Erawan Thai - Authentic Thai & Vietnamese Cuisine First Impressions & Ambiance Erawan Thai has turned into one of my reliable comfort spots when I'm craving fresh, flavorful Thai dishes in a laid-back setting. This unassuming gem is tucked inside McThai Center, with a warm atmosphere that feels both casual and special. The decor is charming, featuring a traditional Thai-style wooden hut as a focal point, glass-covered tables, and classic Thai motifs. Every table is stocked with Sriracha, hoisin sauce, and chili paste so you can customize your meal to your taste. Service can run a little slow, but it's clear everything is prepared fresh to order, which is worth the extra few minutes. What We Ordered & Our Thoughts Crab Rangoon Crispy, golden, and shaped into delicate flower-like pockets. The filling leans more toward cream cheese than crab, so expect a sweeter bite. Pro tip: mix the shredded cabbage and carrot garnish into the sweet and sour sauce that comes on the side--it's surprisingly good and brightens everything up. Rating: 3.5/5 Tom Yum Soup (#20, Chicken, Small Size) The broth is bright and aromatic, layered with lemongrass, ginger, cilantro, and lime. It comes with plenty of tender chicken and chunky vegetables that make it feel hearty without being heavy. This is one of the dishes I've come to count on--always comforting and consistently flavorful over multiple visits. Rating: 4/5 Thai Fried Rice (#58, Pork, Spice Level 2) This dish has become a personal go-to. The rice is perfectly cooked--fluffy and never mushy--with tender pork and crisp vegetables. There's a subtle sweetness that balances beautifully with the mild spice. Tip: Add a fried egg on top (not mixed in). It takes the dish to the next level. Rating: 4.5/5 Pad Thai (#50, Beef) Visually appealing, but the flavor didn't quite match the presentation. The noodles were too al dente (borderline crunchy), and the beef was just okay. Next time, I'd go with shrimp or chicken instead, or ask for the noodles cooked a bit softer. Rating: 2.7/5 (rounded up to 3/5) Basil Pork A solid dish that's absolutely worth the price. It's filling, with plenty of fresh basil in every bite and lots of tender pork. The only drawback is it can get a bit oily at the bottom, so have extra rice ready to balance it out. Rating: 3/5 Menu Variety & Pricing Erawan offers an extensive selection of Thai and Vietnamese classics, including curries, stir-fries, soups, and noodle dishes. Most entrees range from $10-$20 depending on portion size and protein. Portions are generous and often leave you with leftovers. ‍ Final Verdict Erawan Thai has quickly become one of my go-to spots for dishes I can count on--especially the pork Thai fried rice and tom yum soup. Whether you're craving a comforting bowl of broth or a plate of flavorful rice, it's a reliable place with consistent quality and great value. What I Love: * Authentic flavors, especially in the soups and fried rice * Cozy decor with thoughtful cultural touches * Fair prices and generous portions * The fried egg upgrade is a must-try * The sweet and sour sauce with the rangoon is perfect What Could Improve: * Some dishes (like the Pad Thai) could use a little more finesse (softer noodles and a different protein) * A bit of oiliness in certain stir-fries * Service can be slow, but it's because everything is cooked to order Overall Rating: 4/5 A great spot for comforting Thai soups, flavorful rice dishes, and a relaxed, authentic experience.

First time trying this little hole in the wall on the east side. I've heard a lot about how good the food is so I jumped on the chance when I was in that part of town. The restaurant is small but nice. The guy who took my order was friendly. I decided to order it as takeout but it was a dining room that I would feel comfortable dining in at another time. They have a long table set up down the center which would be great for a small group or large My choice today was a couple of orders of fresh spring rolls, chicken pad Thai (spice level 3), and a Szechuan beef stir fry. I loved everything except the fresh spring rolls. I wouldn't order them again. They have a large menu of items to choose from so I could see myself coming back again and again. Bottom line: DELICIOUS!

