Hubby went to Elbert and Gerbert's for the first time today for Poseidon (lobster rolls) and wild rice soup in a bread bowl. The lobster rolls were really good, thought they were made from fake crab at first but suppose to be lobster shreds, never had a lobster roll before but would like to soon, you know the ones with big chunks of buttery lobster. It was good, came with North Atlantic lobster shreds mayo base with celery, lettuce and tomatoes and ol bay seasoning on the best sub rolls ever, yes I would buy again, but, does it taste authentic probably not, wild rice soup-all I can say INEDIBLE, had this twangy taste along with funky flour, couldn't even describe it so it went in the trash and I was so happy we had the soup on the side so the wonderful bread bowl was not ruined. I made my own quick version of chicken wild rice soup that made its way into a wonderful soft crispy bread bowl. Lobster rolls were $9.99 each and the bread bowl and soup $8.99. Called to see how much just the bread bowls are figured I buy the bread bowls and put my own soup in. They said $9.75. REALLY!! read more

This place was good definitely worlds removed from chains like Subway or Quizno's. I ordered a turkey sandwich on wheat and it was delicious with an ample serving of turkey. The price was fair and the call ahead service worked flawlessly. read more

They are often drive-thru only during covid, but their sandwiches have a lot of meat & toopings; not the micrometer sliced meat at a lot of their competitors. Prices are good & drive-thru moves fast. read more

Stopped here with my family. Staff was very helpful with those of us who were undecided on what to order. Service was very quick.

Food is great. Visiting Bemidji for a week and this is our second visit. This would get five stars if it wasn't for staff problems. One staff member spent her time texting and the other took our orders and made the sandwiches. Our greeting consisted of the young man behind the register saying "What do you want?" One of our sandwiches was mislabeled - thankfully the sandwiches were made correctly. Part of our order consisted of soup instead of chips and he had to be reminded about the soup. Right in front of us were two young girls that walked in and just sat at a booth. This probably put the young man's mind somewhere else. As it turns out, one of he girls is apparently his girlfriend. I make that assumption because after making our sandwiches he approached her table with a smile, a "how are you doing?, and sat with his arm around her. Young love is great . . . but, not what I expect when I'm paying for a meal. read more

Great sandwich shop. I'm in Bemidji for a week attending a workshop, and there are very few options for someone staying in the dorms without a car. We initially went there because it was the only thing we could get to, but we returned several more times even when dining options. The variety of sandwich selections is great, the combinations are unique and all the ingredients, especially the bread are super fresh. Tiny complaints like under ride tomatoes, very light handed with condiments yet heavy handed with lettuce are easily adjusted and not really penalty worthy. Their selection of soups is great as well. We visited several times and tried a few different combinations. Our group was very happy with the pricing and the experience. read more

I go here about once a week. The employees are always friendly, very courteous, and the consistency is astonishing. Every time, you know what you're going to get, and it's very good. The owner and operater was there today, and I was impressed that she was doing the exact tasks and duties as her base level employees. That's good management. 5/5. read more
