    Blackened salmon and shrimp. Delish!

This is a fantastic restaurant! The food is amazing, the service is fabulous and the restaurant is beautiful. Also the prices are more than reasonable compared with other restaurants of this caliber.

The vibe within this restaurant was a mix of modern meets sports bar meets quirk. There were large banana plants/trees inside adding some greenery to the overall muted feel of the interior. The TV screens near the bar gave the spot a more relaxed feel. We had a party of five and were seated right away with a reservation. The staff was friendly and helpful. Most of our party chose the "fish and chips" entree while I opted for the Smoked brisket. Each entree came with a side salad or soup which is a nice touch! This is not something that's typically offered within the East Coast restaurants I'm used to visiting. The brisket was tender but I was a bit surprised to see if covered in bbq sauce when it came out-- next time, I would ask for it to be on the side. We also decided to share some desserts as a group and really enjoyed the peach/berry crisp with vanilla ice-cream. It definitely tasted home-made! We had an early dinner and by the time we left the restaurant was full with a few groups waiting outside -- clearly people like this spot for weekend dinners!

Rather annoyed they are charging customers now to use debit or credit cards when their menu prices have also steadily increased. Just feels like a way to get extra money. BRING CASH OR CHECK!

A quick trip to Itasca State Park turned into a day trip to Bemidji. We haven't been to Bemidji in a few years, and it looks like there are a lot more dining options than back in 2011. We decided to get a bite at Turtle River Chophouse; a place that my friends have raved about. We were there at the right time on St. Patricks Day, as the place was starting to get a little busy. Finding an open table was not too difficult and staff were very courteous. There were multiple people who served us, but it was a very concerted effort and there were no delays or mess ups. We started with the Filipino egg rolls. Very different and unique. Also had a nice bite to them. Big serving size and we had plenty of leftovers. For the main course: The missus opted for the Chophouse burger (side of fries), as it looked great when delivered to the table next to us. I opted for the vegetarian "Homemade Black Bean Burger" with a fruit cup as my side. The food arrived quickly and looked great! Of course we were both starving after the long drive up here! Both burgers were fresh! The chophouse burger was fresh and cooked to perfection. The carmalized onions were too sweet; a good indication that they were actually cooked down and not just a sauteed with a bunch of brown sugar. The vegetarian burger was pretty interesting - topped with sprouts and a pepper pico - and had a great flavor to it. Of course we had a lot of leftovers. :) This place must be pretty popular as the line of people waiting to get in was getting longer by the minute. Glad we got in when we did. :) Food was certainly good and we'd return here if ever in the Bemidji area again...

Very friendly and quick service. Salmon and wild rice was delicious, especially the honey Dijon sauce. Would definitely return!

All 4 of these places in Bemidji under same group and charging for condiments and charging 4.3% credit card processing fee!

Amazing selection of items you won't find on your regular bare menu. We spent our 25 anniversary there and they offer free desert.

I loved my Hot Bourbon drink with a nice hit of cayenne butter and a few other tasty additions the Gin and Tonic was amazing as usual. I had the Carnitas Pizza (crisp crust, well prepares Carnitas and fresh greens) and Wild Rice Mushroom Soup. (Deep flavors with nicely done Wild Rice.). We started with the bacon wrapped dates (perfectly sticky) and the White Bean dip (tasty and crisp veggies includes watermelon remediates, yum ). This remains my favorite spot in the area, worth the drive for sure.

While we waited for a table to open up we ordered some drinks at the bar. We tried their espresso martini, watermelon crush, paloma and their cabana banana old fashioned, all were beautiful and delicious. The watermelon crush had a nice spice, this was my favorite cocktail. My husband and I shared the wild rice mushroom pizza, not a crumb left! It was fantastic. The kids had a cheese pizza, not a crumb left again, they raved about their fire oven pizza. My brother in law had their classic turkey salad, he said it was the best salad he's ever had. Everything looked and tasted so fresh. Even their ranch was amazing, I asked for a side of it for my pizza. Yes, I love ranch with my pizza :) We will definitely be coming back next summer, I will be looking forward to this!

We, in fact, did not know & answered such. We were seated immediately with a run down on the gent that would be taking the stage shortly & a run down on how the blue oyster came to be... because they grow blue oyster mushrooms. Speaking of, the blue oyster mushroom app is NOT to be missed. I'd come back for that alone. As a matter of fact, I tried to today on the way home but they're closed Sun. Service was friendly & leisurely. We both ordered cocktails & both agreed that we wouldn't again. $8 was a reasonable price & they did use decent liquor in them. They just weren't really our kind of drinks, a bit too sweet & colorful for our bitter tastebuds. As I mentioned, the mushroom app was FANTASTIC & I'd highly recommend it. I opted for the Cajun Pasta - very good, creamy, cheesy sauce - tho very Norwegian spice level. I'll call it Norw-ajun vs Cajun. The hubs had the fried rice. It was a solid dish. We were overly full with the 2 dishes and an app. We agreed that next time we would order the app & 1 dish to split, no cocktails - or at least not any off the featured menu. All in all, we found pricing reasonable, food to be tasty, drinks would be a hit for many & service good but not fast. Glad we found it!

The salmon was decent, if a little overcooked. Service was very friendly, but slow. I'm not sure if they're understaffed, but it definitely took some waiting to take orders & get us food. Would try again.
