I walked out of here a few days ago, carrying a doggie bag and thinking "Damn I'd really gotten my money's worth". I got a good portion of food for only $8.95 plus tax. In fact there was so much food that I had another meal and a snack later on. It's a great value! Anyone that's had great Pad Thai will understand the intricate mix of flavors that make this dish wonderful. The slight sweetness, the burn (I like spicy), the subtle flavors of the cilantro, peanut, egg, lime, the "chew" of the rice noodles and the crunch of bean sprouts all come together to make it a very satisfying meal. Erawan Thai's version is not the absolute best I've ever had but it's still very good. It was noticeably sweeter than any other I've had. I might have had them put in less sugar but added more egg and bean sprouts. Just my thoughts... The server was polite and helpful with just the right amount of check backs. The restaurant itself is casual dining, nothing fancy. It looked clean too. Their menu looked pretty extensive with quite a few things I'd never seen before so I'm definitely interested in trying out some other things they offer. read more

Great service and even better food! I had the massaman curry. I was served a large enough portion that I was overly full with leftovers for lunch the next day. Can't wait for next time, the rest of the menu looks so good! read more

food is so authentic and i'm not sure how they get the food out so fast. service is so fast and this is definitely my new spot.

SHORT STAFFED!!! We hate going to place that don't have enough employees to wait on customers. Our Sunday lunch was ruined by Multiple strains of hair in our Pho soup. Food took forever & drink also to forever. There was ONLY 1 person waiting on customers, taking orders, running food, doing carry-out and checking people out, that was a JOKE. I felt sorry for the lady that had to do everything. The food was so rush, the quality was degrading :-( We will not be back Erawan Thai. P.S. I hate to do this, but this is the lowest 2 star I've given in a long time. read more

This little hole in the wall provided the best Thai food that I've ever had! We had the fresh summer rolls, a cup of Tom Kha, drunken noodles, a side of fried rice, Thai iced tea and green curry. My partner ordered jasmine tea but they gave her normal green tea. Our bill was surprisingly cheap. I'll know next time to ask them to pull back on the spice, because the green curry was so spicy that I was sweating! My only complaint is that the server was a little rude- I'm a server, and I know first hand what it's like to be short staffed. I don't blame her or anyone there. But her multi tasking skills were practically non existent and when I went up front to ask for silverware/chopsticks so we could eat our food that was growing cold by the minute, she flat out ignored me for 5 minutes. She just didn't super impress me with her lack of friendliness...but the food was too good to not go back. read more

We've been there many times and have enjoyed it each time. It was very crowded when we went there Sunday and they even had substitute servers. It was still slow but that was understandable. I had asked for more jalapenos and they never came. It was slammed I loved the vegetarian rolls. They were steaming hot on arrival, which was great. The sauce that is served with them is sweet and that is delightful. I had pho and it was flavorful. Many others in the restaurant had it, so I am assuming it is a favorite for others too. I always order a bigger portion to share and then take home for another meal. We will be back the next time we are on that side of town read more

First and very important, friendly and attentive service! Food was plentiful, hot and delicious!

Best pad Thai I can remember having. I had the combo which included seafood and beef with a flavorful sauce. (I was told it had a secret ingredient). Unpretentious environment, tasty dishes. Traveled across town to try this place. Will be back with friends to try other dishes! Don't know if this is important to you, they don't serve alcohol. read more

From reading the reviews, and getting a recommendation, I was excited to try this restaurant.... the excitement was very warranted. The beef pho was excellent! It is the best that I have had around, other than homemade by a friend of mine. The broth is good to reheat at home if you have left overs, but the noodles are NOT. The Bangkok chicken wings and satay chicken are excellent... both are given in generous portions. I will definitely make another trip to explore more options. read more

Erawan Thai - 26. Build Your Own Pho - Thai Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

Easily my favorite Thai food in Columbus! Compared to many, it's also the best priced and for really good portions. My go to dishes are the drunken noodles or pad kee mow and panang curry! Have tried a bunch of other dishes off the menu and loved them all. The staff, really the one lady that is always there, is so friendly! Worth the drive!! Specific to covid: I've only gotten carryout but it's been really safe. For dine in they have set a max for only a few tables and they all have plastic separators between each table read more

