His booker said that the initial meeting had to be in person and that I could get one in 3-4 weeks. I filled out the intake forms and waited. I drove 45 minutes to his office sat down with Dr Weingold who immediately told me he's no longer offering therapy. He the. Asked what I was doing with my current psychiatrist and therapist, told me to keep doing that and sent me on my way. His office then sent me a bill for $208. I told them I didn't think I should have to pay for a new patient meeting when the Dr isn't taking new patients and they should have told me as such on the phone. They wasted my time and money and now they are insisting I pay the bill. Marion in billing is rude app. Carla in booking doesn't do her job and Dr Weingold just wants to write scripts for meds.

Ask me what I don't love about Dr. Jay Fibus? Seriously,…read moreGOOD LUCK finding a therapist like him and his associates--I truly mean that with all the love in my heart, but read on if you've landed on this review and you're "shopping around" for a new therapist or were referred to him by someone. No joke, the guy is a freaking genius. Cambridge graduate and has applied the most unique skills in our therapy sessions. I loved meeting in his office and never thought I would be okay with zooming into our sessions because of the pandemic, but oh my gosh--they've AWESOME because of how vulnerable I can still be from the comfort of my own home. In a nutshell, my husband left my son and me, almost losing my job, my home, and custody of my son (prior marriage). Dr. Fibus not only helped me pick up the ashes of where my life was but he sat in the trenches with me as I was sitting in the dung. Let's just say the depression of co-dependency was far too much and I didn't reach self-care and healthy until I opened up and got real with him. He then helped me walk through the dark rooms of my mind which I had vowed to never let anyone in. He held my hand metaphorically and walked me up the stairs to life's reality so I could sing again from the mountaintops. Therapy takes time and unless you are thirsty for it, don't bother. It'll be a waste of everyone's time, treasures, and skilled talent. But when you do decide that your life has gotten to a point where it's led you to this review then understand this of yourself, it's time to make the call and I hope it's to Dr. Fibus. I was so fearful of going because I didn't want anyone to see the hurts, but in doing so, I've gained all that is good back into my life and then some and they're here to stay. I will never say it's easy, never. It takes mental work and your willingness to open up. It's NOT easy. It's the weak that say therapy is a bunch of crap. To that, I say hogwash! It takes so much work to rewire a marriage, a relationship or your mind. So again, unless you're willing to be serious, don't bother. Dr. Fibus gave me permission to self-reflect on the trials and circumstances that led to the healing of the negative and ugly scars of my life. He did it such a funny and gentle way that I never imagined in a million years I would have the perspective I do about those moments. I have learned to embrace them all and allowed myself to finally become more vulnerable and a feeler in my life. I didn't realize the techniques because they came naturally to our conversations and nothing about it was awkward like I had envisioned they would be when "sitting in a therapy session." My life was super far from being screwed up--I just had to learn the fabric of my own DNA and realized in time that life, indeed, is beautiful. He's respectful of both genders and gave me security and compassion when my husband left. He never made it awkward when I would sit for a while and lament and just cry out. He was above reproach and respectful to my ex when he made that decision to stay focused on my journey without being biased. When I ask him a question he is so direct but with a light hearted charm that made me go back out into the world and reestablish my life and identity. He's taught me what healthy boundaries are and worked with me on the darkest days of my depression. He's helped my son out in a few sessions along with his associate who my son just adores and can call up at any moment knowing if he needs an outlet, they are there for him. It got really rough when his step dad had just walked out me but on him too. I have learned that being a successful single mom can be messy, difficult, and imperfect but that it can also be organized, easy, and perfect on some days. I see life as progressive where as before I was looking for perfection; felt I was letting down others; or would anger easily if the person I was co-dependent on would "let me down." The struggles were real and now they're struggles that are super manageable. He's referenced reading material that I thrive at when given quiet moments to read. He taught me that audible books on the way to work can re-wire my brain if I lend myself 20 minutes just to work on myself daily. I take compliments and see the beauty of my journey and how far I have come. I see all of the beauty and thrive from the scars to know that each one them has a story for someone to hear them at the right moment. With all the experiences I've had, I can relate to just about anyone where as before I wanted to depend on a person to make me happy and hide from the world. Don't even overthink it, pick up the phone and just make that appointment, I promise you--you will NOT be disappointed!

I ended up here and I am glad I did! After a few short months of seeing Dr. Naim, I was fine. More…read morethan fine actually. And it's now been a year! I dealt with anxiety for years off and on. I went on and off medication. I spent years seeing therapists. So many ups and downs. One day the anxiety escalated tremendously to the point where I couldn't sleep. I was seriously spiraling out of control and couldn't even work. My usual psychiatrist couldn't see me for 3 months. I know had I gotten into see him, it would just be a 20 minute appointment and more medication. My primary care doctor put me on Xanax and Ambien as a temporary fix. It was like putting a Band-Aid on a gunshot wound. A trusted friend recommended Hope Psychiatry and said there was no one better. When I called and explained my situation, I was seen within 24 hours. The intake paperwork is extremely thorough, more thorough than anything I've ever seen. They do not take insurance and I've come to discover that the people that are really good typically do not take insurance. At our first meeting, I started rambling and would have gone on for hours. Dr. Naim stopped me after 20 minutes and said he knew exactly what the issue was and how to resolve it. He said when he was done with me my issues would be gone. He slowly transitioned me off of the Xanax and Ambien. He is not anti-medication. I used an herbal tea to sleep and he prescribed something else that was non-habit forming for use as needed. He said the goal was for me not to need medication anymore but if I did need it, he would prescribe it. Fast forward a month, it was challenging to go through everything with him. At one point things were pretty bad and he said it was the last gasp of my issues getting out. Turned out, he was right. I started improving every week. About 3 months after first seeing him, I was done. It's now been one year. I've had no relapses. I have no anxiety. I'm having to deal with more challenging situations in life but it doesn't affect me anymore. I have a great perspective and I'm all better. I know I'm able to tackle just about anything. I've also been off the medication for a year now. So instead of just masking my problems, he actually addressed my issues. What a concept. Dr. Naim and his staff are incredibly kind. I just wish I hadn't spent years and years wasting my time trying to get help elsewhere. He was able to resolve my issues so quickly and completely. Highly recommended!

What isn't obvious is that, when you're dealing with MD's or PhD's who have ADHD themselves, while they may understand the condition really well and have good advice, they STILL HAVE ADHD and it really impacts how they run their operations and conduct themselves in their dealings with customers. The front desk rarely returned my calls and I found out they only hire a part-time college student to run the desk. One of the docs (unnamed out of respect) gave me their cell number and instructed me to text them to set up appointments. Four texts and six weeks later, NO RESPONSE. It was very, very frustrating. I ended up walking away from the ADHD relationship... for me, it was just too hard to deal with an ADHD boyfriend and ADHD counselors when no one around you was very reliable. Their online 'club' for ADHD Couples Success is similarly disorganized and while the webinars are decent, the customer service is also ADHD-plagued or non-existent. There were times when the online videos didn't work -- initially, when I signed up, I was charged nearly $100 and the entire site wasn't working, WTF, they charge $47/month, for what? Chat rooms and videos were non-functioning and the site is really just a souped-up wordpress page that isn't really robust enough for what they say they offer. Webinars start at times other than advertised so you'll get spammed with email about participating in a live webinar only to log in at the proper time and find out it's already ending. Very disorganized and confusing... again, those running the operation have ADHD and haven't put someone in charge to run their enterprise efficiently. Bottom line, the info is good, but the hard work you have to put in to get that info makes it almost not worth it.
