So I stopped in, eager to order my go to favorite food, which is a grilled pork vermicelli bowl. Sadly, it did not live up to what I had hoped it would be. But first, it's a space that's open and bright with windows overlooking Beltrami Avenue. The staff were very gracious and welcoming. There was music playing, but not overly loud where it would interrupt a conversation. Bathroom clean and basic. I ordered the vermicelli noodles salad bowl for $13.95, with an extra $1 for grilled pork. When it arrived, it looked vastly different from any vermicelli bowl salad I've had anywhere else. I tasted the pork, which was in large chunks, pale and not appearing to have been grilled. I found it bland and tough, with a large amount of fat, difficult to chew. I really could not eat any of it. The salad part had large chunks of cucumber and large shreds of lettuce, again not how it is has historically been prepared when I've eaten this before. The fish sauce to pour over was a bit thick and syrupy with a mild flavor. I did enjoy the vermicelli noodles, which is pretty much all I ate. I ordered a cup of green tea for $2.50 which was nice and just what was needed on a subzero temperature day. Overall, I left disappointed. Yet I do have to note that they specialize in pho, which I'm not a fan of. I've heard their pho is very good and there are raves about it on their Facebook page. So if you love pho, this might be the place for you.

Sometimes there would be someone else there at the same time and we would have fun talking over the news of the day.
