I arrived in Bemidji late and was looking for a burger joint. One review for this place said they had the best in town so I gave it a try. The place looks like a little rough on the outside and walking through the darkened door didn't help. Lots of windows but you can't see in or out. The music was blaring Ice cube and the selections didn't get much better as the night went on. The place does have touch tunes so I could have played some bee gees I suppose. The bartender was a former defenseman for Bemidji State so we hit it off with hockey talk. The place is full of local greats including Read who made it to the big show. He took my order and moments later I had my freshly hand man bacon burger. They were right. Taste was outstanding and the bacon was plentiful. It came with chips but I up saled to fries. They were good but I would guess frozen Krinkle cut. Food was worth the visit. Coke products with plenty of beer selections. I would go back but probably in the daylight. read more

Reviewing as Bar & Grill. As other reviews accurately have stated, this is a hockey bar. Located a block from the BREC - home of the Bemidji Beavers. Street or private lot parking all close to the door and plenty of seating inside. The game is sure to be on the TVs and the brews are cold. But be warned it's a college hockey bar so expect strong language. The burgers however are top notch. They're hand made and taste awesome. I do not recommend for families and tender ears. I do recommend for the guys that are into bar burgers and drinks. 3 stars for the Corner Bar. read more

Great burgers! The meat is actually bigger than the bun. Loved the onion rings, hot and crispy. Fast attentive and friendly service. If they had had some craft beers on tap or a top shelf bourbon without a mans first and last name they would have gotten the fifth star. They do have a decent selection of commercial bottled beers. I can't say I'm a fan of hanging out at the Corner Bar, but the burgers are awesome... I've never found a suitable replacement after living in California the last 20 years. Whenever I'm on my way home for the holidays, I think the salivating starts around Reno and doesn't let up until I pull in. The clientele that hangs out there can be kind of seedy... I recommend an afternoon visit. read more

What a great place! Came here with a group and most ordered burgers. I hated to be a burger snob but I wanted the mushroom and swiss burger but in a place like this expected it to be canned mushrooms and rubber-cheese.... it wasn't!! The cheese was flavorful and real and the mushrooms were fresh! Excellent. Fries were good, staff was friendly. read more

One of the best bacon cheese burgers I have ever eaten. They didn't have a great draft beer selection and the music made it sound like a high impact aerobics workout video, but it was still worth a stop in just for the burger. read more

Great local hang out, college/hockey bar. The bar tender was very friendly, I did not eat here as I was meeting a client elsewhere for dinner. As a bar this is a sold place to stop, next time I will try and get some of the burgers people are raving about. read more

Stopped here for lunch based upon reviews. Had a cheeseburger and fries. It's seems like it was good hamburger (lean and still tender) only problem is that it had no flavor. Could see a piece of cheese (placed under patty), but couldn't taste the cheese. Very strange. Didn't really want to give it two stars, so it gets three. Next thru, I'll most like try a different place as this one was very average at best. read more

FIrst meal in Bemidji and a memorable one at that. I got the swiss and mushroom burger and was told by the Midji man who brought me here to add the onions, that they're kinda known for that, even if it wasn't on the menu. The burger was great. It was big, it was real meat, and it was cooked well. I could only eat half. One of us asked for a medium burger and that was also done really well. My only complaint was the incessant flies although the kind waitress did note their nuisance. According to her, they are frequent in the warm weather. They should get on that, but keep their burger recipe as is! read more

i was at Corner Bar this last weekend and started drinking, the pitchers of beer were well priced at $5 but they ended up losing my credit card which was a pain. The bartenders were crabby, I would recomend slims or a bar downtown instead of corner read more