Erawan Thai has been on my go-to list for years now. I heard many positive things about the restaurant such as it being unapologetically authentic and flavorful. Finding myself on Refugee Rd this weekend, it was the perfect opportunity to finally try Erawan Thai. Overall, I had a great experience and I am excited to share my thoughts and experiences. SERVICE: The service was excellent! Our server was very attentive and caring for our group. She continuously ensured that we had enough water and were happy with our food choices. Additionally, she took the extra time to explain the differences between the dishes and make personalized recommendations. For example, I wanted a spicy meat-based dish and she recommended Pad Bai Gar Pow. Thank you so much for being a superstar! FOOD: As mentioned above, I had the Pad Bai Gar Pow (chicken) with 3/4 spiciness level. Overall, the dish was very delicious flavorful with garlic and the whole leaves of basil. However, the dish was not spicy at all. I had to added chili oil to make it spicier but it still wasn't at my desired level. We had spice sensitive members at our table so they might have made all of our dishes mild out of fear that we couldn't handle it(?). The portions are substantial. I had enough to take home for another meal. This dish would be elevated with a nice fried egg to add richness to the ground meat from the egg yolk. (I actually did this with my leftovers at home and it was delightful!) My friends enjoyed the drunken noodles, pad see eaw, and panang curry. Overall, all of my friends enjoyed their dishes commenting on their flavorfulness and depth of flavor. The drunken noodles and pad see eaw also lacked spicy. But they were still delicious! The panang curry was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy and savory. MISC: There is adequate parking in the lot outside the restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant is homey and cozy with the decor. read more

Place looks nice but the food here is absolutely bland and the ingredients were not fresh. I ordered the basil fried rice and it came out burnt smelling with no flavor. They charge extra for the thai basil but it wasn't even fresh. The stem were hairy and the leaves were black. If you want real good Thai food, I recommend Bangkok Grocery and Restaurant just a little down the road. read more

I went here for the first time today. Overall, it's fine. I got the green curry with shrimp and the chicken satay. That cost me $28, which I though was pretty pricy. However, if it tasted great I wouldn't mind but it wasn't great. The green curry shrimp was not very flavorful. It tasted very subtlety of curry. The main flavor was the coconut milk. The shrimp weren't very good and there wasn't that many. They give you a lot of chicken with an order of satay but they give you the tiniest bit of peanut sauce. The chicken was tasty with the peanut sauce though. The service was good. read more

Erawan Thai - Thai Near Me - Columbus, Ohio

My boyfriend and I had a craving for Thai, so of course we did our Yelp search to see who had the best reviews. We stumbled upon Erawan and although it was a bit of a drive for us, we decided to check it out anyway because of the great rating. We ordered the Tom Yum soup, fresh rolls and crab fried rice - all of which were AMAZING! The soup and fried rice both were very tasty, flavorful and came in large portions. The fresh rolls were just that, FRESH and were great. Just wish the rolls came with peanut sauce... that was the only thing missing. I think we may have found our new Thai home. Highly recommend! read more

Great little Thai place we found. I was craving some curry after we ended up at an Asian Fusion place with no real curry dish. I had a salad with peanut dressing to start, and Panaang curry w/ Shrimp and Tofu. Both came out quick. Food was tasty and not skimpy. Hot tea was also a plus. Seems like the area its in is Asian/Thai there were a few other restaurants around. It was worth the drive. Give it a try. read more

Love their food! We mostly pick our food up and enjoy it home. Service is good and prices are good!

If you want authentic Thai food this is the place to eat if you're a first timer i suggest the red curry and rice they ask you the level of spice you want they don't just assume so that's perfect but me I love it spicy they are always so kind and make you feel like family this is the best dish to eat if you have a cold or a sore throat it'll clear it right up it's honestly the perfect comfort food read more

A new Thai favorite, this was authentic as I've had in the area in some time. We ordered the Chicken Drunken Noodles, Shrimp Red Curry, Chicken Fried Rice, and the pan fried dumplings. The spice level of 3/5 was just right, I usually eat spicy food but don't like to go over the top with it. Was worth every penny, great value and plenty for leftovers. Ordered take-out and did not have to wait long at all. They do accept Apple Pay. A must try! read more

Really good food. We ordered take out and found something for everyone. My husband enjoys meat of all kind and I follow a more plant based diet (vegan). They had a few options available for me so I was excited. I had the red curry with tofu which I ordered at a spice level of one and it was not spicy enough. I also got a vegetable green salad and fresh spring rolls with tofu. The salad was big so I didn't end up eating it until the next day. The curry was pretty big also so it was lunch and dinner. I enjoyed the spring rolls as well but I wanted more of the dipping sauce bc it was really good. Would recommend and we will definitely go again. read more

I am obsessed with this place. The shrimp pho keeps me coming back every time. The calamari was amazing and all their food is hot and fresh.

We LOVE this little hole-in-wall Asian restaurant! After visiting Thailand and Vietnam a couple of years ago, we were craving a more authentic food experience. I've been coming to Erawan Thai for a few years now. I've never been disappointed with my dishes, the soups, noodles, curry, salads, wings, and rice that I've tried are all great! This is a family owned restaurant and usually they only have one or maybe two servers for the small business. During peak hours service might be slow and I've been other customers become impatient and leave. It makes me sad because this place is definitely worth having to wait a little extra for someone to come to your table with your drink. Although the space is small with I believe six 4-top tables and one large table that seats maybe 8-10, I've been lucky enough to not be here where there's a wait for a table. Maybe to go orders are more popular since I always see customers go in and out, and the phones are always ringing for orders. I especially love their chicken Tom yum and Tom ka soups! Both are flavorful :) My latest order from there was a pad Thai and a green curry. I hadn't had green curry since almost 5 years ago after a bad experience elsewhere, and I was so glad to have tried it again. I love choosing Erawan, and recommend everyone to try it when they get the chance! read more

