Cute diner, busy on a Sunday morning Went here to stop for some breakfast on the way back to the cities. Arrived around 10:20 on a Sunday morning and had to wait about 20 minutes. Waitstaff was very friendly. Two coffees (pay for the cup and you get a pitcher for the table), corned beef eggs Benedict, and country spuds with blueberry pancakes came out to about $51 with tax and tip. Not too bad for price. I came here not WONCE, but TWYCE! My buddies joined me. First time, went for the the special, chicken fried steak. That was so good I am serious I went back the second time and was bummed it wasn't there even though I was excited to see Annie who was our waitress and the reason we came back. She is awesome, but don't challenge her to a roller blade contest she will beat you. I didn't challenge her because I know I will get embarrassed. The second time I was bummed about the whole chicken fried steak thing so my boy Gavin, the waiter, he's the man, super cool, super chill, the ultimate dude, told me to ball out with the Ruben. Think I missed an e in Reuben. He even brought me the 1000 island dressing to dip it into. I don't usually like Rebens, but I like this one. Also had to get it because my boy told me to. Each of us had different food (group of four) and three of us really enjoyed the meal. The nice rice bowl was very disappointing, though. There was little rice in it. It was mostly cabbage. The best thing about this place is the variety of breakfast dishes. The food is okay but it's hard to screw up breakfast. However, if you're planning on eating here, it's wise to call and make sure you actually talk to someone! Unless you follow them on Facebook, you'll have no idea when they close. The message on their answering machine will not mention that they are closed, but actually suggests that they are open and unable to answer the phone. When I brought this to the attention of the owner, he was very inconsiderate and non apologetic, which tells me a lot about the way the business is run. I believe he feigns interest in his customers, especially in review responses, but in reality could care less. read more

Where to start 1. Food quality: food came out 1:15 minutes after we sat down on a Friday morning 2. Food came out staggerd about an hour from start to finish we received French toast an hour before the last hot item came to the table. I don't mind if items come out hot when done but an hour from first to last item is very unprofessional. 3. Ordered potato pancakes received circular hashbrowns swimming in butter in the shape of a pancake with no batter at all. Could not eat were totally gross. 4. Ordered American fries there must have been at least a 1/2 to 3/4 cup of oil on the plate and potato's too. Could barely eat any. 5. Ordered French toast that was cold as well. 6. Food came out in varying degrees of warmth from cold eggs to right off the griddle. 7. Asked for apple sauce she said yes we have that received the equivalent of pie filling to put on potato pancakes. Asked for sour cream too never came. 8. Oh did I mention other people came after us ordered and ate and left before we got our food. 9. Told sever about all of the short comings and oopsies...no adjustment to our bill and no no apologies. Our first and last time to this joint! The two young ladies were pleasant! I ordered the caramel apple French toast.... they left the skin on their apples creating tough to chew didn't see or taste Carmel... the bread tasted like it was a few days old and stale. The very large woman waitress came over and I told her I didn't care for the stale toast or the apple skin it was hard to swallow she asked me if I wanted it remade and I declined. my husbands breakfast was lukewarm at best but he ate it... the bacon was mostly fat! the big lady brought our check and I asked her if she was going to take my breakfast off the bill since I had only a few bites she remarked No! I'm not! I then told her to go ahead and make it this time to go! I figured my husband will eat it tomorrow..... next thing we know this very large man comes over and said Im not going to remake it for you!!! I will comp your meal and he took off in a huff! how rude of both of these people! We wanted to pay for husbands meal and my drink but the man said no! We were told about this place by the front desk team member at our hotel. Wow- what a great recommendation! We went for lunch. My husband had the Greek burger and he said it was delicious- unique flavor combination with the feta, peppers and olives. I had the breakfast sandwich with red potatoes. Both the sandwich and potatoes were terrific! Exceptionally nice staff. Clean and appropriate Covid precautions being taken. I was looking for something a little more healthy then your normal eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Attended a wedding in Bemidji recently and wanted a local breakfast. When I found Minnesota Nice I knew we had to find it. It is very very Minnesota Nice and a fabulous breakfast menu which I could not wait to try. My husband had the blueberry pancakes and I opted for the Paleo- Ish Skillet with Wild Rice Pancakes. I loved the spinach with wild rice, green peppers, onions, tomatoes and topped with three eggs! Deliciously fresh and great way to start a big day but Impossible to finish with the incredible wild rice pancakes. I sure wish a satellite Minnesota Nice Cafe was in my town in Nevada!! read more

What a find!! This is a classic little family run cafe with incredible breakfast foods. You can even buy real maple syrup- this place is authentic! I had the breakfast wrap and it was seriously delicious. I won't be able to top that meal for the rest of my trip. My friend had the corned beef omelette, and said it was great.
