I ended up getting a sour-ish beer and it was great! It's a small brewery space but it felt very warm and inviting. I loved their wall of merchandise I ended up getting a hoodie to take back with me to California. Because I came in the winter I didn't get to go on their back patio, which I heard has an amazing view of the river (hence the name) River and Rails. I hope to come back when it's warmer to enjoy a new beer with a great view.

Lake of the Woods did not have the best beer or even the second best beer on the trip. Total of five unique beers, and it doesn't seem like they rotate much. IPA was the best of the bunch. This is a cross-border Can Am Brewery. They have another location in Kenora, Ontario across the other side of the Lake of the Woods. Maybe they have a better selection up there, eh? Going four rather than three because they had a pretty good band on the Fourth of July and the building and location reek of coolness. Guess I have to give one or two other places on the trip a five if this is a four. We need a Yelp supporter badge that you can buy like on Untappd and be able to give ratings on the tenth of the point like figure skating and Barstool Pizza reviews. Good mood and fun times earns them the bump up.
