the one who found us Dr. Lee's office. During her initial consultation, one of the staff had told us that her surgery would be completely covered by our insurance plan. However, on the day of the surgery, a different staff member had suddenly told us that the cost of the procedure would be unknown until only after it was performed. After being on the phone back and forth with our insurance company, we did find out that the surgery would be fully covered. The worst part is that Dr. Lee had literally decided to not perform the surgery anymore AFTER already injecting her with anesthesia because of the frustration with our insurance company! He just left in the middle of the whole encounter and we had to be notified by a nurse. Our whole experience here was extremely unprofessional and upsetting. We now have to look for a new ENT doctor for my sister to get her procedure and I would never want somebody to go through what she did. read more

Shockingly unprofessional. The doctor and his assistant entered the small exam room where I was waiting for them. The assistant had his mask down below his nose, I asked him to please pull it up. This somehow turned into Dr. Lee removing his mask completely while standing 2 feet away from me (I was in the exam chair at the time) and spent many minutes, unmasked, lecturing me about how, once you are immunized, masks are completely unnecessary. He proceeded to tell me he was "sterile" and "neutered" with regard to contracting or spreading COVID-19. He also admonished me to not get my information from social media but from the CDC website. Upon arrival home I did look at the CDC website, which contradicted what he told me. There are thousands of documented cases of fully vaccinated individuals contracting COVID-19, and to date hundreds of fully vaccinated people have died from COVID-19. This man caused me to feel extreme fear, to the point of crying, before he would finally put his mask back on. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic oath, "Do No Harm"? I have lost family members to Covid-19, have myself been very sick because of it, and have lost my livelihood Because of this pandemic. Now I have a doctor pull this stunt? Unbelievable. read more

The doctor saw my grandma this afternoon. He is very rude and he began to yell at me when I asked him to remove the wax from both her ears. He told his assistant/ nursing staff that their was very little. Clean her ears!!! She is deaf and the wax in her ears prevents her hearing aides from working effectively. I went for the office for Thyroid check up and he is all in for his money rather than patient's well being. Without proper explanation, he said I need to have surgery to remove it and most of the meeting was how he will charge for the surgery. After about $500 worth his first meeting, I went to see two more doctor for secound and third opinion. and both of the doctors said it's not neccessoary for my condition and I need to just to follow up every year. All the negative reviews are true. He is rude, arrogant, cold, and condescending. He tells you that you're lucky to be alive. When you ask him questions, he tells you how smart he is. The waiting room is usually empty, and you can always get an appointment within a day or two. Not sure how he stays in business. Need to find another ENT who doesn't insult patients. read more

I was referred to this ENT office through my insurance provider. I scheduled an appointment without looking at reviews first... I had the worst experience with DR LEE. I went in for jaw / salivary gland pain, facial pain and tinnitus. He checked my ears, checked my hearing results and said I might want something to be wrong with me because I look ok and my results were good. only other thing it could be, is CANCER... he was so dismissive, condescending and looked at me like I'm crazy while explaining my symptoms again, I just got up and left. I scheduled an appointment with my dentist a few days later and come to find out, I have TMJ disorder. I was so uneasy for days because of DR LEE. Zero stars if I could read more

UPDATE: one month later, and I haven't breathed this well in decades. All the minor details aside, the surgery went very well, and for that I am thankful. I admit I was very upset initially because I had trouble breathing for about 5 days, before I really started to notice positive results. As for the insurance fiasco... I later found out my birth date was incorrectly given by my dad. I will give the office benefit of the doubt for last-minute changes to insurance. ORIGINAL REVIEW I went into Dr. Lee's office for nose surgery, I *think* to shrink my turbinates, as they swelled up in size to the point I could not breathe too well. PROS: Staff: The staff was friendly. There were some that I noticed really did look out for my best interests, which I appreciated. She explicitly told me not to blow my nose! Remembered that advice *very* well. June did small talk with how we both went to the same school for undergrad (UCSD Tritons!) which I thought was cool. Doctor: he's very to the point. If you like that in doctors, he's one to go to. He also supported his staff/students in learning. He discussed the fine line between too much/too little surgery in my nose to ensure proper breathing. Medical information-wise, he knows his stuff. One staff told me that he took about 10 minutes longer than usual on me (not surprised), and went overtime, which I appreciated. CONS: What did I have?: He mentioned my specific condition once. Missed it, being on drugs and all. Granted, I understand improper diagnosis is a big no-no, but still, would have liked to know exactly what my condition was. Clarity: when my parents called, the bill was supposed to be $600. After everything, the total came out to $895. They told me about the check-in charge which was fine ($135). Found out about one piece of equipment not being under my insurance after surgery. The doctor also insisted that I have my check-ups at his office, which I found a little rude. It's bad practice to not go to the original doctor that you had surgery from, I get that. But the 450 mile deterrence, I'm sure, can be understandable on the doctor's part. Luckily I called later, and was able to resolve the issue. Office closed at 5P, surgery started around 4:30P. We finished around 5:15P. So after surgery, the ending felt a bit rushed, but I understand we all want to leave after work. He stayed after and worked extra on me, so I gotta give him props for that. CONCLUSION: If you want to go to a no-fluff, straight-to-the-point doctor, with an overall solid staff, good place to go. read more

I saw Dr James Lee for ongoing chronic sinus congestion, post NASA drip, cough, etc. He recommended surgery after ordering scan, And identifying sinus valve collapse and deviated septum with enlarged turbinates. He is very thorough, and listens to your concerns, and involves you in your plan of care. His bedside manner is excellent. I am very pleased with my care, and can breathe thru my nose well, and sleep with my mouth closed. My quality of life is so much better, and I can smell again!