I had the drunken noodles and the fresh lemonade. The lemonade was veryyyy sweet! The drunken noodles were good, although, I ask for a level 4 spicy, and it wasn't hot at all. Service is lacking mostly because I think they're understaffed. However the one server they had was super sweet and tried her hardest, she just seemed nervous and disoriented and overwhelmed. However, the food here is fantastic. We got the drunken noodles and Thai fried rice both at spice level 3. It had a good amount of heat but it was definitely tolerable. Perfectly spicy yet still super flavorful not just all pain. The Thai fried rice was our favorite, just super addictive, came out nice and hot, the chicken in it was cooked to perfection as well. The drunken noodles were amazing, we just loved the rice so much more. Definitely coming back for the food, cannot be beat. read more

Today I placed a take out order for the pho and added shrimp. I absolutely loved it! The broth was very flavorful and still very hot when i arrived. They give you a lot of toppings for your pho. I was amazed because other places barely give you anything. The pho comes in sizes medium, large, and extra large. I got the large and it was a lot. I couldn't finish it all in one sitting. I will definitely be returning. read more

I've now had a chance to visit Erawan a couple times since my below average visits. The reasons for my last 2 star review were because of extremely slow service and miscues with my party's meals. Service has been much better on my last two visits with reasonable times. I'd never expect quick service, but it is what you would expect for a small mom & pop type of place with only a few folks working at any given time. I still have to flag down the server from time to time for refills. While they highlight Thai in their name, they really do a solid bowl of pho and other Vietnamese dishes. The broth seemed just a little lighter on flavor than I last remembered, but still very satisfying. My kids love their tempura chicken tenders. read more

I decided to go out on a limb because my local spot is closed on sundays. Has become very expensive, and a few items seem to not be freshly made, more from a box flavor just re heated. I was a bit skeptical because of the location but do not make the mistake of judging a book by its cover. The staff on the phone was courteous and helpful. Explaining what I was ordering and helping make sure I was ordering what I thought I was ordering, which can happen from one restaurant to another. Pad Thai is my go to at Thai restaurants. And it did not disappoint. Portions. Are huge, I would say meant for two. Flavor is spot on. They do add cilantro which made for a fresh taste which I haven't had on Thai before. In our day and age we judge many things from the cover which is unfortunate, a place like this placed in a high end neighborhood would just kill it. Give it a try I do not think anyone will be disappointed in what they have to offer. read more

I had to go back and try the curry. My last review of the Erawan was glowing, the food was wonderful and there are many choices to try. So here is try two. We were going to go to another restaurant but found it did not open untill 3 on Sundays. So to the Erawan we go! My daughter had the chicken fried rice, again. LOL I started with their Wonton soup, very good the wonton rolls ( is that what they are called???) in the soup were very good throw in a bunch of veggys and its a must try for wanton soup fans. Now to the curry, I order chicken Thai green curry and was delighted when it came. It smelled and looked wownerful. The taste was somewhat sweet with just a little zing. There were nice chicken chunks and the veggies were just slightly carminalized. Big chunks of green bell pepper and egg plant . OK I think I an becoming a "fan boy" of the Erawan! read more

I had to stop halfway rather than risk hurting myself, very generous portions. Had the yellow curry with scallops, my friend had the chicken fried rice. I thought the yellow curry was considerably better than at other places, and there were at least a dozen scallops there, unusually generous for a scallop dish. The pineapples were a nice touch. My friend liked her fried rice but thought it could have used more vegetables. It was somewhat difficult to get a carryout order here mostly because the wrong menu is posted online on another site, and they do not have a carryout menu they could fax, etc. I think it would be a pretty good investment for them to get some carryout menus and post a good, easy to read menu online as theirs does not photograph well. They do have good service and the lady who took my order was very helpful. While I was there I noticed they have a shrimp and crab fried rice, will have to try that next time, sounds delicious! read more

I've been amused by the McThai Plaza for a few years. It's pretty far out of my way, though, so I never had a chance to stop in. Yesterday my errands brought me down this way; I had hoped to go to Bangkok or Kingy's Pizza but they were both closed, so I swung by Erewan. Service was, well, slow. They apologized and said they were shorthanded, but I saw several people around and there weren't many customers. Anyway, after perusing their large menu I ordered crab Rangoon and beef massaman curry. The crab Rangoon had come straight out of the fridge, I guess; it was alright and the outside was hot, but the center was cool. Otherwise it was good. The massaman was excellent: a great blend of flavors, plenty of beef and veggies (onions, carrots, potatoes,) and a great aroma. I dumped in my rice to absorb the flavors. All in all, decent. Not somewhere I can drop by very easily, so I don't know if I'll be back, and I want to try Bangkok too. read more