I am a new fan of this local Asian cuisine restaurant. They have excellent Thai and Vietnamese options. We started with the steamed dumplings which with a little chili sauce would've been my favorite dish of the meal but they're yummy either way. I ordered the drunken noodles with beef and a #4 spice. The noodles were so good and tasted authentically homemade. My friend ordered the pad Thai with chicken which was also delicious and not mushy like some I've had before. My only complaint is that it wasn't as spicy as I would've like for a 4 out of 5 spice level. Our server was kind and provided suggestions. The restaurant is mid seized and causal but I'll definitely be eating here again.

The customer service here is above and beyond what I've had in the longest time. It's a small restaurant but very busy when we went for a Sunday evening dinner. We had a variety of food: pineapple fried rice (I asked for a vegetarian version), red curry with chicken, red curry with vegetables, pad see ewe. All the food was very flavorful and if you need more spiciness they provide spices at the table. Also we forgot my daughter's water bottle and the owner rushed out to make sure we had it. I am so grateful!

I think this restaurant is just not for me. The first time we went I tried the basil chicken stir fry, which is what I always order at a Thai restaurant I try for the first time. I didn't like it, so I tried a slightly different version this time and I didn't care for it either. It has a high heat level, but still seemed tasteless and a little fermented? Even the fried bananas I got for dessert were flavorless. I give up, I will just go elsewhere for Thai food. At least the server was nice.

Delicious hot, tangy, lemony soup on a cold day- Tom ka is the way to go. It always hits the spot. Also grabbed pad see ew to go.

This unassuming hole in the wall is known to serve some pretty amazing Thai food. The interior had a classic, old fashioned vibe with wooden chairs and a long dining hall style table in the center. They have plenty of indoor seating options but it does fill up around dinner time. Take out is also available! The crab rangoons were very crispy on the outside and filled with a creamy mixture of crab meat inside. It was a good app to share and start with. It also comes with a sweet sauce to dip. The Tom yum talay was a spicy seafood soup with mushroom. The soup came with lots of mussels, squid, and shrimp. I got 3/5 spice and it had a little kick at the end. The broth was a little on the sweeter side and missing the sourness that I was expecting. It does cost a lot more than other soups but the portion was also very big. The pad see eaw was very flavorful! The spice level (3/5) was definitely enough for me and the Chinese broccoli added a nice texture. The noodles were a little too soft but still had some chewiness to it. You can choose your protein so I chose the chicken and it was tender. The portion was big enough to share as well. Service is a bit slow since they are a mom and pop shop and there is only one person cashing out and serving, but the server was very friendly. Gratuity(18%) is also automatically included to the bill! I don't think I would travel far to try it again but overall a good place to try if you're in the mood for spicy food and on the Southside!

Definitely lose the touch of Thai food, other than thai panang curry which is good, everything else is nothing tasted like Thai. Great service and the appetizer plate is good.

We were greeted and told to sit wherever we like. We were the only patrons at this time. With it being our first time, we took awhile to go thru the menu. So many choices to choose from and so many appealing entrees. We ended up getting the diving chicken and braised lamb stretch noodle accompanied by some chicken wings to try. My diving chicken blew my socks off. It was beautifully presented, aromatic, and warm. It was accompanied by white rice. With Plenty of tasty marinated chicken, bok choy, green onions and bean sprouts in a semi spicy broth. Super fulfilling and a nice portion. I shared my bowl with a hungry 6 year old and still had leftovers! Fiance got the braised lamb and stretch noodles, he admitted he had no clue what he was getting or what to expect. Nevertheless he received a nice hearty bowl of lamb and hand stretch noodle in a nice and hot lamb broth. Also accompanied by white rice. He finished majority of his bowl only leaving some broth behind. We both tried each others and both agreed on the diving chicken having a better taste but I think it's because it's spicier. The chicken wings were on the dry side but they were still tasty and completely devoured. Service was standard and immediate. I didn't see a kids menu. Buy we Really enjoyed the food. Can't wait to try more!!
