I frequently eat at bridget's when I am in Bemidji for variety of reasons. He's open seven days a week. It has an ample selection of vegetarian items. It's got great seating both inside and out. And the staff is very helpful and friendly. I ordered the vegetarian shepherds pie this time around. It's a clever, take on a regular shepherds pie, with a vegetarian filling instead of meat. Part of me wishes that it was served to look more like a pie rather than spread out on a plate. But it was still very tasty and I would recommend. read more

Literally ran in from the -10 degree weather and was welcomed by a relatively chill locale. Decorated all over with Irish decor, it was very green. Bar keep was chill, and working solo but was welcoming. I personally only had a single Guinness as a preemptive saint patty's day treat, but I noticed that they had a nice selection of food via a touch less menu as well. Who would have guessed great wifi or decent cell service in such a remote place like Bemidji?!? Awesome food and local taps!!! For a starter we ordered the Irish Egg Rolls-- corned beef, cabbage, and Swiss cheese wrapped up in and egg roll. So delicious! Order came with 6 pieces and chips so perfect for sharing. For my entree I got The Best Walleye Sandwich- tasted great! For an up charge I got the Irish Whiskey Mushroom soup as my side-- I would seriously order a full bowl of this it was that good. We order the bread pudding for dessert. It was very delicious but I could only take one bite because I was so full. Great dessert to share as a group. read more

I love Brigid's! Everything I try here is good and my boyfriend and I really enjoy this restaurant.

I'm not a beer drinker so I can't comment except to say there was a large selection on draft. The Shepard pie and the Guinness beef stew were the entrees we ordered. There were delicious and served extremely quickly. We also had some homemade bread pudding. Wow! It was yummy! The waiter was friendly and attentive. Prices seemed fair. We randomly chose this restaurant to eat at for lunch. Not sure what to expect, it looked pretty inviting with the outside patio seating. The inside was mostly wood and gave the up north feel to me. I was suprised that I could order the vegetarian pot pie meal and it tasted pretty decent. I do think the best part was the creative fried mac-n-cheese bites! Is really lousy service enough to eclipse the good food and leave a rational person feeling like they wonder what they should do with their invisible powers? Sat at the bar and there were very few people in the place. 2 bartenders and the people next to me made a total of 3. Waiting and eventually I'm told they will be with me in a minute. Ok, benefit of the doubt. The remainder of my time consisted of a lot of averted eyes by the staff behind the bar. I'm not intimidated to politely ask for an another beer, but even I was surprised by the determination to NOT serve. "Chose poorly" continued to penetrate my thoughts. The atmosphere is fantastic and so is the food. I've eaten there several times and enjoyed most of the meals and desserts I had. Highly recommend the kettle chips. Fries are good too. Sometimes it's tough to decide between fries and kettle chips when ordering a side dish. I remember noting that some of the menu items were marked as being vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten free. I think it's nice that there's something for everyone to enjoy. It's also a fun place to drink. Sometimes they have a live band perform. read more

I specifically went to have the shepherd's pie or Irish stew. There was no notation on the website or the menu that these dishes were unavailable for lunch. I ordered the Reuben sandwich. Cannot believe this is number #55 - I lived in Bemidji for 3 years and although there are new restaurants in the area now, this is always one I visit when we are in town. Lots of vegetarian options (Mary Plowman Sandwich & Vegetarian Shepards Pie). Also the Corned Beef Egg Rolls are a MUST even if you don't like Ruebens & Bread Pudding!! We were in town for the weekend and looking for some good food. We arrived at about 9 on Saturday night, and there were probably 20 people in there and 2 wait staff. We sat at a table and waited a good 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. After our menus were brought, we decided to go sit at the bar. It was probably another 10 minutes before our order was taken. Unfortunately, the service didn't get any better. At one point, our bartender pulled her phone out right in front of us and proceeded to play on it without acknowledging us. The other bartender consistently had his back turned to us to watch the basketball game and didn't say a word until we left. Also, one of the bartenders came back behind the bar with her coat on, most likely after smoking or taking the trash out, and didn't wash her hands before processing our payment. As someone who has worked in food service and hotel management, I know that this is against health code. Fortunately, we weren't ordering anymore food or drink, but it makes me wonder when the last time she washed her hands was. The food was phenomenal. My husband had Brigid's burger and I had grilled cheese and mushroom soup. We kept talking about how good the food was. Unfortunately, it's not enough to make up for the absolute piss poor service we received. read more

They were simply written on chalkboard type part of the wall, so unless you were familiar with the micro brew, there weren't any descriptions of it.. Hands down this is the best place in town for great food. The flavors and consistency are what make it our favorite place to go! Always happy and full when we leave. I love that most of the ingredients are locally sourced and always fresh. You can order any burger on a salad to be Keto friendly. The Dream boat burger/ salad is my go to. read more

During my recent two week stay in Bemidji, had the pleasure of dining at Brigid's twice. Here's my take! First visit ended up later in the evening with several friends, we split a couple of appetizers. Especially memorable were the Irish eggrolls. These could also be called Reuben eggrolls which were simply destined to be loved by me as I love anything and everything Reuben :) These are nicely decked out with corned beef coupled with the right proportion of cabbage. The dipping sauce was like an extra tangy 1000 island, was decadent but wonderful. The rolls are served on a large pile of thick potato chips - we gobbled them all up. In fact, I enjoyed these so much I don't even remember the other side they ordered, I think it was just french fries so I didn't eat them. Second visit was on a Saturday in July for lunch. Tried their signature Irish whiskey mushroom soup - if you are a mushroom lover like me, you will enjoy this soup. Yum. The Smithwicks on tap was the perfect temperature and I drank two or three :) Service as ok, maybe a little slow. Other bonuses: several vegetarian options on the menu, option for half or full orders - why don't more places have this option?
