The ambiance is fantastic and they have a great menu at the bar. Plus all the staff and service was great. I took away a star because they charged $5 for a can of Coke. If the staff hadn't already opened it I would have sent it ba k

Tiny but good spot. My first night here, I had to sit at the bar because the architecture and decor of it was awesome. This is probably one of the best hotel restaurants I've been to. I had a few cocktails and the cheeseburger and fries which were all delicious! That was Valentine's Day and they were so sweet to give me a chocolate covered strawberry for dessert. I even had breakfast here which consisted of egg whites, chicken sausage, potatoes and it normally comes with bread but I opted for fruit. This averaged out to about $24 with the tip which wasn't bad at all considering the prices at restaurants surrounding this place. I will say that the coffee was pretty weak so I didn't enjoy my coffee experience here. But between the live music, the large plush couches, the marble and wood, this is certainly a viable option for dinner or breakfast. I would eat here again for sure.

Aside from the beautiful architecture and decor, our experience was made even more delightful by the friendly staff. We would go to the lobby bar 'Ergo' for happy hour or after dinner drinks each night during our stay. We were greeted most days by bartender, Erik who was incredible! Great customer service, positive attitude, and makes the best drinks we have had in a long time. Erik definitely added value to our experience at Ergo, and we hope to visit again in the future!

Really incredible architecture, good strong drinks, and yummy desserts. Only complaint would probably be that the waiters wern't very friendly (never smiled) and I don't like when they reuse glasses. They asked my friend if they could really use their cup to make their second drink. Kind of weird and rude considering it was for a $15 bourbon.

One of the best breakfasts I've had! As a Marriott Titanium member I got to eat at Carter's for free but would willingly pay for this delicious brunch meal. Located in the middle of beautiful Union Station Hotel, Carter's may be confused for any other hotel restaurant but the quality is significantly better. I've been to some top brunch places around the globe and this was one of the best. I ordered one of the crepes and my friend got the Eggs Benedict. The dish was well seasoned and all the ingredients tasted super fresh. The coffee was very aromatic as well. The atmosphere is well decorated and looks very high end. If you are a dedicated instagrammer like me you wouldn't be disappointed with the pictures you get here. The staff are prompt and friendly. They checked in on our table many times throughout the meal to make sure we had enough coffee and water. Felt very well attended to! Overall this restaurant is a must visit if you are looking for some delicious and aesthetic breakfast.

Food was okay. Hot chicken sandwich wasn't very hot, the truffled burrata/tomato salad was more truffle than anything else and would have benefitted greatly from some toast/bread/crackers, and it would have been nice to know that my "grilled peach" flatbread would be raw green apple instead when I ordered room service. A spoon for my pudding would have been appreciated too. Breakfast was okay, but they can't hard boil eggs, which seems strange. Service was friendly at least - both in the bar and for room service.

What a treat. Truth be known, I didn't know what to expect from Carter's. I wasn't sure if this was going to be "hotel food" or what. I was pleasantly surprised with our dishes. The cheese board was our starter. Don't miss out on this. My wife had the Shrimp and Grits and I had the Hanger Steak. Both were really good. We stuck around for the dessert. My wife had the Panna Cotta it was good. The Banana Pudding though......I cant even describe it. Im from the south and I know banana pudding. This is THE BEST Banana Pudding I've ever had. What a treat. Best part about it was I was just a quick elevator ride back to my room. I'll be back.

Stopped in to see the beautiful old Union Station Hotel and decided to have a bite to eat. You can sit anywhere in the lobby and they will bring your food/drink to you. As it was a cold rainy day we chose to sit by the fireplace. We ordered a Margarite flatbread to share and each chose a local Tennessee beer. The flatbread was brimming with tomatoes, arugula, mozzarella, shaved Parmesan and balsamic vinaigrette and full of flavor. The beer was refreshing and paired well with the flatbread. Our server was absolutely wonderful and added to the experience. Make the Union Station a must see when in Nashville.

We stopped into the Union Station Hotel for a bite to eat at Carter's restaurant. The hotel was a train station in the 19th-century! The lobby is gorgeous and has a vaulted ceiling with stained glass. We sat in the lobby and ordered drinks to start. Our waitress, Amanda, was very knowledgeable. Some of the recommended liquors were High West Double Rye, Belle Meade Bourbon, Botanist Gin and Angels Envy Rye Whiskey. My favorite was definitely the Angels Envy! We tasted a little bit of everything! -Watermelon salad -Heirloom Tomato salad -Seared Pork Belly on Bao buns -Lobster tacos in wonton shells -Truffle fries -Seasonal flatbread -Milk & Honey Everything we tasted was delicious but here are some of the things we loved: -The watermelon salad had both red and yellow watermelon. I had never tried or heard of yellow watermelon- was very sweet! -Heirloom tomato salad was amazing and all the flavors mixed beautifully! Burrato cheese is a new favorite!! -The pork belly melted in your mouth! This restaurant is a must stop! If your not staying at the hotel make sure you stop here for a drink and a bite to eat. Compliments to Chef Jim and the entire staff on a mouthwatering lunch! After you finish your meal, walk around and look at the history in the hotel. The front desk will give you a paper explaining the history of the hotel for a self guided tour!

The place filled up pretty decently for a Monday afternoon, but our service was still great. Spicy, skinny margaritas on happy hour always make me happy. They were good, too -- plus a tajin rim *chefs kiss*. We had chips and salsa, fajitas, tacos, taco salads, and everything was solid. I wouldn't say my salad was mind blowing, but I was happy with it. No gripes from our table and everything came out nice and hot. Our server was very friendly and checked on us consistently, even if it was a glance from afar.

Most of the disappointment came from the hostess, Emily. She seemed rushed the entire time--she took our drink order, but while we were still looking at the menu, she walked away. She came back briefly, then left again, making it hard for us to ask questions or get recommendations. Because of that, we didn't get any guidance on what to order. When the food arrived, mine was way too spicy for me to eat. Thankfully, another waiter stepped in and offered an alternative I might like, which I appreciated. Overall, the service felt rushed and inattentive, and the experience just wasn't enjoyable. I wouldn't go back.

My friend started with the 'Strawberry Frozen Margarita' and I got the 'Pink Sunglasses' drink which came with small Barbie looking sunglasses as a garnishing. We shared the 'Chips and Salsas' which came with lime tortilla chips, smoked tomato salsa, and green tomatillo salsa. This was delicious. The salsas were so fresh and refreshing! I would come back just for this. I do not remember what entree my friend got, but she loved it. I got the 'Gringo' tacos which were spicy ground beef, lettuce, chipotle ranch, pico de gallo, cheddar cheese and hard shell tacos. This was really good. They were not kidding when they said spicy beef. This definitely had a kick, and I love that they were hard shell tacos. I really do not like the soft shell tacos. Service was friendly and quick. I would definitely come back to try some other meals! And I would recommend.

Margarita was only $10, but (not solely their fault) buy over $31 for the two drinks after taxes (3 different taxes totaling $5). So far I'd give them 4-5 starts, but now we moved upstairs to listen to the band playing. Good band that we only caught the tail end of their set. Before we realized what was happening, an employee grabbed one of our tables and took off with it. When I caught up to her and said we had a full table of people, she replied,"Those tables don't belong out there!" and she walked away and wouldn't acknowledge me. Another employee seemed a bit sheepish and explained they clear the tables for a dance floor. This left us with no tables as they took our other tables away. Based on the experience, I won't go back. There are way too many good choices along Broadway with great music, reasonable drink prices and friendlier staff. Casa Rosa missed the mark!
